Point-of-View: Argent Stryker

I shot forward, swinging my blades across as a fireball came shooting towards me, dissipating it and putting on a burst of speed as I began to close in on my opponent.

He raised his Soul Weapon, which resembled a large butcher knife, and swung it down at me as I closed in.

I crossed my blades above to block his swing, a loud clang echoing out as his blade collided against mine, before I whipped my blades outward to push his weapon back, knocking him off balance and sending him stumbling back.

I then leapt towards him, slashing my left blade up and across at his wrists before he could regain his balance, an agonized cry of pain ringing out as I cut off his hands, before driving my other blade straight towards his neck, plunging it into his throat before I gave it a sharp twist and yanked it out.

The civil war that’s been raging here in Hematite for so long has really done a number on their fighting forces...even the strongest enemies I’ve fought so far were no stronger than the average Gold-ranked Adventurer.

It shouldn’t be long before this town is under our control, and I highly doubt that Larrk, Izzy and Lucifer are particularly struggling...in fact, I think it’s a fairly safe bet to say that they’ve already wrapped things up on their end.

I then spun around as a Hematite Knight came charging towards me, stepping off to the left as he fired out a lightning bolt at me, before I shot towards him and drove one of my blades towards his chest.

He managed to just barely block it with his Soul Weapon, a large sword, before I jabbed at his hand with my other blade, eliciting a hiss of pain from him before swung my first blade straight down at his head, splitting his skull open before he could react.

I stepped back and pulled my sword out of his head as he collapsed onto his knees and fell over, blood pouring out of his head and seeping into the dirt.

This is turning out to be so easy that it actually feels kinda anticlimactic...I mean, is this really it? I’d have thought taking over a nation would be a lot more work...

Point-of-View: Lumena Lucidus

I unleashed a gust of poison smoke from my mouth as a small group of enemy Knights surrounded me, the smoke billowing out and spreading rapidly, loud coughs echoing out around me as they inhaled the poison.

I then sent a wave of earth spikes rising up all around me and barreling towards them, cries of pain ringing out around me as they got skewered by the spikes, the stench of blood permeating the air.

I glanced up as I noticed a disturbance in the poison smoke cloud I’d unleashed, to see one of them up in the air, having leapt up to evade my spikes.

He must’ve unleashed bursts of flames from beneath his feet to shoot himself up into the air that high.

As I took aim and fired a lightning bolt up at him, he quickly formed a chunk of earth to block my attack, before manifesting his Soul Weapon, a trident, as he came plummeting down towards me.

He wrapped flames around the chunk of earth he’d formed and fired the molten projectile down at me, which I sprang back to evade, before swiftly sidestepping as he closed in on me and swung his trident down towards me, dodging it.

His skin was pale, his breathing labored and heavy...the poison is coursing through him, he’ll collapse before much longer. Gotta say, he’s putting up a surprisingly good fight despite being poisoned.

I then sharply turned my body across as he thrust his trident towards my waist, avoiding it and forming a blade of ice, driving it towards his throat.

He arched back as it closed in on him, grimacing as my blade grazed his skin, leaving a shallow cut across his neck.

I then sprang back and flung the ice blade at him, which he managed to block with his trident, the ice shattering before I put the pipe of my Soul Weapon up to my lips and pulled on it, and then unleashed a cloud of explosive smoke towards him.

As the smoke engulfed him, he began to run away before stiffening up and coughing out blood with an agonized wheeze, his body trembling...I then fired out a spark of flames towards the cloud of smoke surrounding him, a fierce explosion erupting out as the flame set the smoke alight, blasting him to pieces as chucks of flesh flew out of the explosion and splatted across the ground. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

I scrunched up my nose as I caught a whiff of the foul stench of burned flesh, blowing out an aromatic cloud of smoke from my mouth to cover the stench.

I then noticed someone watching me from a nearby alley, sensing their bloodlust before swifting dropping down into the shadows and making my way over towards them.

I emerged from behind them as they looked around frantically, before stiffening and starting to turn around as they realized that I was right behind them, before letting out a sharp gasp of pain as I extended out an earth spike from the ground, piercing through their back and bursting out the front of their chest.

I have to say, this is turning out to be pretty damn therapeutic for me. After being a slave who was abused and pushed around by so many people, it feels good to have people at my mercy. Well, except that I don’t really have any mercy in me.

Alright, let’s keep going, I’m really enjoying this!
