With all the people present inside the barrier looking at her curiously, Azusa smiled a bit embarrassedly and started speaking.

"I first need to see miss Chi Chu in person before becoming one hundred percent certain, but I think that her condition is something that is related to our Otrefiona Empire."

Hearing this Lance tilted his head in confusion. The Otrefiona Empire was located extremely far away from this world even though it was one of the closest worlds from here. And neither him nor his wife had any contact with someone from the Otrefiona Empire.

With that being the case, after thinking logically, Lance could only come to one single conclusion. The disease that his wife had was not something uncommon in the Otrefiona Empire. If that was actually the case, it was a good news for him.

If this was common disease, then something as powerful as the Otrefiona Empire would definitely have a solution to this curse. In that case, no matter what the price was, Lance was willing to pay it in order save his wife’s life.

With this hope in his heart, Lance asked Azusa about his speculations. But she shook her head and rejected it. But before Lance could get sad again with this rejection, Azusa took a deep breath and started of explain the whole situation.

"It is a little embarrassing for me to say as this matter is a little disgraceful for us, the royal family."

As soon as Lance heard this, he immediately fell down from his chair in fear. If what Azusa was saying was not a joke, that meant, she was at least related to one of the strongest family of this whole universe.

So how could a very regular person like Lance stay calm after learning this ? If he was able to do something like that, he would not be a regular person anymore.

So Elena and Azusa took some time to explain Azusa’s true identity to Lance and also to make him to calm down. Only after that Azusa started her explanation again.

"So about 2 thousand years ago, one of my younger sister mistakenly took out a cursed item from the royal treasury. And as soon as that item was out, it had disappeared through space and time. With her very limited strength of that time, my sister was unable to do anything to stop this cursed item from leaving.

Obviously my sister was heavily punished for doing something this stupid. But the damage was already done. Father could have retrieved the item back forcefully but because of how this item in question worked, doing so will heavily damage it at the best case scenario and in the worst case scenario, the item can be completely destroyed.

For that reason, father was unwilling to use force. Another reason behind this decision was the fact that even though this cursed item was troublesome, it was actually not dangerous to anyone’s life."

After hearing this much, everyone present here immediately understood what Azusa wanted to say. The current condition of Lance’s wife Chi Chu was definitely related to item.

Lance was feeling very tensed during the whole revelation but when he heard that this cursed item was actually not a danger to anyone’s life, he relaxed a little bit. He did not say anything to Azusa and continued listening to what she was saying.

"The item in question is a seed. This seed could give birth to a cursed tree. But what kind of cursed tree it would become depended on the people from whom it had absorbed the life force needed for its transformation.

The host of this seed was chosen at random. There was no pattern to it at all. The person who had been infected by this seed would quickly lose their life force, would start to wither away and then finally die."

After hearing this much, Lance could not help but stood up from his chair in tension. How could he not ? He was told just some time ago that the cursed item was not going or take any life. But now he was hearing that his wife was going to die because of this.

Azusa gently patted his shoulder and told him to calm down and let her finish. Then Azusa continued.

"But when father had gotten his hands on the seed, he had made our court mages to cast a special spell on this seed. This spell will make sure that anyone who died because of the draining of this seed, that person will immediately be resurrected in the Royal Castle of the Otrefiona Empire.

This resurrection will work on even a completely powerless person of a low grade world. And this resurrection does not have any hidden side effects at all. Instead it will even give the effected person a little boost to the Strength stat as a little bonus."

Now Lance was able to relax a little bit. Even though resurrection was a foreign concept to the inhabitants of this world, Lance knew about a few worlds where resurrection was very common. So he did not found this awesome feat to be impossible.

But his feeling regarding this matter was very mixed. The fact that his wife needed to die no matter what was a bit unsettling. Still knowing that she would at least come back to life was a happy thing for him.

But now he was worried if he would he able to meet his wife again in this lifetime or not. The capital of the Otrefiona Empire was a vast distance away and Lance definitely did not have the capability to go there.

But Azusa reassured him that it was not a problem. The Otrefiona Empire took the full responsibility to send the effected person back to their own world and to their loved ones very quickly. So just after two or three days, Lance’s wife should also be back to him even if she had died.

After telling him this much, Azusa reminded Lance that she was still not sure if Chi Chu was truly effected by the cursed seed or not. So she needed to see her first before being one hundred percent certain.

Hearing this, Lance immediately stood up from the chair and requested the ladies to follow him. He was going to immediately take them to the medical facility where his wife currently was.
