Chapter 382: Chapter 382 - Vampire Attack(Part 8)

I zipped across the air as a massive volley of Negative Energy blasts came shooting up towards me, evading them before unleashing a barrage of rapid blood needles from my fingertips towards the two Demons. 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖

They swiftly raced away to evade my attacks, before spreading out their wings and flying up, as an ominous energy flowed out of Aratron’s right hand, taking the shape of jaws before zipping out towards me with immense speed.

I swerved across as I picked up my pace, his jaws of energy chasing after me, but unable to close the gap as I stayed on the move.

If I were only up against one of them, I would fancy my chances, but with how well they’re coordinating and complementing each other, I’m at a disadvantage against them in my current state.

I’ll need to use the Magic Item to turn the tables here, but with them attacking so relentlessly, I can’t slow down for even a second, or their attacks will hit me.

And there’s a possibility that they could end up hitting the Magic Item before I can activate it, so I need an opening before I can use it. They can’t keep this up indefinitely, so-...hm?

The intensity of their attacks has dropped, why-...my eyes widened as I glanced back but only saw Aratron, Pavorphobus was nowhere in sight. Where did she-...!?

Suddenly, I froze and quickly turned my gaze up, just in time to see a massive beam of Negative Energy barreling down towards me with immense force.

It was too fast to evade with my normal flight, and it was already closing in...I then quickly raised my left arm to the side and fired off a pressurized burst of blood from my palm, launching myself away to my right just in time, grimacing as the pillar of Negative Energy engulfed my left forearm and wiped it out, blood violently spraying out of the stump left around my elbow.

As the momentum from the burst of speed of the blood jet I’d unleashed wore off, I came to a brief halt and began to fly forward, before grimacing as my legs suddenly got torn off, as Aratron’s jaws of energy reached me and clamped around my legs, ripping them off.

Blood gushed out before I gritted my teeth and shot forward before the jaws could chomp off any more of my body, before I quickly began to veer away as Pavorphobus came swooping down towards me with immense speed, closing in on me and reaching out before I could get out of the way, her hand clamping around the top of my head...

"Gotcha...now, Mind Break!" She exclaimed with a wild smirk, my entire body tensing up sharply as immense pain erupted in my brain, blood bursting out of my eyes and streaming down my face as I gasped in agony.

She then formed a blade of Negative Energy along her palm and plunged it into the middle of my chest, bursting out my back before she violently dragged the blade down my torso as she let out a sadistic chuckle.

As it tore through my stomach, I gritted my teeth, charging my Senescence ability into my left hand before whipping it across towards her.

She quickly flew back, my fingertips grazing her collarbone and rotting the skin around that spot, blood spurting out and running down her chest before I mustered up my strength and swerved across to my left as fast as I could, letting out a stifled gasp as Aratron’s jaws bit out a chunk of my right side.

My legs finished regenerating as I flew away, my brain recovering from the damage Pavorphobus had inflicted...from what I’ve heard, her mind-related attacks aren’t as effective on fellow Demonic Grade beings, but I’d say that was still pretty damn effective.

I can’t let her get close again, that attack is dangerous...fortunately, she can’t use those abilities without first making direct physical contact with her target.

I swooped down towards the ground as fast as I could as Aratron’s jaws continued chasing after me, finishing regenerating right as I closed in on the ground and landed with a thud, acting as fast as I could to take out the Magic Item and activated it.

I then leapt off to my right as the jaws of energy closed in on me, snapping shut around my left arm and ripping it off, along with the Magic Item...but he was a fraction of a second too late, as the barrier was already forming.

Even without the Magic Item, once the moonlight barrier is cast, it’ll last for half an hour before disappearing on its own. Without the Magic Item, I can’t manually deactivate it if I happen to finish the battle before the barrier reaches its time limit, but that’s fine...I’ve managed to activate it and unleash my full power, I hold the advantage in this battle now.

I then raced away as the jaws came shooting towards me again, but with my speed tripled, it was far too slow to catch up to me.

Pavorphobus flew up and swooped down towards me as she extended out her claws, firing off a beam of Negative Energy at me from her mouth as she closed in.

I swiftly tilted my head across, the beam zipping past my left cheek, before I grabbed her wrist as she drove the claws on her right hand towards my throat, tightening my grip and breaking her wrist with a sharp, violent twist, before flinging her away as she began to try and swing the claws on her other hand at me.

Her shoulder hit the ground before she skidded away several meters, coming to a screeching halt across the dirt before I sprang up as Aratron’s jaws closed in and snapped at my legs, leaping up and over them before I fired off several blood blasts to cancel out an incoming flurry of Negative Energy blasts.

I then fired out a rapid, piercing blood beam at Aratron, who quickly raced across to try and evade it, gasping sharply as it hit his left shoulder and burst through, before his eyes widened in alarm and he quickly crossed his arms in front of himself defensively as I unleashed a swirling blast of blood towards him, which slammed onto his arms and sent him hurtling back through the air, his back colliding against the barrier with a jarring impact.

"It’s no use...the two of you no longer stand a chance against me. I would advise you to surrender, but considering that I’m supposed to kill any Demons or Dragon Kings I encounter, there wouldn’t be any point, you’re dead either way. Still...if you surrender, I’ll be sure to kill you quickly and painlessly. So, what will it be?" I inquired, basking in the dim glow of the moonlight barrier...
