She slapped at him without a second thought, but he caught her wrist with ease, pinning her hand against the wall as well.

Annabelle Linton struggled to turn her head away, but he seized her chin. There was no escaping his iron grip.

Leona Grant’s kiss was domineering, giving her no quarter to retreat or struggle.

Blood from his chest wound stained both their clothes. Leona Grant was running on fumes, but he paid it no mind.

He released her, watching her gasp for breath as he demanded, "Tell me. Are you still going to leave me?"

"Get the hell away... Mmph!"

He kissed her again.

Leona Grant saw her exquisite face fill his vision. The kiss was bruising, their bodies pressed impossibly close. Her thick, curled lashes brushed against his cheek, sending a tingle straight to his heart.

’Just like this,’ he thought. ’I never want to let her go!’

Leona Grant himself had never realized his feelings for her ran so deep.

After a moment, he released her again, his voice punitive as he asked for the second time, "Tell me. Do you want to cut all ties with me? Do you want to divorce me? Do you want to abandon me?"

"Fuck off!" Annabelle Linton trembled with rage. "I told you not to touch me! We have nothing to do with each other anymore!"

Leona Grant sneered. ’Still refusing to yield, are we? Fine.’

He swooped in for a third kiss.

A dangerous glint flashed in Annabelle’s eyes as she viciously kneed him.

As if anticipating the move, Leona Grant reached down to grab her leg.

Annabelle’s eyes turned cruel. The next instant, she viciously pressed her hand against his wound.

"Ngh!"

The color instantly drained from Leona Grant’s face, and his vision swam with black spots from the pain. But he refused to let go, so Annabelle pressed down even harder.

One kissed desperately; the other relentlessly applied pressure to the wound.

Finally, Leona Grant could take no more. The next second, he passed out from the pain.

His tall frame collapsed. Annabelle Linton gazed down at him coldly, then pulled a wet wipe from her purse and began to clean her slender fingers, one by one. A sneer touched her lips.

She dialed 911 without even a glance in his direction, then turned and strode away indifferently.

Leona Grant suppressed the wild joy in his heart and asked coldly, "Where’s Annabelle Linton?"

"In the room next..." Chase’s eyes widened mid-sentence as if he’d just remembered something. He quickly corrected himself, "I don’t know. I haven’t seen her."

One look at his assistant’s face and Leona Grant knew he was lying. He got out of bed and headed for the door.

Chase moved quickly to block him. "Sir, the doctor said your wound has torn open. You must stay in bed and rest. You can’t be moving around."

"Get out of my way!"

"Sir..."

"Get out!"

Under Leona Grant’s icy glare, Chase didn’t dare say another word and quietly stepped aside.
