Picking up Girls With My System
Chapter 474: Heavenly Celestial Meditation Art
Arthur could control multiple elements. Not all of them were at the highest level—he was better with certain magical elements.
But he could still use spells from the other elements, such as water, or even the earth element itself.
Those elements were much better against those statues. Fire wouldn’t work, and Arthur saw that: the statue he’d dropped to the ground and destroyed was moving again!
The statues were rebuilding themselves with time. It was, once again, a trial of endurance.
But Arthur was just the best person to be there. Usually, to enter the Phoenix Trial, the mage needed an affinity for the fire element. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
Myla was a Fire Mage, and Arthur also had quite the skill when it came to fire spells.
Mages with an affinity for fire, most of the time, didn’t have an affinity for ice, either. It was already rare for mages to have multiple elements. Having fire and ice was even rarer.
Arthur’s affinity for Ice was at its peak. He didn’t have any mana inside his body—it had all been converted to Spiritual Force by his Monlog Giant Meditation Technique.
But he could still use his Spiritual Force to cast his spells. It was just a more refined and stronger version of mana.
However, Arthur wanted to try something else. He closed his eyes and connected with all the followers he had across the planets.
They were all worshiping him, bestowing power on him. It was Celestial Energy, a power he could harvest and use to cast all of his spells.
Arthur aimed his palm at the statue, which was getting closer to Myla, using Celestial Energy to cast the ice spell, hoping to freeze it in place.
The power behind his ice magic was way stronger than he expected. That Celestial Energy was much more powerful than ordinary mana.
’The gods are powerful for a reason,’ Arthur realized.
A massive burst of energy came from the magical circles forming in front of Arthur. Ice formed around the statue—ice with a different color, a hint of gold.
"Divine Freezing!" Arthur muttered.
The ice started from the feet and went all the way up the head of that statue in a matter of seconds. It didn’t move anymore.
Myla stared at the statue. It had almost gotten to her, but Arthur froze it in time.
He didn’t stop there. With the number of followers worshiping him, Arthur had plenty of Celestial Energy to use.
"Take this, stupid statues."
All of the statues froze, unable to withstand his powers. It was quite satisfying to see the once mighty statues freeze like that.
Myla walked over to where he was.
"How did you do this?" she asked, "You can use multiple elements? But the energy...it felt different."
Arthur wasn’t planning on sharing his secrets with her. Imagine how she would feel after hearing about the fact that he came from another planet where people were worshiping him like a god.
"Are you okay?"
Myla nodded. "Yes, I am."
The system gave him a warning after he used his Celestial Energy.
[Do you want to refine your Spiritual Energy into Celestial Energy? This will increase your power even further, but the gods might sense you.]
Arthur stared at the notification in front of him in deep thought. If he wanted to get stronger, that was the best path to follow.
It didn’t matter if people used his dragon meditation technique or the demonic one he created. All of the energy he harvests from their faith would turn into Celestial Energy, the same.
Demons, Gods, they all had the same energy within them. What changed was how they used it.
Arthur was a mix of everything at that point, with multiple bloodlines inside his body.
However, they all had something in common: divinity.
Dragons, Phoenixes, Giants. Those legendary creatures were divine.
The so-called Gods were just humans who found ways to use the same energy and reach a similar rank of power, and even beyond.
Arthur accepted the offer from his system. Once he did, a new meditation technique came to him.
[Heavenly Celestial Meditation Art.]
The meditation used to convert other types of energy into Celestial Energy. It also allowed Arthur to gather more Celestial Energy from his worshipers and grow stronger.
To get the most out of that meditation, Arthur had to gain more followers. The more he had, the better things would be.
That was something he would think about after leaving the Phoenix Trials.
"You won’t share your secrets with me?" Myla asked again, "Your ice magic had a hint of gold, like something divine. It’s impossible, right?"
Arthur chuckled at it.
"Of course it’s impossible. I am no god."
They stared at the statues for a moment, waiting to see if they would move again. None of them moved.
No more statues showed up either. But nothing else happened.
Arthur and Myla sat there, resting and looking around, waiting for the next part of the trial.
"Are we done with it?" Arthur asked.
Myla was the one who knew more about that trial.
"I don’t know, but I don’t think so."
A trial from such a legendary creature as the Phoenix wouldn’t be that short. Arthur was sure there would be more to come.
Having nothing to do but wait, Arthur decided to try his new Celestial Meditation.
It wasn’t that easy to practice due to his multiple bloodlines. Arthur had to make all of them work together when meditating, and that was hard.
But with his current attributes—a staggering 2023 points in Wisdom—Arthur could learn things pretty quickly.
The Celestial Energy from his followers was now being channeled to his body, all thanks to the meditation technique.
Arthur felt the tremendous power entering his body. Even in that trial, which felt like a dream because his real body wasn’t there, training still worked.
Then, as he was lost in his meditation, a voice echoed inside his head.
"A Celestial... What are you doing here?"
It was the Phoenix speaking!
