Chapter 337: Chapter 337 - Quarter-Finals(Part 4)

"It’s time for the last match of the quarter-final round, and it promises to be a good one! It’s the Plasma Dragon King Frielektra vs the Demon Lucifer!"

I can’t let father be the only Demon in the semi-final round...but that said, this isn’t a victory that will come easily. Frielektra, father’s former lover and Izzy’s mother...she’s powerful, more so than I am.

But if this competition has been any indication, that doesn’t mean that my defeat is set in stone...Aratron lost to that human Ilex, and I certainly wouldn’t call his victory a fluke. He may well lose if he were to challenge Aratron again, but regardless, he earned that victory.

"This should quite a challenging battle. As Satan’s eldest child, I hope you put up a good fight," She remarked as we stepped onto the arena.

"I’ll try not to disappoint," I replied, as the barrier formed around the arena.

"Let’s kick off the countdown! Ten! Nine! Eight! Seven! Six! Five! Four! THREE! TWO!!! ONE!!! ZEROOOO!!!"

I swiftly teleported behind her and unleashed my Gravity Field, starting to form a Negative Energy blast in my right hand before my eyes widened in alarm as her tail shot up towards my chest.

I quickly stopped charging up my Negative Energy and crossed my arms in front of myself defensively, grimacing as her tail slammed onto my arms with immense force, sending me flying back before I spread out my wings to halt myself.

I then teleported several meters to my left as a rapid bolt of lightning came shooting towards me, before I unleashed my Repel ability, firing off a pushing telekinetic shockwave as a wave of flames came roaring towards me the instant I reappeared, the flames halting and spreading our as it collided with my telekinesis.

She isn’t using her Dragon Fire yet...I need to inflict some damage before she opts to use it, otherwise I won’t stand a chance.

As she then unleashed another bolt of lightning at me, I switched places with her, her eyes widening in surprise as she saw her own lightning bolt shooting towards her, before I fired off a barrage of Negative Energy blasts at her...lightning won’t affect her at all, so I need to launch my own attacks if I want to deal some damage.

She let the lightning bolt hit her, before shooting out several intensely swirling fireballs, canceling out my Negative Energy blasts before I teleported behind her again and unleashed my Repel ability again, sending her stumbling forward as my attack slammed onto her back, before I fired out a slashing wave of Negative Energy at her. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ𝓋𝑒𝑙.𝑐𝘰𝑚

A shallow cut appeared on her back as my attack pierced through her scales, before she spun around and unleashed a blazing wave of flames at me from her mouth.

I quickly teleported in response, grimacing as a few burns got inflicted onto the front of my body, before a massive blast of plasma came barreling towards me as I reappeared.

I flew up as fast as I could, narrowly evading the attack, before I spotted Frielektra flying towards me with immense speed.

As she closed in on me, I switched places with her again, before spinning around using Attract to pull her in towards me as she started to turn around, catching her off-guard before I fired out a piercing beam of Negative Energy at her.

She quickly twisted her body across, my beam grazing the side of her right arm before I stopped using Attract as she closed in on me and set her entire body ablaze, the air around her shimmering violently.

She then began firing off a relentless barrage of flames, lightning and plasma at me, I zipped across the space to evade her attacks, repeatedly teleporting to keep her from locking on to me, while I charged up Negative Energy in my hands.

I gritted my teeth as a fireball grazed the top of my left shoulder as I teleported and reappeared, before I flew across as a rapid bolt of lightning came shooting towards me, just barely avoiding it before teleporting as a slashing wave of plasma closed in on me.

As I reappeared, I swiftly took aim at her as several of her attacks came shooting towards me, before I unleashed a massive, wide blast of Negative Energy, the large beam barreling towards her with immense speed.

She stopped firing her attacks and raised her hands in front of herself as my blast closed in on her, engulfing her and barreling forward, before slamming onto the barrier with a powerful impact, the arena rumbling as waves of ripples burst out across the barrier.

I strained myself to maintain the output of my blast for as long as possible, my arms trembling from the exertion before the beam inevitably began to peter out and fade away.

Damn it, that wasn’t strong enough...

"Quite an impressive attack...had you managed to maintain it for a few seconds longer, I would not have been able to hold it off," She remarked with a pained grimace, her forearms badly damaged, before a flash of fiery blue roared across her body.

She then shot towards me, unleashing a wave of blue flames towards me as I quickly teleported away, before a swirling blue fireball came shooting towards me as I reappeared.

I fired off my Repel ability, pushing the flames back before teleporting again and unleashing a slashing wave of Negative Energy at Frielektra, before she countered with a slashing wave of Dragon Fire, which shot forward and extinguished my Negative Energy slash, barely even slowing down as it shot towards me.

I teleported again, before my eyes widened in alarm as Frielektra appeared right in front of me, reaching out and grabbing my throat before I could react.

"H-how...?" I uttered with a choked gasp.

"Simple, when you teleport, you always reappear in the direction your gaze shifts to. And the more rushed you are, the shorter the distance you teleport across...looks like I win," She remarked with a smile, as I felt a surging heat around my neck from her hand, before I found myself outside the arena, right as a burst of blue flames erupted from her hand.

"And with that, the quarter-finals are over, the fourth semi-finalist is...the Plasma Dragon King Frielektra!"
