Chapter 92: Chapter 92: Do You Really Love Me?

Chloe Reed’s fingers clenched into tight fists. Unable to calm the turmoil in her heart, she abruptly stood and headed for the door.

"Stop."

But Walker Grant’s calm voice called out.

Chloe Reed said, "Did you bring me here just to torture me? To make me watch you treat someone else’s child so well? For this child, you even got a vasectomy..."

She took a deep breath, her chest feeling as if it were being pricked by countless tiny needles. The pain made it hard to breathe.

"How could you be such a bastard?"

Walker Grant’s brow furrowed. "I wanted you to bond with Noah."

"Impossible!"

Chloe Reed spun around to face him. "First, because of him, you’ve neglected me and lied to me about so many things. I can’t forgive you. Second, he’s Sunny Reed’s child. I hate Sunny Reed, so there’s no way I’m getting along with her kid. I suggest you drop the idea."

Seeing her solemn expression, her eyes cold and glittering with a shattered light, Walker Grant’s brow furrowed.

"SOB... SOB..."

The tense atmosphere frightened Noah Grant, and he burst into tears.

Walker Grant held him and said soothingly, "Don’t cry. Your uncle and auntie aren’t fighting."

Noah Grant sobbed, tears clinging to his eyelashes.

Chloe Reed sneered. "Like mother, like son. He’s really learned her tricks—crying on command. Most people could never master a skill like that."

"Don’t be so harsh."

Walker Grant frowned at her. "He’s just a child."

Chloe Reed gave him a sarcastic look. "You’re the one who insisted on bringing me here. Now that I’m speaking my mind, you’re not happy."

Walker Grant felt a wave of exhaustion, and a spark of irritation ignited in his chest.

But the little boy was still in his arms, so he had to keep his emotions in check.

Chloe Reed looked away and turned to leave. "I’ll only make you all unhappy by being here. So, for everyone’s sake, it’s better if I go."

Walker Grant gritted his teeth. "Chloe Reed, why can’t you just accept him for my sake?" 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂

Without turning back, Chloe Reed retorted, "Then why can’t you stop seeing them for my sake?"

A dead silence filled the air.

Only Noah Grant’s soft sobs could be heard.

Chloe Reed’s tone suddenly grew heavy with a bitter sorrow. "Walker Grant, I have to ask... did you ever truly love me?"

But she didn’t want to hear his answer. She pushed the door open and walked out.

She hadn’t expected to run into Sunny Reed and the nanny, who were just returning.

Sunny looked flustered and anxious. Seeing Chloe, she asked, "Sister, what are you doing here?"

Chloe Reed couldn’t be bothered to acknowledge her and stepped right into the elevator.

But Sunny Reed grabbed her hand. "Sister, you’ve only just arrived. Don’t be in such a rush to leave. I’ll cook lunch. Why don’t we eat together?"

"Let go!"

Chloe Reed violently yanked her hand away.

Sunny Reed went with the motion, collapsing to the floor with a cry of pain. "Ouch..."

The nanny rushed forward to help her. "Eldest Young Madam, are you all right?"

Just then, Walker Grant walked over. Seeing the scene, his brow immediately furrowed. "What’s going on?"

Sunny Reed waved her hand dismissively. "It’s nothing, Walker. Don’t blame my sister. Were you two fighting? Is this another misunderstanding about me? I’m fine."

Walker Grant looked at Chloe Reed in the elevator, his voice hardening. "You hit her again?"

Chloe Reed’s hands clenched into fists. As she watched the all-too-familiar scene unfold, her gaze grew dangerously sharp.

She suddenly stormed out of the elevator and began slapping Sunny Reed across the face.
