Alright, what’s the most efficient way for me to do this? Azazel, any suggestions?

’Hm...you could use my Exploding Fists power to smash it,’ He suggested in response.

I mean, that sounds effective, but not all that efficient...it’ll take too long, my transformation will probably wear off well before I’m done.

’What about your whip? You could test out the new abilities it gained following our Contract.’

Ooh, tempting...but again, it comes down to efficiency. Is there any way I can destroy this side of the bridge while staying constantly on the move and without slowing down?

’What about Dragon Fire, those blue flames?’

Hm...that’d definitely work, but I’ll have to extinguish the flames before they can spread out too far. With how fiercely blue flames burn, even with a river below, I can’t say with confidence that it’ll extinguish on it’s own-...oh, wait.

I can just use Magic Eater to reabsorb the flames on the way back! Yeah, that’s perfect, I can fly forward at top speed while unleashing my flames onto the bridge, and then absorb the flames back after I reach the end and start heading back.

Yeah, let’s go with that. I’m guessing Izzy is going to move a bit slower to avoid having to wait too long for me to catch back up to her, but I should wrap up my part as quickly as possible, especially since she’s taken the bulk of the work for herself.

’I appreciate your consideration towards her. Heh, well you are her little brother-in-law, after all.’

Come on, man, don’t you start with that. Anyway, let’s get going...

’Well, that took far less time than I thought it would. I must say, your blue flames are really something, they genuinely are on par with reap Dragon’s Fire...this entire side of the bridge has been completely melted down, and the flames are still ablaze, despite falling into the river. You’re going to have fly through a cloud of steam...’

Yeah, the flames aren’t spreading anymore, and are slowly but surely being put out...but at this rate, it’ll evaporate this part of the river before the water fully extinguishes it, and if it spreads up onto the cliff, it’ll set the land ablaze.

Probably shouldn’t let that happen. Time to head back now...Initiate Skill: Magic Eater!

I then spread out my wings and flew back west, while using my Magic Eater to swallow up the blue flames below me, sweat pouring down my face as I flew through the massive steam cloud.

’I wonder, how is it possible that your flames are as powerful as a Dragon King’s? I have never seen another human capable of producing blue flames at all,’ Mused Azazel curiously.

Dunno, I just visualized my flames getting hotter. And in my old world, scientifically speaking, a flame is hottest with a blue hue, so maybe my knowledge of that played a part in me being able to produce blue flames?

’Hm, fascinating. On another note, I must say, this Magic Eater Skill of yours is incredible...this immense influx of Mana upon absorbing Magic is quite pleasant...’

I know, right? This is exactly how I was able to expand my Mana capacity so much more quickly than most other people. Though, I don’t have much more expanding to do, it won’t be much longer now before I max out my capacity...

I let out a bored sigh as I fired out a blast of Negative Energy, destroying another section of the bridge before flying forward again. Maybe we should’ve split up at the halfway mark, after all. This is so boring.

I could rush through it and get it over with quickly, but then I’ll probably end up waiting several minutes for Larrk to catch up. Or maybe I could do that and then kill time by helping Argent and Prysm if they need it?

Honestly, I doubt they do...and besides, in the very likely event that there’s no one strong enough to put up a challenge against me, it’ll just be all the more disappointing for me. I’ll just keep doing things at this pace until I reach the start of the bridge.

I then charged up another swirling Negative Blast, firing it down at the bridge and blowing off another chunk of the structure, flying forward slowly as I unleashed more blasts down.

I think it’s been maybe, like, twenty minutes since Larrk and I split up. Hm, I wonder how much distance I’ve covered so far? Wish I was able to accurately determine that like Larrk can. How does he do that anyway?

"Huh? Izzy? Why are you still so far back?" Suddenly came his voice from behind me, startling me slightly.

"You’re back already? That was so much faster than I thought," I responded in bemusement.

"What are you talking about? I’m only a small bit slower than you are in this partial transformation, didn’t you notice that I was more or less keeping up with you when we flew along the bridge earlier?" He pointed out with a raised eyebrow.

"Huh, now that you mention it...," I trailed off sheepishly, before adding, "By the way, do you know how much further it is to the start of the bridge?"

"Yeah, just about eight kilometers. Which means that you’ve covered less than seven kilometers since we split up," He informed me.

Hm, maybe I should’ve gone a bit faster...

"Well, whatever, this means I don’t have to wait for you to catch up. Should we attack what’s left of the bridge together as we head back?" I inquired in response.

"I’ve got a better idea. You fly ahead at full speed and blast the remaining length of the bridge with your Dragon Fire. I’ll follow a few meters behind and swallow the flames up with my Magic Eater," He suggested objectively.

"Hey, that’s a pretty good idea, let’s do it!"
