Reincarnated With A System Of Different Genre
Chapter 30: Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz
Nearly one month later...
1st of Veloraq (2nd Month)
Nearly a month had passed since the new students of the Imperial Zenith School began their term.
And surprisingly, it had been... normal.
"Pass me the ball!" Caelum shouted as he sprinted forward.
"Nah! I’m scoring this time!" Bonjour yelled back, charging ahead with a ball similar to a basketball clutched in his hands.
"Sénior, it’s on you!" Skyler called out. He was a boy with green hair and matching green eyes.
"Haaa!" Sénior roared, suddenly feeling something rush past him like a gust of wind.
"Damn it! At least look at your teammates!" Skyler complained.
That "gust of wind" turned out to be Paul, who had just been sent flying and crashed spectacularly.
Fortunately, the field was reinforced with defensive magic, so he remained unharmed.
CLASH!
Bonjour and Sénior collided mid-play. Though Bonjour slightly overpowered him, his momentum was disrupted.
"I’ll take the shot from here!" Bonjour declared, hurling the ball toward the goal.
The goal itself was a circular opening embedded in a wall, positioned nearly three meters above the ground and just slightly larger than the ball.
The throw missed!
The ball hit the wall and bounced back.
"Bonjour, your aim is as bad as my missing teeth!" Ryan laughed.
He was slightly short, with grey hair and black eyes, and the son of a retired mercenary wanting to be the future Mercenary King.
"Ah, there he is senior. Ryan, someone’s looking for you!"
The game came to an abrupt halt.
A boy had arrived with a senior and not just any senior.
There was also a teacher present, a man who looked perpetually exhausted, with dark circles under his eyes and loose, disheveled clothing.
"Why is Senior Chad here?" Ryan muttered uneasily.
Chad was the senior in charge of his batch.
"It seems like you’re in trouble," Caelum said with mild amusement.
"Tsk... the game was just getting interesting," Bonjour clicked his tongue. Though he didn’t particularly enjoy human antics, he had to admit, this game wasn’t bad!
"That’s him!" Chad snapped, clearly frustrated.
"I warned him three times to report to your office, but he ignored me every time! At this rate, he’s going to lose another tooth, and my credit points will drop because of him!"
To Chad, now, the so-called "free credits" were hardly worth the trouble of managing unruly brats.
The teacher beside him stepped forward.
He was both a doctor and a skilled healer, known for wielding divine powers.
"Ryan, why don’t you come with me?" said Dr. Heinz Doomshmirtz.
Ryan’s face instantly turned pale.
"NO!"
His reaction was immediate and visceral.
On his very first day, Ryan had accidentally stumbled upon something... unsettling, some questionable activities conducted by this very doctor.
He had no intention of ever stepping into that man’s office again.
"Oh? Is there a story behind how you lost your teeth?" Caelum asked curiously.
"Damn it!" Ryan shouted before suddenly bolting in the opposite direction, trying to escape.
Unfortunately, he didn’t get far.
Dr. Heinz casually waved his hand.
Two golden skulls materialized midair and latched onto Ryan’s arms, biting down as they restrained him.
"WHAA—! NO! GUYS, HELP ME!" Ryan screamed as he was dragged away by Chad and the doctor.
The scene left behind an awkward silence.
"...Should we help him?" Caelum asked quietly.
When he had observed the doctor earlier using his [Heaven Reading Eyes] something about the man had felt... deeply mysterious.
"The All Ball match got interrupted..." Sénior muttered, clearly disappointed.
The game they were playing was called All Ball, a chaotic blend of volleyball, football, and several other Ball sports.
At professional levels, it incorporated magic and various techniques, but since most of them were still unable to properly utilize mana, they were limited to physical play.
That said, Bonjour and Sénior completely disrupted the balance with their overwhelming physiques, forcing the teams to adjust accordingly.
And wherever Caelum played, the opposing team was usually given extra players just to keep things fair.
"Tomorrow is the start of PDD. Do you think he’ll be there?" Skyler asked.
"I don’t think so," Paul replied.
"Will we finally get to fight wild creatures?!" Bonjour said excitedly.
The others sighed.
Ever since losing the food fight to Caelum, Bonjour had been challenging him daily, only to be consistently rejected.
’So... it’s finally time,’ Caelum thought.
School life, overall, wasn’t that bad.
He was part of Foundation Division Class A-1.
There were various divisions and each division had five classes, ranging from A-1 to A-5.1
The week in this world consisted of six days, with each month containing thirty days, divided into five weeks.
Students attended only two subjects per day, leaving ample free time to explore, practice, or pursue their own interests.
The academy itself was incredibly flexible, students could attend lectures of their choosing, even from other sections, provided they submitted a request.
Though chaotic in concept.
It worked surprisingly well.
Most days were spent like ordinary children – studying, playing, and eating. The facilities for all three were top-tier.
’Now that I think about it... why isn’t there some kid secretly plotting world domination? Or someone with future knowledge trying to exploit everything?’ Caelum wondered. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚
’I refuse to believe this fantasy world doesn’t have someone like that.’
Just then, a memory surfaced.
The newspaper he had read before arriving here.
[Cultist Attack on Imperial Zenith School! Duke Morvendrell’s Second Son Shines While Fighting Cultists and Saving His Friends! Is This the Rise of a New Hero?]
Caelum’s expression subtly changed.
’I suddenly have a bad feeling about this...’
He didn’t know why but now he felt that tomorrows Practical Dungeon Diving would certainly not be that easy.
Changes according to divisions like B-1 to B-5 and so on...
