That was the last word Bell had told the receptionist before he left, he needed to find sir Frederick and give him the envelope and since he didn’t know exactly where the wild cat guild is, it was better he walked alone.

"This isn’t a guild house." Leai, the receptionist had informed him after he had asked her why he has to go to another guild just to get an adventurer card. "Since commoners aren’t allowed in the capital city, this place was built to give chances to commoners who choose to become adventurers. At first, we didn’t get much attention but later sir Frederick decided to help us make this place a proper guild. But for that to happen, we need at least one hundred members, so for the meantime food and drink and our main source of income"

After then, he had ordered for a meal but he doubt that Ryu will be awake before he got back.

Bell manage to find his way to the wild cat guild by asking for directions, as usual the gate was opened. The guild house was not as impressive as the golden dragon’s but it was beautiful.

The path right from the gate to the main building was made with limestone, it also went to the building next to it. Beside the limestone flooring was rows of roses, giving it a more elegant look. It wasn’t as crowded as the golden dragon’s guild house but there were still some adventurers around, same as the bar, no one actually paid any attention to him.

The main guild house was a four storey building painted with white is splash of gold. Bell didn’t even have enough time to marvel at the beauty of the place before he collided into someone and falling to the ground.

"Ouch~" he heard a familiar voice as he tried to stand on his feet. "Hey, watch where you’re going!"

"I... I’m sorry" He apologized before standing up and helping the lady with the scattered book the had fallen from her hand when they crashed into each other. "Let me help you with that"

"No, you don’t need to..."

Ignoring her refusal, Bell reached out to the book that was in front her. At the same time, the lady had also reached for the book and she held his hand by mistake.

"..." She flinched then looked up at him, Bell also raised his head to look at her face.

"Daria?!"

"Hero!" Daria said with a smile and jumped up.

"I told you not to call me that"

"What are you doing here?" Daria moved closer to Bell, her emerald eyes glimmering as she scanned him. "Something is missing"

"Huh?" Bell took a step back. "What do you mean by that?"

"Oh!, I got it!!" Daria yelled like a child who just figured out a puzzle. "Ryu isn’t here. Where is she?"

"Left her back at the inn"

Daria bent down and gather the book as Bell helps her. She was slightly different than when he first met her, he tried to figure out what was different but couldn’t actually point it out.

"So what do you think of my dress" Daria asked as she stood up and forcefully gave the books to Bell, before spinning around.

The dress was a black gothic style princess grown with red flower laces around the waist and edges. She was accessorized with a shimmering blue gem fixed on a necklace and a matching earrings. It really looks beautiful but Bell decided not to say anything.

"I don’t have the time to chat, I’m looking for someone" Bell replied, changing the subject entirely.

"You want to be an adventurer, right?" Daria paused for a while before speaking. "I’m guessing you’re looking for sir Frederick"

"How do you know that?"

"I’m a knight, of course I’m suppose to know that much. As a matter of fact, I met him just a few minutes ago, seem to be busy with the adventurer exam"

"Where can I meet him?"

"Just forget about it, I’ll handle it" Daria said waving her hand. "Beside, I have something more important to show you"

Before Bell could react, Daria had already grabbed his arm and pulled him towards the gate.

"This is my favourite place" Daria said as she sipped her hot cocoa and accompanied it with a piece of cupcake. "The pastries here are the best!"

Bell took a sip but didn’t eat the cake, he still wasn’t sure why Daria had brought him all the way out here. He had been getting terrifying looks from anyone that they walked past and even inside the bakery, the customer didn’t look happy seeing him with her.

_is she really that important?_

"Why did you bring me here?" Bell asked as he put down the teacup.

Daria sighed and did the same. "There’s really no joking with you, huh?" She didn’t need to wait for a reply before continuing. "As I said before, I want to show you something..."

"Which is?"

"I’m getting to it!" Daria yelled and immediately composed herself as she noticed the attention she was drawing to them. "I think I found a cure to your sister’s condition"

"Really?!" Bell yelled as he sat up straight and now it was his turn to compose himself. "Are you sure?" Bell whispered.

"As I said before, I think I found a cure to your sister’s blindness" Daria said again, emphasizing on the ’think’. "I’m not really sure"

"I don’t understand"

"Well" Daria said as she opened one of the books she had with her at the guild and opened it for Bell to read.

Bell took a few glance at the page, there was a picture of a flower... More like a drawing. It looked a flower he had seen in his past life, a Lily.

_why can I remember that and I can’t even remember my name?_

Even though he was sure he was reincarnated in this world, he couldn’t remember anything from his previous life, not his name, his family members, or even where he came from.
