Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World
Chapter 875: Passion Or Necessity?
"... That’s very impressive..." N’bayé said as she looked at the arrangements of ownerless Heavenly Beacons floating around her.
Not far from her was the elegant and noble Phestus in his humanoid form.
Phestus had one arm behind his back with his two legs put together. His right hand was raised with magic runes flashing on his sharp fingernails.
He waved his fingers slightly and the reality fabric began to tear once again.
Phestus had gotten used to this process and could now successfully create two or three ownerless Heavenly Beacons with every attempt.
N’bayé, wearing her red robe with tunic tattoos glowing all over her body, watched with genuine amazement and interest.
She was amazed at how Phestus made what he was doing look so simple.
She analyzed him a little too much and saw that most of Phestus’s tricks came from the runes etched on his fingernails.
Every other part of his body looked normal. No flashing lights, no release of power.
So whenever he clawed at the fabric of reality and tore out reality fragments, it always looked like he was doing it with pure brute strength when in fact the activity required a very complex formation of magic circles and magic rune placements.
As N’bayé watched, she memorized with the intention of applying this technique by herself later on.
With the new power structure she had gotten from the All-King after her evolution, N’bayé was free to explore different paths to increase her magic powers.
But that was not why she was here today so she only memorized the technique and decided that if necessary, she would ask for exchange lessons with Phestus.
For now, she was with Diane who was also next to her and observing all these floating ownerless Heavenly Beacons that had not yet had their locations set.
Right now, they were high in the sky of the Central Coverage and had come here to handle their own part of the affairs.
"How may I help you?" Phestus asked as he put his hand down and focused all his attention on this consort of the All-King.
Diane spoke up, "We are preparing for the next invasion and have chosen Horror Heaven," She said, a fighting glint flashing in her eyes.
She was way too eager to begin this invasion process.
"Oh," Phestus said and waved his hand as hundreds of heavenly beacons separated themselves and flew over to him, controlled by an invisible force.
"Why Horror Heaven, if I may ask?" Phestus proved as he began to access all the Heavenly Beacons at once with his powerful mind.
He was intending to set their location right now.
It was easy for him, Hive Heaven had given him experience and allowed him to differentiate different law signals after a few minor errors.
It would be bad if he set the location to the wrong place.
"The entity there once offended us and killed a lot of lionesses participating in the Consort Trial.
The All-King has not forgotten this transgression and the debt of blood must be paid in full," Diane said as she clenched her fist with a frown.
Regarding things like passion fighting, N’bayé would never be seen engaging or encouraging that kind of conversation.
As expected, N’bayé and Phestus, both of whom were Magus Lions, looked at Diane with a blank expression.
For N’bayé, this invasion was a logical necessity for the lions to keep their spot as the number one position as the default rulers and royalty of the universe. She and Phestus did not need to involve any emotional messages in it to understand why they must do it.
Diane speaking about revenge was just for herself and other passion-filled lions.
"Are we invading soon?" Phestus asked, this time he directed the question to N’bayé who was better for him to have a conversation with.
He could not for the life of him imagine having to plan out things with two types of lions, War Lions and Demonic Lions.
"No," N’bayé shook her head, "Hive Heaven must be fully integrated first."
"What about the distribution of True Honey?" Phestus asked, "Won’t you wait for more lions to get stronger before beginning the next invasion?"
N’bayé shook her head, "No need for that, Horror Heaven barely has any enemy worth worrying about besides its Primordial.
Even if it does, most participating in this invasion will be Immortals.
And, I don’t excuse the taking of True Honey for not participating. They must prove their Lionhoods..." N’bayé said.
"War forges kings and separates the weak from the strong," Diane added. To this, N’bayé and Phestus actually agreed.
"Very well then," Phestus said, then waved his head.
"Here, a hundred Heavenly Beacons all linked to Horror Heaven," He said. During their conversation, he had already linked all of them and separated them from the rest of the hoard which will be used for other heavenly realms very soon.
N’bayé waved her hand and activated a portal gate to her personal magic-powered pocket space.
All the designated heavenly beacons were sucked into her pocket space.
"Mother!" At this moment, a loud shout came from below.
The three of them looked down, acting as though they had not sensed the presence of this person a long time ago.
The young humanoid man flew up to their level. He had a head full of curly hair and a wheat coloured skin tone, similar to Ozia’s.
His build was lean but he was quite tall too, his eyes flashed with blue magic light as he looked at Diane, Phestus, and his mother.
This was Quion, the second son of N’bayé and a Magus Lion. Now, he is all grown up.
"Quion, well done," N’bayé said with a nod and a faint smile, which surprised Diane a little.
Did N’bayé just smile at her child?
Diane shook her head inwardly with an expression of pity toward both Ozia and Quion.
Quion bowed his head slightly, he was respectful, "Greetings everyone, mother, I wanted to discuss something with you."
"Oh," N’bayé nodded, then switched to telepathy. She and Diane were already done here so they left with Quion.
While N’bayé, Diane, and Quion were flying toward their arkship...
"Do you know anything about the Law of Souls?" Quion asked his mother.
