Benjamin Shaw’s sudden departure plunged the mood in the private room into silence, with the three people holding their wine glasses, momentarily losing the desire to drink.

"You probably already know that Easton Holmes and Alice Turner have divorced, right?" Ryan Taylor broke the silence first, placing his wine glass on the table. He turned sideways to look at Easton Holmes, who was sitting beside him.

Easton Holmes nodded while looking at him: "I heard from my wife that the two of them just divorced this morning."

"Have you noticed that Benjamin seems very unhappy? Could it be that he has fallen for Alice..." Ryan Taylor stopped mid-sentence, suddenly realizing that someone closely related to Alice Turner was sitting nearby, and he didn’t finish his thought, not wanting to upset that person again.

The implication was clear enough for even the slowest person to understand what he was hinting at, let alone smart ones like Easton Holmes and Thomas Fisher; Ryan’s attempt at denial was almost like covering one’s ears while stealing a bell.

Thomas Fisher responded with disgruntlement: "He feels guilty."

Recalling the recording Benjamin Shaw had played for him earlier made him particularly furious. He never expected his third brother would do something like that; it was not manly at all.

"Benjamin feels guilty? Guilty about what?" Easton Holmes looked at Thomas Fisher with surprise and curiosity.

Ryan Taylor was also puzzled as to why Thomas Fisher would say such a thing, like Easton Holmes, tilting his head to look at him, waiting for an explanation to clear their confusion.

"Of course he feels guilty; he was actually threatening a woman," Thomas Fisher said indignantly, filled with resentment towards Benjamin Shaw’s actions.

Ryan Taylor seemed to understand, but Easton Holmes became even more confused: "Who did he threaten? Alice Turner?"

It should be Alice Turner; otherwise, Thomas wouldn’t be this mad. But why would Benjamin threaten Alice? How exactly did he threaten her?

His wife had only mentioned on the phone this morning that Benjamin and her sister got divorced, nothing more, and given how well he knew his wife, she wouldn’t have withheld information.

"Except for Alice, who else would he bully?" Thomas Fisher remained very angry, with an indignant expression.

"Alice was his wife, yes, but he never truly loved her, and she never loved him either, especially now that they’re already divorced," Thomas Fisher interrupted Ryan Taylor before he could finish, unable to listen any further, somewhat annoyed.

Hearing this, Ryan Taylor’s brow furrowed, "They just divorced today; are you and Alice Turner only together from today?"

He didn’t mean to blame anyone, just speaking from a stance of justice. Both were his good brothers, and he didn’t want to take sides.
