Chapter 1046: Ch 1046: Tour of Otrefiona (3)

The Celestial Chaos Spider had a body that looked to be made from starlight. Even though it was suppose to be a spider which many found to be disgusting but this spider did not look disgusting at all and instead looked a bit beautiful even.

As soon as the ladies appered in the boss chamber, this beast that was just lying down and resting, suddenly became hyper active. It’s star like body started to glow even more and it gave off a terrifying aura.

Feeling this intimidating aura, all the ladies except for Agmi felt a huge amount of pressure. Their buffed stats suffered some debuffs and a seed of fear was planted in the heart of all the effected ladies.

This was the effect of level suppression. This was a fundamental thing that even the boosted stats could not solve. Only some kind of special abilities and extremely powerful willpower could get rid of this. Help from a real 8000 plus powerhouse was also an option.

Among the ladies, Azusa had not been buffed at all as she wanted to check out her true strength against this mighty opponent. And she was also the first one who actually manage to break out of this level suppression.

And she did so by using only her willpower and nothing else. Even though she had a skill that could break effects like this, this time, she only relied on her poweful willpower. This was her show of determination.

For the other ladies, the buff that was used on them removed the pressure after some time. The ladies had managed to barely get the stats of a level 8000 plus powerhouse. So them suffering from debuffs would be an extremely bad news. So Elena had made sure to prepare counter measures for situations like this.

This release of aura was not even the first move of this battle. Someone incapable of withstanding this should just give up and return back. As for what the first move was, it was made by actually the spider again and not the ladies.

It was a hyper aggresive beast and as soon as it went into battle mode, it went all out. A grey mist was released from its body that very quickly spread and covered the whole boss room.

Everyone immediately used barrier to prevent the mist for touching them. All the ladies knew the ways to create a simple barriers, including Venessa.

The mist immediately started to corrode the barrier but fortunately, the rate of corrosion was not that great. So this first move made by the spider turned out to not be very effective.

Now it was the ladies turn to attack back. Azusa mixed two kinds of white and black energy and shoot a grey coloured spear made of energy toward the spider. Rosalie summoned all her summons and even the one gifted to get by Elena. They were not effected by the buffs but still, they would at least be able to act as distractions.

The maids working for Azusa actually had made an attacking formation which made all the ladies to combine their strength. This was actually a very complex formation and these maids were actually amazing for pulling it off so seamlessly. The cooperation between all of them was truly top tier.

Venessa tried out a move that the Otrefiona Emperor had taught her. This was simple long distance punch that was launched with pin point accuracy. This was actually not a very strong attack but with her limited experience, this was the best that she was able to do without getting close to the spider.

And finally, the main hope for the ladies to win this battle also made her move. And she did not disappoint. Agmi created a serpent like being made of energy and that went to both attack and restrict the spider at the same time.

The ladies had done their best but the effect was not so good. Azusa’s spear did manage to overcome the defense of the powerful spider and hurt it. But the amount of damage that this focused attack did was not very high.

As for all the summons belonging to Rosalie, as soon as they got closer to the spider, they all were destroyed by super thin invisible strings which had suddenly came out of the spider’s body.

Only the summon given to her by Elena was able to survive this attack but even he was not able to get any closer to the spider. If he tried to get even closer, even he would not be able to continue dodging.

As for Venessa’s pin point fist, it disappeared out of nowhere after getting closer to spider. It was the effect of some kind of passive defensive measure that Venessa had failed to overcome.

The combined attack of the maids also manages to reach the spider boss but the amount of damage it did was basically equivalent to a scratch. Way worse than the damage that Azusa had managed to inflict.

Even with this many failures, all the ladies still had trust that at least Agmi was going to do some good damage. Even if her damage was not good, her serpent should at least be able to restrict the monster spider.

But unfortunately, this trust was betrayed. Even though this spider did not have a very intelligent mind, it had a very good battle insticts. So from the very beginning, it had disregarded all the other useless attacks and had focused on only Agmi as she was definitely the strongest here.

So as soon as the energy snake came close to it, the spider started to battle it physically. And just as the serpent was about to wrap itself arround the spider, it had used spatial shift to get out and bite the snake with its spider fangs that was filled with a special poison. The serpent had failed to withstand the poison and had immediately immediately died and disappeared.

After the massive failure of the first attack, the battle became a bit monotonous for the viewers but it was still extremely dangerous and exciting for the people who were participating in this.

The spider continued to launch some kind of star shots and poison as it’s attacks while the ladies dodged and tried out everything in their arsenal to deal any kind of damage to the spider. They were definitely planning to slowly grinde the spider to death.

As the ladies had managed to dodge all the attacks so far, it looked like everything was still going well for them. Rosalie with her magic and her Elena given summon had also started to actually deal some damage to the spider. The maids were also doing much better than before.

But just as everyone was feeling a bit relaxed, something changed. The corrosion rate of the barriers by the silver mist suddenly increased almost by a hundredfold.

So before the ladies could notice and take counter measures, some of their barriers were completely broken and the poison like silver mist came in contact with their bodies.

At this exact moment, the spider also changed its attacking pattern. For the first time, it actually moved even though it had been still all this time except for when it was facing the snake. And it was actually very fast. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Immediately, its poisonous teeth bit into the body of Rosalie. While Venessa was unable to withstand the mist poison and was on the verge of death. Not just that but one of the maids had also been pierced by one of the legs of the spider.

So the battle situation had suddenly changed in a blink of an eye.
