Even though Han Ziyan did not believe it anymore, she had no choice. In the entire family, only her mother was willing to care for her. As for the rest of the Han family, it was better not to even start on them. These people were heartless to the bone. Even if she made a mistake, she was still their family member. How could they ignore her like that? They had no heart at all! The more she thought about it, the colder her heart became. Just wait, when she became successful, she was going to let these people taste the same kind of helplessness that she felt. How dare they look down at her as if she were not worth anything?

However, Meng Yunhan had bought her new clothes for her, and she did not want to cause trouble with her mother for the time being. She nodded and said to her mother, "Alright, Mom. I will go to sleep now; I am quite tired. You should also go to sleep."

Han Ziyan had been running around for the entire day, and in the end, she only got two sets of clothes. Though Han Ruochen had the same number of sets, her clothes were prettier and more expensive. This was something that Han Ziyan knew and was clearly dissatisfied with. Clearly, she used to be the little princess of the Han family; when did it start to change?

She was really upset and had nowhere to vent her anger. She could only go to her room and catch some shut-eye!

"Alright, go and sleep. You must be tired." Meng Yunhan was just as tired, but she still boiled some water for Han Ziyan to wash her feet and hands before using the remaining water to wipe her own face. She thought that she would be able to sleep peacefully after so much tossing, but who would have expected that Han Yichen would lock the door? Meng Yunhan was so angry that she was about to fume with anger. How could this man be so unreasonable?

She used her own money to buy clothes for Han Ziyan and did not even ask him for a penny. Why was he acting so petty!? Meng Yunhan never thought that there was anything wrong with her taking Han Ziyan out of the house and letting her eat in the state-run restaurant. If only she knew that by doing this, she had slapped Han Yichen’s face in front of his stepdaughter. Would she treat his threats seriously in the future? Of course not! She would just take his words as far as her mother was doting on her to some extent!

However, Meng Yunhan never thought about these things and couldn’t understand Han Yichen’s actions. If anything, she thought that the man was led astray by Han Ruochen.

That girl was simply trying to drive a wedge between her and Han Yichen and that foolish man couldn’t even see that. Meng Yunhan stomped her feet and then walked toward the room which belonged to Han Jianyou and Han Yong. if the man did not want to sleep with her then she would not lower herself and beg him to let her in. she still had a place to stay!

Who was he showing his temper to?

Meng Yunhan was busy cursing Han Yichen. She thought that the man was deliberately acting up, but Han Yichen had no such thoughts. He just wanted to sleep peacefully. He knew that once Meng Yunhan finished using her money she would come to bother him. Han Yichen had calculated the amount that Meng Yunhan might have spent on Han Ziyan, and did not want to cause any disruptions in the house, so he closed the door of the bedroom.

Sure enough, the next morning when Han Yichen woke up, Meng Yunhan came after him, hot on her heels. "I have no money for lunch today." Meng Yunhan knew very well how to sell pity, she knew that as long as she shed some tears and cried a little her husband would give into her. But this time she had miscaulculated. Han Yichen was already furious at her for spending money at Han Ziyan, how could he give money to her?

He narrowed his eyes and stated coldly, "What do you mean by you have no money? You clearly have a lot of money look at how you are spending. Just arrange something, since you are so capable."

Meng Yunhan was stunned. She looked at the man in front of her as if he couldn’t even recognise him anymore. She blinked her eyes at him and questioned, "You...do you even know what you are saying? If you don’t give me any money then I will have to stay hungry throughout the day! How can you be so heartless?"

She was used to living a pampered life. How could she stay hungry thrughout the day?

"Then you can cook something and take with you, anyway I have no money to give you." Han Yichen refused to be swayed. If Meng Yunhan had respected him last night and let him teach a lesson to Han Ziyan then he would have given her some money to buy lunch but this woman was stubborn. She would rather offend him than let her daughter suffer. Since that was the case then she had to learn that there were consequences of going against him.

He couldn’t touch her precious daughter but he could deal with her at least!

Meng Yunhan never thought that the man would act so heartlessly, her eyes turned wide with disbelief and anger as she said to him, "Han Yichen, are you really going to do this to me? I have no time to cook anything and you know that. Just..just give me some money, we are husband and wife, there is nothing wrong with you giving me a little money!"

"No matter what you say I will still say the same thing. I have no money at all!"
