Chapter 260: Chapter 260 - Reunited(Part 2)

"Hey, hold still, stop moving your face...come on, this isn’t the first time we’ve been through this, you know the drill," I frowned, as Izzy fidgeted uncomfortably.

"Isn’t it good enough already? Come on, this is taking way too long!" She responded impatiently.

"Wow, you’re pretty good at that, kinda unexpected," Remarked Lumena in fascination, peering over my shoulder as I applied makeup on Izzy’s face to hide her red skin.

We were in the forest to the east of Cusch Town, about half a kilometer or so from the entrance to the town.

As we flew over here and the town came into sight, it hit me that we can’t just walk right in, we’d almost definitely be attacked, considering the fact that one of us is literally a Monster.

There’s likely to be a handful of Knights in town as well, so I put on a wig, wore colored contacts to hide my eye colors, and covered up my scars with makeup. Don’t want to get recognized, after all, since I am a wanted criminal.

I then got to work on disguising Izzy, I had her change into a long-sleeved shirt and trousers to hide as much of her skin as possible, so that there’d be less skin that needed to be covered up with makeup.

I got done painting over her hands with the makeup, whole Lumena tied her hair up in a way that hid her horns, tying buns over the horns. I was currently working on her face, about halfway done now...

"Aren’t you done yet?"

"No, I’ve still got most of the left side of your face to cover. We can’t go into town when only half your face is covered, you know. Here, put this eyepatch on after I’m done with the makeup, you’re gonna wanna cover the energy flowing out of your right eye," I pointed out, picking up the pace a bit.

"Grr, this is taking way too long, damn it..."

"It’s barely been fifteen minutes since we landed, it’s actually impressive how quickly you applied the makeup, Larrk. And despite that, it looks pretty convincing, there aren’t any noticeable smudges or uneven spots. Yeah, this should definitely work, most people wouldn’t be able to tell that this isn’t her real skin tone, at least not unless they take a really close, long look at her," Said Lumena, looking impressed.

Well, I have had some practice with applying makeup over the years.

"Whatever, just hurry it up! I can’t wait much longer!" Snapped Izzy restlessly.

"I’m going as fast as I can, so just chill and let me finish this..."

Point-of-View: Argent Stryker

"Oh, Larrk and Izzy aren’t here yet? I thought they’d have got here by now, considering how fast they are," Remarked Prysm in surprise, as she entered the room along with the others.

"No, they haven’t arrived yet. Dad, let me introduce you, these are my friends. Well, you already know Gior, so no need for introductions there. As for the others...Prysm Duralles, Rosary Farndrey and Ilex Sarralot. Everyone, this is my father, Rhyle Stryker," I introduced as they walked in and shut the door behind them.

"Hey. It’s been a while," Gior nodded curtly at dad.

"Yes, it has...you seem to be about the same height you were when we last met, I see," Replied dad wryly.

"Mhm, he hasn’t a grown so much as a millimeter since he was, like, fourteen!" Grinned Phyurio as he let out an amused laugh, before adding as Gior scowled quietly, "I’m gonna go back up to the lobby, shouldn’t be long before Larrk and Izzy show up, I’ll bring them down here once they arrive."

"Um, hi...it’s nice to meet you, Mr Stryker," Chimed in Prysm politely.

"Yes, likewise...Argent has been telling me about all of you, and I’d like to thank you for being such good friends to my boys," Dad bowed his head to them gratefully.

"Well, they’ve been good to us, so it’s only natural," Spoke up Rosary with a smile.

"Y-yeah, what she said," Added Ilex awkwardly.

"I’m glad...I’m so glad that my sons have surrounded themselves with good people, it’s such a rare thing that most would take for granted," Smiled dad in response.

"Come on, dad, you’re getting way too emotional, cut it out," I muttered awkwardly, averting my gaze slightly.

"So, what’s your plan now that you’re conscious? As much as the Knight Order has improved from the nightmare it used to be, I doubt they’ll ignore it if they realize that one of their Royal Princes is out and about, especially since one just died after triggering a civil war," Chimed in Gior objectively.

"I see some things never change, you always did have a habit of putting a damper on things, didn’t you?" Sighed dad wistfully.

"Hm, for starters, maybe put on some hair dye and colored contact lenses? Larrk has plenty of those to spare in his Pocket Dimension," I pointed out.

"Yeah, his disguises have worked pretty well for us in the past, so that’s a good idea," Nodded Prysm in agreement.

"Hm, m-maybe that’s why he’s taking so long t-to get here. He’s p-probably putting makeup on Izzy to hide her skin color," Spoke up Ilex quietly.

Since he’s gotten a lot more comfortable around us lately, I forgot just how socially awkward he is when he meets new people for the first time.

"Ohh, right, that’s probably what it is. That didn’t even occur to me," Mused Rosary thoughtfully.

"Yeah, that’s-...hm? Hey, I hear footsteps approaching from outside, coming this way. Looks like they’re here," Remarked Gior, right as the door of the room opened...
