Chapter 971: Ch 971: Commotion in the Medical Facility

The medical facility was not located too far away from the canteen. Lance and the ladies needed just a few minutes to reach it.

But as they got closer, they saw that some kind of commotion was happening in there. A lot of people were shouting loudly which was definitely very unusual for a prestigious place like the Starseer Tower.

As Lance and the Ladies became curious about this commotion and got closer to see what was the reason for all this shouting, suddenly Lance noticed something and immediately lost his mind.

He quickly went toward a man who was holding some kind of large capsule and punched the man in the face. Even though Lance did not really look like someone who could fight at all, as a cyborg whose mechanical part was actually both of his arms, his punch packed quite a bit of force.

So the man who was punched got blown away and the capsule that he was holding was about to fall to the ground. But Lance quickly caught it in his hands and held it very gently and carefully.

The commotion suddenly settle down after Lance’s sudden intervention. But then it boiled over with even more intensity.

One of the arguing man who had a large structure took out some kind of electrical gun and shot it toward Lance without any warning. At the same time, he also started to go toward him in order to retrieve the capsule that was in Lance’s hands.

The gun that the man had used was a special model that was developed by the tower very recently and was not disclosed to the public yet. This gun was truly extremely powerful.

That was why the man almost lost his mind when the electric beam failed to reach Lance and was blocked by some kind of barrier.

All the scientists working for the tower had a portable barrier generating device for their self protection. But this beam of his was suppose to have the capability of bypass those kinds of barrier quite easily.

But it had definitely failed to do so. And the reason for that was simple. This barrier was created not by a gadget that was with Lance but by Rosalie. There was no way a simple gun could break a barrier that was created by a level 7000 plus powerhouse, no matter how modern or high tech it was.

But obviously as the men here had no idea about the level of the people who were currently with Lance, several men again tried to attack him with a clear intent to harm him. And even though the ladies had no idea what why all these things were happening, they were still on Lance’s side regarding this matter.

But with attacks of this level, there was no need for any of the insanely strong ladies to make a move. Rosalie alone was more than strong enough to handle all of them.

Rosalie immediately cast a spell and plant vines with flower appeared out of nowhere to bind the men who were attacking. These vines may look like they were easy to tear and were flammable but that was not the case.

It was something that was created by a mage whose level was above 7000. Even a single rock created by her magical power was not something that could be easily destroyed by a person of lower level.

So when the vines captured all the attacking people, they were unable to move at all no matter how hard they tried. It was as if they were not captured by simple vines but they had been trapped by solid concrete.

Now that the perpetrators of this commotion had all been neutralized, the people present in the scene finally managed to calm down. Only then the ladies were able of know what exactly was happening here.

After learning the truth, the reason for Lance’s anger and his sudden outburst became very clear. The capsule that he was still holding in his hand was the exact one where his currently unconscious wife was being kept.

As for why the men were trying to take the capsule away, it was simply for research. The same research that Lance had managed to stop by using all his authorities as a senior researcher of this prestigious Starseer Tower.

But it looked like some of the high ranking people were not happy with this. So even though they were not able of get their hands on the body of this valuable research subject through legitimate means, they did not mind resorting to illegal and risky methods like robbery and such. And that was exactly what was happening here.

But fortunately, Rosalie and the other ladies were here. Without them intervening, there was no way Lance alone and the weaponless common people working in the medical facility would have been able to stop these armed robbers from looting whatever they wanted.

So both Lance and the manager of the medical facility thanked the ladies. Venessa and Tessa felt quite embarrassed by all this. They had done absolutely nothing and were just riding the coat tails of their super powerful companions.

As for what happened to the people who were captured, the security of the tower came and apprehended them. But from their behaviour, it was very clear that the security was not planning to press any charges on these men even though they had tried to commit murder in broad daylight.

These man wanted to dissect the barely living body of Chi Chu in order to try and find anything that they could about his curse or disease or whatever it actually was. So it was definitely an attempt of murder without any doubt.

But the person in charge of the security had no problem with that. Instead what he had problem with Rosalie’s unauthorised use of magic inside the tower.

He wanted to use that pretext to arrest Rosalie and the other ladies with neferious and lustful purposes. He wanted for all the ladies to at least pay a large sum as fine if arresting them was not possible.

This was truly making some of the ladies too irritated but fortunately this security officer was a coward and immediately backed down when Tessa showed him who was supporting the ladies in visiting the tower, the nation itself.

After all the problems were settled, finally Elena and the gang managed to take a look at Chi Chu. She was currently unconscious and there was a deep violet coloured symbol of an upside down tree in the middle of her forehead. It looked quite ominous.

After seeing this mark and comparing it with what she had seen before, Azusa finally became certain that it the cursed seed that was the problem here. She immediately told everyone the result.

So now what she, Lance and the other ladies were going to do next ?
