Chapter 259: Chapter 259 - Reunited(Part 1)

"Now, I don’t mind a bit of celebrating, but, uh...when did you get so foul-mouthed, Larrk?" Came Rhyle’s voice in disapproval.

It really is him...holy shit.

I can’t believe it...I was convinced that he’d never wake up, so this is a really pleasant surprise. Wow...shit, I think I’m getting a bit choked up, this is insane.

"I mean, it’s not like I swear that often-...," I began sheepishly.

"Yeah, no, that’s a bold faced lie," Chimed in Argent wryly.

"Hey, it’s not like you’re any better in that reg-...hm? Oh, my battery’s dead," I sighed, as the audio suddenly cut out.

"Good for you, Larrk. You seem pretty happy, that’s quite the smile on your face," Remarked Lumena, giving me a nudge.

"Thanks...and you sure went quiet towards the end there, huh, Izzy?" I responded in bemusement.

"I mean, it would’ve been rude to force myself into the conversation while you were having an emotional reunion. And also, I felt kinda nervous...what if your dad isn’t cool with the idea of Argent being my boyfriend? I mean, most humans are really scared of Monsters, so...," She frowned worriedly.

"Oh, I wouldn’t worry too much about that. We learnt our values from him, so I think he’ll be pretty open-minded towards that," I replied assuringly.

Well, Argent learnt his values from Rhyle, anyway...and in my case, those values just happened to more or less line up with the beliefs I held in my previous life.

"I really hope so..."

"Alright, then, let’s get going. It’ll probably take a couple of hours or so, at the very least, to get all the way to Cusch Town from here. Wish Prysm were here, her Teleportation Skill would be real useful right now," I sighed wistfully, as I manifested wings from my back.

"Let’s hurry...I wanna see Argent as soon as possible."

"Lumena, get on my back. It’ll be faster this way than if you flew using Wind Magic," I pointed out.

"Is it really okay for me to come with you guys?" She responded hesitantly.

"Yeah, of course! We did say you could, plus you’re our friend now, so we won’t just abandon you," Grinned Izzy, as she patted Lumena’s shoulder, before glancing at me, "Right, Larrk?"

"I mean, I definitely don’t have any objections, if you want to join us, you’re more than welcome to do so."

"Okay, then, I’ll be glad to take you up on the offer," Smiled Lumena gratefully, walking over and hopping onto my back.

"I’m gonna be moving pretty fast, so make sure to hold on tight, okay?" I replied, as I held onto her thighs.

Mm, so soft...

"You’re not just saying that because you want my boobs all pressed up against your back, are you?" She smirked teasingly as she wrapped her legs around my waist and her arms around my shoulders.

"That’s a nice bonus, sure, but I’m not kidding, you might end up flying right off my back if you don’t hold on tight," I informed her wryly.

"Gotta say, I’m pretty intrigued to see how Prysm reacts to this development," Grinned Izzy, spreading out her wings and starting to fly off back towards Obsidian...

Point-of-View: Prysm Duralles

I let out a sneeze, before taking out my handkerchief and wiping my nose. Am I catching a cold or something?

I sighed wearily as I lay down on the grass, behind a row of bushes while staring up at the sky.

I can’t believe Argent just took off like that...I mean, I get it, his father is awake again after being in a coma for nearly five years, I can’t fault him for being eager to see him again.

Still, he didn’t have to leave me all alone out here, he could’ve at least said something before taking off like he did.

Like, what am I supposed to do now?

Am I supposed to wait for him out here? Or maybe I should teleport back to the others? Wish I had my own phone, then I could just-...oh, wait, if I just teleport back to the others, I can use Gior’s phone.

I hopped back onto my feet and activated my Teleportation Skill, teleporting myself back to where the others were, startling them as I appeared between them...

"Wha-...oh, it’s just you, Prysm. Did something happen?" Inquired Rosary, as I sat down with a huff.

"Yeah, Argent kinda left me stranded outside Cusch Town by myself. I figured it’d be a bad idea to follow him since I can’t afford to let anyone find out that I’ve got the Light Attribute," I replied with a sigh.

"Oh, speak of the devil," Remarked Gior, as his phone began ringing and he answered it, "Yeah, hello? I see, I’m happy for you...though Prysm’s a bit salty that you just abandoned her. Yeah, she’s-...what? Oh, that’s great!"

"Well? What’d he say?" I asked him as he hung up.

"For starters, he didn’t seem particularly remorseful about leaving you by yourself," He replied wryly.

"Jerk..."

"On the bright side, though...he finally heard from Larrk, who’s on his way to Cusch Town right now, along with Izzy," He informed me.

"Wait, what?"

"That’s good to hear, I can’t imagine either of them being in any real trouble with how powerful they are, but I was still getting worried," Ilex sighed in relief.

"Where were they all this time, anyway?" Inquired Rosary curiously.

"I don’t know, Argent didn’t say. He did mention that Larrk’s phone battery died though."

"Okay, I’m heading back to Cusch Town!" I declared as I got back onto my feet, before adding as I glanced around at the others, "Who wants to come with me?"
