Chapter 1222: Chapter 477: Mountain and Sea S level Dragon Card_2

He thought of asking Creaky Bones for some insight or perhaps consulting with the Cunning God.

The cards mentioned above were the more potentially powerful A-level cards in Ree Shil’s original dragon card deck.

Cards like the Bell Dragon and the Crystal Dragon Queen do have S-level versions.

The S-level version of the Bell Dragon is the Elf Dragon God.

It basically doesn’t retain the original mechanism but becomes a more direct Wind-chasing healing card, carrying the skill to [Resurrect] dragon cards.

The S-level version of the Crystal Dragon Queen is the Spirit Calling Dragon.

Similarly, the original mechanism was removed, transforming from a Determination card that primarily focused on survival and secondary summoning, to a purely summoning-focused Berserker card.

From the significant changes to the card faces, one can tell that these two cards need to go through many steps before they can become S-level.

Because there are too many steps involved, Ree Shil even gave up looking at them closely.

He skipped those step-by-step processes and went straight to looking at the card effects.

These old cards didn’t have a chance, but the new cards he acquired not long ago were quite eye-catching.

They were among the A-level dragon cards with significant potential.

Take, for example, the Giant card that, like the Spirit Master, takes up only 1 card position with its single-foot stance.

Crippling Dragon

Determination, 50 Points, S

Attack 0, 400/400, 0/4

[Massive Size-Passive]: The Crippling Dragon occupies 1 row and 3 card positions, health points upper limit +300→400.

[Tough Cow Tendons-Passive]: The Crippling Dragon gains the effect of Domineering Body.

[Standing on One Foot-Passive]: The Crippling Dragon’s attack power -20→50, occupies only 1 card position.

[Thunder Shock-2 Point Energy]: The Crippling Dragon performs [Defense] and causes 1 target to become [Dizzy].

[Drum-like Skin-3 Point Energy]: The Crippling Dragon causes 1 row of targets to enter a [Disarmed] state.

([Disarmed]: The target cannot perform [Attack] in the next round.)

Occupying just 1 space as well, this card takes a completely different path than the Spirit Master.

It sacrificed all its attack power but became even tougher.

A card position with 400 health points. Just thinking about it is frightening.

Then its newly added active skill introduced an effect Ree Shil had not seen before.

[Disarmed], preventing the target from attacking in the next round, somewhat similar to [Fear].

But what’s powerful about the Crippling Dragon’s skill is that it targets an entire row.

Being able to prevent a row of targets from dealing damage, and only at the cost of 3 Determination energy, is definitely worth it.

If Ree Shil had this card himself, he’d be willing to put a three-stage attack card into his deck and serve the Crippling Dragon each round, charging it with energy.

The only downside of this card is its high score and lack of attack. However, it more than makes up for it in other aspects.

The upgrade material needed for the Crippling Dragon is a card called the Emblem of the Yellow Emperor.

And the advancement mission is rather exciting.

It actually requires transforming into a puppet in a battlefield to personally behead a fierce beast known as a Crippling Dragon, to complete the task.

Saying nothing else about this fierce beast, just its height standing on a single foot is already as tall as a ten-story building.

Ree Shil didn’t know who else besides the Titan Clan could complete such a task.

Perhaps if the Titan Clan took on this mission, the height of the Crippling Dragon might even increase by tenfold.

Through mission simplification, the Crippling Dragon shrank by tenfold, down to the height of a bungalow.

For Ree Shil, who is from the Human Tribe, that’s still huge, much like a genetically mutated, misshapen giant water buffalo.

But the Crystalling Dragon’s problem lies in how to obtain the S-level material.

It is shown as "currently unavailable."

It’s unclear whether there’s no way to disclose the source, or whether this S-level material simply doesn’t exist yet.

In contrast to this, one of the recently obtained cards is the Candle Dragon.

Candle Dragon

Listening to the Wind, 20 Points, S

Attack 20, 100/100, 2/6

[Replacement-Passive]: The Candle Dragon gains 2 point energy upon Reveal, must [Standstill] every 2 rounds for 1 Round.

[Dimming-Passive]: When the Candle Dragon is an Outer Card in a state of stillness, it causes [Fear] effect to activate immediately (T1) on 1 enemy Outer Card directly in front, effective once within 2 rounds.

[Burning Gaze-Passive]: When the Candle Dragon is an Outer Card and not in a state of stillness, it imparts [Blindness] effect on 1 enemy Outer Card directly in front, effective once within 2 rounds.

[Extinguish-2 Point Energy]: The Candle Dragon selects 1 target, unleashes [Exile] for 1 Round.

[Blow Winter-6 Point Energy]: The Candle Dragon attacks all targets in the rows directly in front, causing them to become [Frozen].

([Blindness]: Prevents the target from selecting targets)

The score dropped from 30 points to 20, and the attack power decreased.

It gained a small boost by adding 2 point charging upon card reveal.

It also added a new active skill.

In addition to attacking the target, it causes them to fall into a "Freezing" hard control.

In fact, the mechanism of "Candle Dragon" itself was very special. At A level, Ree Shil treated it as an almost pseudo-S-level card.

Now that it’s upgraded to S level, the enhancements don’t seem too remarkable.

It merely added 2 points to the energy upper limit and improved the energy cycle a bit.

The skill to freeze one row might seem powerful, but it’s quite challenging to accumulate 6 points of Wind Listening Energy.

If it were someone else, they might think this S-level promotion was just so-so.

But Ree Shil wouldn’t think that way; he believed the S-level "Candle Dragon" was incredibly strong.

And it was the type of strong you could see with your eyes, super strong.

Because in his hand, he held another card.

"Mountain and Sea"

Scene

"Bell Mountain - Agility": Allows "Candle Dragon" to occupy an additional space, Maximum Life Value +100

It’s important to note that the skill "Winter’s Blow" targets "all columns straight ahead."

This means that if you choose to have "Candle Dragon" take up an additional horizontal space, its AOE range would change from one column to two columns.

Suppose it’s in a 9+1 card game; let’s not even mention the swath of hard control "Freezing" effect that would occur at the time.

Just the high damage of two columns of 6x20=120 points is enough to make the 6 points of energy worth the ticket price.

The promotion mission for "Candle Dragon" is very simple.

That is to acquire the scene card "Mountain and Sea," and it doesn’t mention the need to carry the term "Bell Mountain."

Ree Shil was lucky, as he directly began the promotion mission with the set card he got from the package.

However, he didn’t have the S-level Material needed for the promotion.

It was a bound book called "Northern Classics."

As for pathways to obtain it, surprisingly, there were quite a few.

1. Various Divine Deities.

2. Space Turbulence.

Primarily, it’s plenty because it was said that all these Deities might possess the Material Card "Northern Classics."

Which Deities were related, Ree Shil did not know.

He wondered if asking some of the Deities he knew might give him an answer.

Apart from "Crippling Dragon" and "Candle Dragon," the A-level dragon cards he got included "Overlord Below" and "Mirage Dragon."

Among them, "Overlord Below" is somewhat similar to "Crippling Dragon." 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

"Overlord Below"

Determination, 30 points, S

Attack 30, 150/150, 0/20

"Sink River - Passive": Overlord Below cannot be substituted, Maximum Life Value +50→70

"Dragon Child Birth - Passive": Overlord Below’s Health Points are fully restored when Revealed

"Life Injury Reversal - Passive": The damage Overlord Below takes when Covered turns into increased Maximum Life Value upon Reveal

"Stele Suppression - 3 Point Energy": Overlord Below ignores blocking effects, causing one target to fall into "Seal"

"Overlord’s Ascension - 20 Point Energy": Overlord Below transforms itself into "Overlord Dragon"

"Overlord Dragon"

Determination, 100 points, S

Attack 100, 100/100, 0/10

The S-level version of "Overlord Below" has a rather rare 20 points energy upper limit.

Then it is equipped with a derivative card skill that costs a full 20 points.

Based on the projection, the derivative card "Overlord Dragon" is actually the dragon body that emerges from "Overlord Below" breaking its stone stele and emerging from its shell.

Strictly speaking, "Overlord Dragon" is simply a minion card.

Because it has no terms, lacks blocking functions.

Yet its panel of 100 attack and 100 health cannot be ignored by any opponent.

This skill essentially gives "Overlord Below," a Determination card, a rather powerful means of dealing damage.

And if you transform at the moment the health is nearly depleted, it’s like getting an extra tube of blood, an extra life.

The downside is, never mind the peculiar promotion mission that requires chanting the "Sutra of Merit" N times.

Mainly, its S-level material, like "Crippling Dragon," is also listed as unavailable.

"Huh?"

However, when Ree Shil looked at "Mirage Dragon," he found that its situation was completely the opposite of "Crippling Dragon" and "Overlord Below."

This S-rank card seemed very easy to obtain, perhaps even possible to get immediately.
