Chapter 384: Chapter 384 - Vampire Attack(Part 10)

"Alright, charge in and wipe out anyone who fights back. Don’t kill everyone though, try to capture any humans with high Mana capacity for our livestock farms, as well as those with average capacities to turn into Vampires," I instructed the horde of Vampires who were following me, as I hovered around the outskirts of a city.

"Understood, Lord Azriel!"

"We shall not fail you!"

"You can count on us to deliver victory in the name of the Elder Vampires!"

They then swarmed into the city in unison, along with the Lessers, before I flew forward as they flooded in, crashes ringing out ad they began their assault.

I entered the bounds of the city and flew over the buildings, staring down as the Vampires and Lessers attacked fiercely.

Hm, interesting...even though they were likely expecting and prepared for this battle, it seems the citizens of this city are putting up a better fight than I would have imagined.

I see a lot of a Demi-Humans...they are typically much stronger than the average human, so it’s only natural that they would fare that much better than humans would.

Still, I wouldn’t have imagined that they’d do this well...the Lesser Vampires are being absolutely slaughtered. At this rate, it’ll only be a matter of time before their numbers advantage is negated.

Tch, I’ve never been particularly fond of the Lessers...while ordinary Vampires are somewhat adequate servants to us Elder Vampires, which makes sense since we create them directly.

But Lessers are just glorified trash...the only positive thing about them is the fact that an unlimited number of them can be created.

Everything else about them is nothing but drawbacks...they’re mindless beasts that can’t think for themselves and they aren’t particularly strong either. They may attack relentlessly, but not especially effectively, their movements are straightforward and easy to read...the fact that we call them Vampires at all disgusts me.

Unfortunately, they are necessary...humans may be weak, inferior creatures, but it is undeniable that their numbers are overwhelming, it would take immense time and effort if we tried to subjugate them just with the seven of us Elder Vampires and no more than the maximum of four hundred Vampires.

Now, then...what should I do? Lord Dracula instructed me to find and eliminate the most powerful beings in the city I attack, but so far, I haven’t seen anyone strong enough to be worthy of fighting me, so-...hm?

I then turned my gaze across to the left as I spotted a flash of pale blue in my peripheral, to see a scorching wave of blue flames shooting towards me.

I swiftly flew up, grimacing as the flames grazed my feet and began to spread, before I quickly extended out my claws and sliced through my ankles, severing my feet before the flames could spread too high.

"Aw, you evaded it, that’s too bad."

"Ah, you must be the spawn of the Demon Lord and the Plasma Dragon King," I remarked, narrowing my eyes at her.

"Yeah, that’s right. And you should really watch your back," She replied with a smirk, right as I felt a couple of deep cuts slicing across my back, letting out a startled gasp of pain before I snapped my gaze back as blood poured out of the gashes.

"I know an injury like this isn’t enough to really affect a being like you...but that’s fine, because you still feel pain, don’t you?" The assailant greeted me with a cold smile.

What the hell...? A human? How did I not sense him!?

"D-damn you...!" I snapped furiously, as I reached out to grab his throat...but my hand phased right through him, before he flew back with jets of flames from the soles of his feet.

"Sorry, but that isn’t going to work," He taunted me.

"I refuse to accept this...a lowly human managed to damage me!? I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS!!!" I roared in a seething rage, before unleashing a massive barrage of blood blasts towards him, but my attacks phased right through his body.

I see, he can turn himself intangible...that’s why I could not detect him, he was physically immaterial right up until he slashed me.

He then shot towards me, putting on a burst of speed by intensifying the flame jets from his feet, flying through my blood blasts and closing in on me.

I whipped my claws at his head, but once again, my attack phased through him, before continued zipping forward and passed right through me.

As he shot past me, I gasped as a couple of sharp pains burst out through my chest, as he materialized his blades inside my body.

I coughed out blood before my eyes widened in alarm as a massive, swirling blue fireball came barreling down towards me as the human quickly flew away.

I zipped across the air as fast as I could, narrowly avoiding a direct hit before grimacing as the massive fireball engulfed my right arm, setting it ablaze.

I quickly whipped the claws on my left hand at my right shoulder, severing my arm before the flames could spread...damn it, Dragon Fire is dangerous, it burns and spreads faster than I can regenerate.

If she lands a direct hit on me with a large scale Dragon Fire attack, it won’t be easy to survive the ensuing damage.

I got some distance away as my arm regenerated, while she swallowed up the flames she’d unleashed that had begun to spread across the ground below.

"Just to confirm, you are an Elder Vampire, aren’t you?" Called out the human male, hovering in the air ahead of me.

Tch, I’ll admit that his ability to turn his body intangible is powerful, but even so, for a human to stand up to me so cockily is infuriating. I’ve encountered humans with the Intangibility Skill before, but none of them had mastered it anywhere close to the level that this one has...

"Yeah, I was wondering the same thing, you don’t seem all that strong," Chimed in the half-breed.

"I wouldn’t get too cocky, you inferior creatures...I have yet to unleash my full power, not to mention, I haven’t used my Unique Ability yet. I’ll wipe those looks of your faces momentarily," I stated with a growl, as I cracked my neck with a tilt of my head...
