Chapter 31: Void Dimension Teleportation Sigils

Morgana and the three dark knights left the area through the magic portal they had summoned.

Leonor stood back up with Sera’s help. Sebastian and Sera already knew Leonor’s true identity. Rosie, however, did not.

Throughout the entire battle, she remained confused about why Morgana and the dark knights from the Demon Kingdom had come to this place.

They were able to open portals so easily, right in the heart of Archie Territory. Just seeing it and imagining it was terrifying enough.

Leonor turned her face to the side and looked toward Edmund, who was still lying unconscious inside the forest.

His eyes remained closed while crimson mana energy continued surrounding his body.

"Edmund?"

The woman hurried over to Edmund, who still lay helpless.

Her crimson energy remained inside his body, continuously channeling enough mana to help him recover.

Sera glanced toward Sebastian. The two of them stepped closer and observed Edmund’s condition up close. Both of them looked shocked.

"What the..."

"Sister Morgana beat him mercilessly. But he’s lucky to still be alive," Leonor explained.

The woman beside Sebastian narrowed her eyes while staring at Leonor’s back, "Leonor."

The girl turned around and looked at Sera, who had been watching her all this time, "What is it, Sister Sera?"

"What happened here is extremely strange. You must realize that too."

"Too many things happened. So later, I’m going to ask you for a detailed explanation," Sera added. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Leonor stayed silent for a moment, her red pupils fixed directly on Sera’s face. She slowly nodded in agreement.

"I’ll explain everything."

"However... I’ll only explain it when Edmund is awake and listening too."

"Of course," Sera replied.

"For now, we’ll focus on helping Edmund recover. Rosie can..."

"It’s better not to, Sister Sera."

Sera and Rosie became even more confused. Leonor was clearly rejecting the suggestion to heal Edmund. It was completely outside their expectations.

Leonor let out a quiet sigh and stared straight ahead, clearly noticing the expressions on Sera, Sebastian, and Rosie’s faces, all of them waiting for an explanation.

"It’s a little complicated. I’ll explain everything later."

Sebastian turned toward Sera and Rosie. "There’s no point in forcing Lady Leonor right now. Our priority is healing Edmund as quickly as possible."

Sera fell silent for a moment before agreeing with Sebastian. Leonor would not explain anything until Edmund finally woke up from unconsciousness.

If they wanted answers to their curiosity, the best option was to focus on Edmund’s recovery and wait for Leonor to explain everything herself.

Sebastian walked over to Edmund and lifted him onto his back. Now carrying Edmund, he prepared to leave.

Leonor and the others followed behind Sebastian. They remained alert and cautious, preventing any danger from ambushing them.

Sera did not know how severe Edmund’s condition truly was.

The strongest knight in Archie Territory had been injured after fighting Morgana. Still, she could only hope the man would recover quickly.

She was certain Leonor already had a plan for Edmund’s recovery.

Five days later.

After lying unconscious for five nights, the crimson light flowing through Edmund’s veins finally began to fade. The wounds on his body had healed and returned to normal.

In the middle of the night, the man slowly opened his eyes and looked at the ceiling of his room.

His vision was blurry at first, but little by little it became clear again.

Where... am I?

Edmund slowly turned his head to the side and clearly saw a red-haired girl sleeping with her head resting against the edge of his bed.

She had dark red hair similar to the woman in the red dress, but she was not that woman.

"Leonor?"

Hearing her name spoken softly, Leonor opened her eyes and stretched lazily.

The moment she realized Edmund was awake, her sleepy face instantly brightened with excitement.

"Edmund?!" Leonor greeted enthusiastically.

She helped Edmund sit up on the bed and poured water into a glass, allowing him to drink it slowly.

The man accepted the glass and drank quietly. Leonor’s eyes remained fixed on him, making Edmund feel confused.

"What is it?" Edmund asked.

"Nothing. I’m just... amazed."

"Amazed? I ended up badly injured like this, so why are you amazed?"

"No human has ever survived after fighting my sister," Leonor replied.

Edmund finished the water and placed the glass onto the bedside table.

His thoughts remained focused on the incident, on the deadly battle between him and Morgana.

However, because of Morgana’s regeneration ability, Edmund had become completely powerless against her.

"So... who exactly is she?"

"Morgana Mughort. She’s the first daughter of the Demon King of Mughort," Leonor explained.

"You called her sister. So does that make you a Demon Princess too?"

"The situation is a little complicated. The Demon King of Mughort adopted me because I possess the power of a goddess incarnation. That’s why I have to call Morgana my sister," Leonor answered.

So that was the truth. Leonor’s power did not come from royal demon blood, but from the power of Lilith’s incarnation.

It seemed the Demon King of Mughort adopted Leonor solely to control that power.

"But I injured her pretty badly. I’m sure she won’t be able to attack again anytime soon," Leonor said.

Edmund felt relieved. The battle against Morgana had exhausted both his body and mind.

He had no idea what the city’s condition was after everyone realized a battle like that had taken place.

"Do you also know why the fire lions appeared?" Edmund asked.

"They used Void Dimension Teleportation Sigils," Leonor answered.

"Sigils?"

Leonor stood up and walked to the other side of the room, taking Edmund’s empty glass and refilling it with water.

The girl knew Edmund had many questions about what happened in the northern forest.

Their conversation would be long and exhausting enough to leave their throats dry.

"When I arrived with my friends, I already sensed strange sigils in several places," Leonor explained while handing the glass back to him.

"But I didn’t have time to destroy them because of the situation, and I couldn’t reveal my identity."

Leonor sat back down on the wooden chair, turning her body toward Edmund, "But after the fight against Morgana, I had the chance to destroy the three main sigils in the forest."

"There won’t be any more fire lions, and the demon forces won’t be able to use portals inside the forest anymore."

Edmund fell silent for a moment. He originally thought his only problem was raising and guiding Leonor properly so she would not destroy him or his family.

But the longer things continued, the more he realized there was a much more complicated situation happening behind the lives of the people around him.

"Who placed those sigils? Could it be... demons who successfully infiltrated the territory?" Edmund asked.

"I don’t know about that," Leonor answered.

"Maybe you should ask Sister Sera. She’s a mage, so she’ll definitely understand the kind of sigils I’m talking about."
