Chapter 276: Chapter 276 - Hematite(Part 6)

Point-of-View: Prysm Duralles

———————————————————————————

I swiftly shot away and evaded an incoming lightning bolt before countering with a rapid slashing wave of water, my target leaping out of the way just in the nick of time before I raised my axe up to left as a swirling fireball came shooting towards my side, blocking it with the blade of my Soul Weapon.

"That was Water Magic...I see, she must be from the Light Continent!"

Nope, I’m not.

"Are we being invaded by those foul bastards!?"

No, we beat them to the punch.

"Tch, they must be trying to take advantage of our civil war!"

Mhm, we sure are. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

"We can’t let ourselves be beaten here...we’ve got her outnumbered, and she’s just a little girl, we can do this!"

Wha-...little girl!? Hey, I’m almost seventeen, asshole!

Alright, calm down...there’s four of them surrounding me, but I’m definitely way stronger than they are. I’ve been sparring against Larrk and Izzy so frequently for quite a while now, these people are nothing compared to them.

I then raised my axe up, sharply increasing its weight as I swung it down at the ground, a powerful shockwave bursting out upon impact, the ground breaking apart and shaking violently from the force of my strike, deep cracks spreading out as I knocked my opponents off balance.

I swiftly shot towards them, firing out bursts of wind from my heels to shoot myself forward as I closed in on him, before blasting out a wave of frosty air at him from my mouth as his eyes widened in alarm.

He sprang back as the cold air engulfed him, a shiver erupting across his body as a thin layer of frost formed over his skin, slowing down his movements before I swung my axe down towards the top of his head.

He quickly raised his own Soul Weapon, a metal staff, over his head, a loud clang echoing out as my axe slammed onto the length of the handle of his staff, his legs buckling under the force before he collapsed onto his knees with a stunned look on his face, unable to bear the weight of my axe, which then forced his arms down.

My axe pushed his staff down onto the front of his neck and elicited a strangled gasp of pain from him, before a loud crunch echoed out as the sheer force I was exerting down on his broke his spine, his back getting folded in half as his throat got crushed, blood gushing out of his mouth as a gargling wheeze escaped his lips.

I then swiftly lightened my axe and swung it around as Spells came shooting towards me from either side and towards my back, slashing through and dispersing them before I glanced up as one of my opponents launched himself up into the air with bursts of flames from his feet, plummeting down towards me rapidly with his Soul Weapon, a curved sword, raised.

I sprang back as he closed in on me and swung his blade down at me, before I rapidly extended out a wave of ice spikes rising up towards him from the ground, his eyes widening in alarm.

Wisps of flames flowed out around his feet as he began to try and launch himself away, but he was too slow to react, letting out an excruciating scream of pain as he got skewered through the stomach, my spikes piercing his legs and sides as well, blood pouring out of his injuries and trickling down the ice spikes as he let out a sharp gasp of agony.

I then fired off a blast of water as a large fireball came shooting towards me, an explosion of steam erupting out as the Spells collided against each other and canceled out, before one of the two remaining Knights shot through the steam cloud and unleashed a burst of lightning at me.

I blocked it with my axe, before sharply tilting my body across as he closed in on me and swung his Soul Weapon, a large scythe, up and across at my head, the blade whizzing past the top of my head and severing a couple of strands of hair as I formed a small, spinning disk of ice in my left hand.

As I evaded his slash, I fired the disk up towards him, which hit his neck before he could react and sliced through his skin, cutting into his throat as a gurgling cry of pain escaped his lips, blood spraying out of his neck as he stumbled back, before I raced away as a wave of earth spikes came barreling towards me.

I then used my Wind Magic to fly up as the spikes began to catch up to me, before rapidly swooping down towards the last remaining Knight I was fighting while raising my axe up high above my head, swerving across as he unleashed a barrage of fire and lightning Spells up at me.

He began to spring back as I closed in on him, before I used Distance Casting to fire off a wind blast from right behind him, a startled cry of pain ringing out as it struck his back and kept him within the reach of my axe, which I then rapidly swung down while increasing its weight.

The blade struck the top of his head and cut straight down his body in an instant, splitting him in half before he could even cry out in pain, the two halves of his body falling away to either side and thudding against the ground, blood gushing out and pooling around the halves.

Alright, that takes of that, I wonder how many more of them there are in this town...
