Chapter 274: Chapter 274 - Hematite(Part 4)

"R-right here, this is it..."

"Cool, now open it," I remarked, giving him a push towards the door.

After I realized that I needed a Royal alive in order to free the Demon they’ve got in their clutches, I retracted my slime and yelled into the room through the crack at the bottom of the door, telling them that I’d spare them if one of them took me to the room where the Demon is.

Since they knew I could just kill them if they refused, thanks to the acid slime I’d almost drowned them with, they complied and opened the door, the King volunteering to take me to the Demon.

He then led me to the entrance to the dungeon, guiding me down through the space until we finally reached the floor where the Demon was being held in.

I do sense some animosity and bloodlust from this guy, which I suppose is understandable. I mean, I am intending on overthrowing him and taking over his nation.

I should keep my guard up, he’s probably going to look for an opportunity to strike when he gets an opening, so I need to avoid giving him such an opening...at least until he gets this door open, anyway. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖

I kept a watchful eye on him as he hesitantly approaching the door, pausing for a moment before reluctantly pressing his palm against it and running Mana into it, a rumble echoing out as the door slowly slid open, revealing a Demon inside at the back of the space.

Looks like a male Demon, he had the same control device strapped around his torso, wrists, ankles and neck that Lucifer did when we freed her.

Hey, Azazel, recognize this guy?

’Yes...yes, I do. That is none other than the Demon Lord himself, Satan.’

Huh. Cool.

He was tall with a muscular build, had dark purple skin and blue eyes with the whites of his eyes black, his eyes dull and blank, without a hint of visible emotion in them.

He had two long, straight pointy horns on his head which his longish, straight black hair fell over and framed his face, black feathered wings on his back, a long black tail with a spear-like tip, and sharp claws.

He also had a thick goatee around his mouth, which extended a few inches at the area below his chin...according to Azazel, Demons can control the length of their hair, just like how they can extend and retract their claws. That explains why this guy’s hair isn’t, like, super long and stuff.

So, this is Izzy’s father, huh? I do see a bit of a resemblance, they have the same eye color, for one thing...well, not that that’s anything significant, since eye color isn’t hereditary in this world.

Alright, let’s free him...

"U-uh, what’re you doing?" Inquired the King, as I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the room with me.

Don’t want him locking me in here, after all.

"Oh, don’t worry about it, I’ll be done here soon. And until I am, you’re sticking with me," I replied, as I approached Satan.

’I’m ready to begin...just place your hand on the control devices one by one, and I should be able to destroy them within five to ten seconds each,’ Azazel informed me.

Alright, got it.

As I closed in on the Demon Lord and raised my hand towards me, starting to touch the control device strapped around his torso...

"Awaken!" Suddenly exclaimed the King, giving me a sudden shove by slamming his shoulder against me.

It wasn’t very effective, I hardly budged against his shove...but I had a bigger problem at hand. The crystals on the control devices strapped to Satan shone alight with an ominous gleam, as the Demon slowly raised his head, his expression remaining blank and emotionless as I met his gaze.

Shit, I didn’t think they’d have voice activation technology here...the control devices on Lucifer were linked to a remote, and Azazel said his case was the same. This is bad...

"Kill this man, that’s an order!" Commanded the King, before his eyes widened in alarm as I swung my fist out towards him, a loud crunch echoing out as the back of my fist slammed against the side of his head and shattered his skull, before a fierce explosion burst out, his head flying off his shoulders and smashing against the wall, blood splattering across it.

I then quickly drove my hand towards Satan, trying to touch the control device...suddenly, right as my fingers got within a couple of inches of the device, an immense force struck the middle of my torso and I found myself flying back as I instinctively turned my torso to slime right in the nick of time, extending my wings out and spreading them sharply to halt myself.

Well, this isn’t good.

Hey, Azazel, mind giving me a quick rundown of his abilities!?

’Er, right...let me think. Okay, besides the abilities that all Demons possess, like Negative Energy, Regeneration, Resistance and-...,’ Began Azazel, before trailing off as Satan shot towards me with immense speed, driving his fist towards my head.

I quickly turned my body across, just narrowly evading his strike, a shockwave erupting forward from his fist as it missed me, shooting out the open doorway and hitting the wall ahead, breaking it apart with a deafening crash.

I swiftly shut my eyes and unleashed a blinding flash of light using Lightning Magic, hurriedly flying out the doorway as I blinded him, getting some altitude as I took in a deep breath and slowly exhaled to compose myself.

Hey, I’m kinda in a tight spot here, tell me what he can do, but be faster about it this time!

’Okay, okay, chill...so, he just used his Magnify Impact ability, which is pretty self-explanatory, he can magnify the impact of his strikes by upto tenfold...I believe what you just dodged was around fivefold. As for his other ability...it’s, uh, it’s what he’s charging up right now,’ Remarked Azazel, before adding as Satan walked out of the room with a swirling mass of purple energy between his hands, ’That’s his Obliteration ability, again, self-explanatory. Also, you might want to, you know, dodge that.’
