The total income for the ten months since Fengyu entered the city came to an average 1.000 spirit stones monthly, which is a total of 10.000 spirit stones after taking off all expenses, a huge sum for Fengyu!

According to his new calculations, his monthly income from now on would be a whooping 1.300 spirit stones after expenses!

Over 15.000 spirit stones yearly - subtracting the 5.000 spirit stones in rent yearly, he still gained 10.000 spirit stones!

This means I have a total of around 135.000 spirit stones! Earning 10.000 spirit stones for 5 years is barely enough to cover this!

Anyways, if he wanted, he could simply not convert the money and the city would know nothing about how much he earned. He only liked converting it because his current upgraded spatial bag only had 10 cubic metres, which was enough to fill up to 1 million spirit stones... but he couldn’t possibly fill his spatial bag with spirit stones, and he had a few other items, so he simply converted everything for the ease of trade.

Ren Chao handed over a spatial bag containing the jade coins. Fengyu held the opening of the spatial bag on top of his own, the trade happening in secret under the control of both people’s spiritual control.

No one took a single stone or coin more, and everyone was happy.

Fengyu said a few more words before he left this hall, walking out onto the eastern main street.

"The letter of invitation for this task specified that I can directly choose among the three hospitals in the city to become a guest doctor there..." Fengyu thought about the mission letter.

Based on the notes of the senior in the library, he was assigned to become a guest doctor at a hospital, a place where most battle wounds and general ailments would be treated. Besides them, the doctors’ offices all over the city specialised in different things. Usually, a patient would have a check-up in the hospital and then either be treated in the hospital or recommended to a doctor’s office.

A hospital was a huge undertaking in the city, requiring a lot of funds, the income being in the middle range. A doctor opening up a doctor’s office is usually more profitable, so the income of the hospital mostly goes to the doctors to keep them there...

Considering this, a hospital is 90% a failed business with risks but no profit. So, why would anyone open a hospital?

In fact, among the three hospitals, only one was opened by the city in consideration of the needs of the citizens, the other two were opened up individually -

In the north there is the Grand Spirit Hospital, the hospital opened by the city. To the east is the Thousand Peaks Hospital, opened under the cooperation of the peaks outside the eastern gate, used for the training of their own disciples and also to treat their disciples for free there.

The last one is in the northwest, the Spirit Beast Hospital! A hospital in the spirit beast district, dedicated to spirit beasts’ wounds!

Spirit Beasts have wisdom but their bodies are still bodies of beasts - even a transformation into human form is simply a transformation into a stronger body to be able to move easier and have more interactions with the humans in the city. But when it comes to fighting, they will still fight in their beast bodies. An injury in that case will naturally have to be treated in their beast form and not human form.

Though while the hospital is mostly dedicated to beasts, a third of the patients are still humans who live in the western part of the city.
