Chapter 1619: Crimson Blood Demon General (2)

Kent was pushed back 200 meters, while the Crimson Blood Demon General moved back 50 meters. That was a clear sign of who the true monster in strength was.

The initial clash always determines that. However, Kent didn’t panic at that.

He hadn’t used his full strength in their first clash, and he knew the Crimson Blood Demon General also hadn’t used his full strength. However, being pushed back showed he could not underestimate his opponent.

So he moved again, and the danger followed like a tide. His movement was extremely fast, to the point that he was before the Crimson Blood Demon General before he knew it.

However, his opponent’s reaction was even faster.

The swords met, and the sly bastard curved his blade to slice toward the hilt of Kent’s sword, aiming to take off his fingers. However, Kent was also a step ahead.

He moved his body back and unsummoned his sword, then resummoned it, causing the Crimson Blood Demon General to miss his mark entirely.

"You like to play dirty, huh?" Kent took aim at his leg, and just when the Crimson Blood Demon General was about to meet his attack head-on, Kent somersaulted, his right leg whipping out and landing an overhead blow on the side of the demon’s face.

This blow threw his head back, and, taking advantage, Kent stomped on his chest, sending him flying.

"Rapid Slash."

He followed through with a powerful slash, manifesting 450 sword arcs, each imbued with the power of Absolute Sword Energy.

While he still only had access to Heavenly Sword Energy, unlocking an absolute form of it made the [Rapid Slash] even more deadly.

The sword arcs closed in on the Crimson Blood Demon General. However, with a casual swing of his sword, he destroyed all 450 and charged forward again.

Kent tapped into the [Soul Map] and vanished, appearing 1 km away.

"Let’s try that again."

He unleashed the [Rapid Slash] again, and this time, he imbued a small amount of Blood Qi into it. When the 450 sword arcs closed in on the Crimson Blood Demon General, his brow finally furrowed.

His defence this time was stronger, sensing that the sword arcs weren’t as simple as the first few he received. However, he still managed to defend against the sword arcs and paused, his eyes narrowing at Kent.

Seeing this, Kent smiled. "It would be in your best interest not to underestimate this young monarch."

Kent unleashed his [Chaos Monarch Sovereignty] aura, causing the expression on the Crimson Blood Demon General’s face to darken further.

They both are monarchs, or at least Kent is a True monarch, and he had merely brushed the surface.

’He is not simple,’ he thought as his greatsword trembled, a wave of overwhelming blood energy surging out.

Kent saw a terrifying sword arc come at him, and the next second, it happened. The Crimson Blood Demon General tapped into a sword technique and unleashed a wide arc.

"Crimson Moon Execution."

The sky reddened, and a moon appeared within it, shining with a red glow as a large sword arc flashed out, aiming for Kent’s life.

Kent didn’t underestimate the attack. He summoned the [Chaos Scale Shield] and used it to block the attack while his own sword moved, unleashing another strike.

"Void Cleave."

The distance between them wasn’t much, but considering the experience Kent had under his belt, the Void Cleave was as deadly as if he had unleashed it from 2 km away.

The two deadly attacks illuminated the air, one with a red glow and the other with a golden glow.

When the sword arc landed on the shield, Kent finally sensed the power behind it. While he managed to defend against it, he felt that if a much stronger version of this attack came, just one layer of the [Chaos Scale Shield] would not be enough.

He sensed that, and so he decided to probe further and see if he could discover everything about the demon general.

He had yet to use his sword domain or even his Immortal Sword Intent, so Kent wasn’t about to put all his cards on the table.

’Let’s see if you can keep hiding from me, demon.’

Kent knew that if he did nothing, he would never find out what the demon was made of. So he unleashed all his flame veins, and at once, his dragon wings lit up in flames, one turning green while the other turned red.

But Kent didn’t stop there. Knowing what he was after, he summoned the [Jade Void Wings], and at once, his speed exploded.

The Crimson Blood Demon General clearly saw him move, but before he could make sense of anything, a slash landed on his neck.

He pushed his head back, letting the sword only graze his neck. However, his arms, legs, and waist were soon attacked, forcing him to move back.

But as if that would save him, Kent used his speed advantage and pressed his attack, his sword landing on both flesh and metal.

With the Jade Void Wings combined with the flame veins and Kent’s own dragon wings, the Crimson Blood Demon General saw him as a blur.

However, Kent didn’t press his attack much longer. After all, through the chaos, he saw that in 2 seconds, the Crimson Blood Demon General would unleash a powerful technique, and if he were closer, it would end terribly for him.

So he used the Soul Map to vanish from range just when the Crimson Blood Demon General unleashed a rather sinister skill, one that had the potential to kill someone like Kent.

"Crimson Chains Obliteration." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Chains forged from blood and hell metal lashed out, their dangling swords filling the battlefield. Kent, thinking he was out of range, stopped and was about to unleash his own technique when a chain burst out of the ground and latched onto his legs.

He felt his energy drain so fast that by the time he severed the chains, he felt a bit sluggish.

"What was that?" His confused words didn’t even finish registering when two more chains came at him. This time, he didn’t let them touch him.

He flapped his wings and vanished into a blur of motion. However, as he moved away, Kent saw something alarming. No matter how fast he moved, the chains followed.

It felt like he wasn’t running from them; they were chasing him at his own pace.

A terrible danger surrounded Kent, and in that instant, he saw two possible futures.

One was the chains exploding, sending him flying away, or the Crimson Blood Demon General using a movement technique to appear before him and sever his head from his body.

The second happened, and it was so fast that when the Crimson Blood Demon General appeared before him, Kent didn’t even know how it happened.

His sword moved as the future he saw appeared before him in the form of a red sword arc, aimed at his neck.

"Die, you lizard!"

The Crimson Blood Demon General shouted, and Kent frowned. The next second, his body moved up and turned just right to offer something other than his head.

His left hand was severed cleanly off his shoulder, sending a wave of terrifying pain down his body. This sent chills down his spine.

BANG

The Crimson Blood Demon General never saw it at all. He came for Kent’s head, and he got a hand. However, he underestimated Kent’s resolve.

Just when his severed hand flew up into the air, his right leg moved and landed on the Crimson Blood Demon General’s groin, shattering the left ball.

"AAAHHHHHHH!" His scream sent shockwaves far and wide.

Kent used the time to grab his severed hand and teleport away.
