"The moonlight lily has a special ability of cancelling any optic magic, it’s said to grow around level fifty of the Eilwood dungeon. I haven’t really seen it myself but it is said, it’s has white petals and an abyssal blue stem and grows around a lake there, under the full moon" Daria explained even though Bell was already reading of the same book she had gotten the knowledge.

"So, where is this Eilwood dungeon?" 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

Daria sighed as she stood up.

"It’s better I don’t tell you. I’ll suggest you prepare for your exam first and then we can talk." She picked the books from the table and walked halfway to the door then stopped. "Don’t forget to buy some supplies, you’ll need it"

And with that, Daria left the store. Bell took his time to finish the pastries and cocoa before leaving, after all Daria did pay for them.

Ryu woke up few minutes after Bell had left the inn. She sat up on the bed, expecting her big brother to help her get out of bed but he didn’t come.

"Big brother" Ryu’s voice was barely louder than a whisper, she waited for a while before calling out again, this time a little louder. "Big brother"

But still there was no answer. She touched around the bed, her hands slowly towards the edge of the bed. As soon as she felt the edge of the bed, she was sure Bell wasn’t in the room.

She managed to get out of bed, and crawled on the ground, trying to look for the door. She had fell asleep yesterday night due to tiredness and the only reason she had woken up earlier than usual was because she was hungry.

Luckily, her hand brushed against their traveling bag, she quickly grabbed it and dipped her hand inside. Sadly, the bread were dried up so she just left it and carefully walked towards the door.

She could hear voices coming from downstairs which meant the bar was opened, if she could get there, she could ask for a meal and her brother will pay when he comes back. With that conclusion, she opened the door and thankfully, it was opened.

Ryu stepped outside, making her through the hallway before stopping at the footsteps of someone walking towards her. Because she didn’t want anyone to notice she was blind, she shifted to the side and bow her head, keeping her eyes shut and hidden.

As the footsteps came closer, Ryu noticed they were two and judging by their voices, they were male adventurers. Her heart started beating against her chest, she felt scared, exactly the same way she felt when the goblin attacked them and the lost woods, back then she was able to hide it because her brother was with her but this time, Bell isn’t here.

The footsteps stopped in front of her, and the adventurers turned their attention to her. The first man was heavily built with his muscles as big as Bell’s whole body, he stood about seven feet tall and was dressed in a lightweight leather chestplate without anything underneath and a black trousers.

"Who’s this chick and what’s is she doing here?" His voice was loud and somewhat disturbing. He placed his arm right next to Ryu and tried to hold her waist.

"I think I saw her with that wimp that came in yesterday" the second man said. Unlike his accomplices, he was shorter and slimer, he was barely taller than Bell and didn’t have any shirt on, but wore a red trousers and a dagger was sheathed in his waist. "But he don’t seem to be around"

"What’s a girl like you doing with wimp like him? That dude looks like he can barely fend for himself, come with me and I’ll make sure you feel good"

Ryu was terrified, she tried to move back but the wall stopped her, then she tried to run but the muscular man held her and covered her mouth before she was able to scream.

"Leave me alone" she manage to speak but didn’t pay attention to her muffling.

"Come on, don’t be like that" the muscular adventurer said, trying to hold her by the waist. "Just come silently with us, I promise I won’t hurt you"

Ryu was more terrified, no matter how she struggled, she couldn’t move. She shut her eyes tightly, silently praying for someone to come to her rescue.

"Hey!, get your filthy hands of her"

Ryu immediately felt relieved as soon as she heard the voice.

"What did you say?" The slim adventurer turned to the direction then took a few steps towards him. "I’ll probably let you go if you just mind your business and walk away"

"Walk away?, That’s my little sister, you think I’m just going to leave her with you?!"

"Well, don’t say I didn’t warn you" Before he could even finish his words, he pulled out a knife and attacked Bell with a thrust aiming straight to his eyes.

Bell manage to avert the attack but it spilt his left ear into half, he quickly countered by grabbing his arm and jabbed the adventurer’s face before slamming his head into the wall, he fell the ground as Bell quickly picked up his dagger and pointed it at the muscular adventurer who was holding Ryu.

"How dare you!" The muscular adventurer stormed the hallway towards Bell but his partner stopped him.

"Stay back, I’m going to take care of him myself!" He stood up shaking his head and almost fell down but held himself against the wall then attacked again.

Bell immediately swung the dagger but the adventurer immediately jumped back to avoid it, he landed about a feet away from Bell with a smile on his face.

"How cute, you don’t know who you’re messing wi...*cough*" He suddenly coughed out blood and fell to his knees. He gripped his chest as he coughed out more blood. "Damn it!!, I forgot"

Almost immediately after he said that, Bell felt a little dizzy and held on to the wall. His left side suddenly felt wet, so he looked at his body and discovered that he was bleeding from his left ear.

"Hey, Walt. Isn’t that the dagger that you enchanted?" The muscular man left Ryu and help his partner up. "That looks pretty deep, we need to heal it before it’s gets worst"

With that, the muscular adventurer helped his teammates away. Walt glared at Bell. "I’m coming for you. You better hide, that if you’re not dead by then"

"Big brother!" Ryu fell on the ground and slowly crawled towards Bell who was slowly losing consciousness. "Big brother, answer me!"

"Ryu, are you... Okay...?" Bell’s vision became more blurry till he passed out.
