Chapter 89: Points Surge

When the points system was introduced, the school also mentioned the supplies that they could exchange for it.

Apparently, each point could be used to buy or exchange supplies from the main base.

If one found valuable materials during their hunt, they could also exchange them for more points to buy supplies.

These points could not be used in the rankings but would be listed as a separate balance for each of them.

For example, aside from his own points for ranking, Desther saw on his phone that he also had another ’5’ right after the word ’Balance’.

Desther took a look at the available items that could be exchanged in the main base.

From the looks of it, each point has an equal value of no less than 5 Awakened Credits.

As he scrolled down the list, he even saw the Space Bags he desperately wanted.

’It actually just cost 500 Points to get the smallest Space Bag with 10 cubic meters of space?’

This was definitely a steal.

In the market, the Space Bags of such size were usually sold for around 5000 Awakened Credits.

Ten cubic meters might sound big, but if it were converted to a perfect cube, it could only be around 2.15 meters in length for all dimensions.

Such a space, if a monster was put inside, could hardly accommodate one to five of them at once.

However, if one only puts the important stuff inside, this space would be enough for Desther.

Now, he had already estimated that each point has an equal value of 5 Awakened Credits. If the price of each Space Bags was just 500 Points, then does that not mean that technically, it only cost 2500 Awakened Credits?

If this was not charity, then what was?

’I must get this...’ Desther decided without a moment of hesitation.

’But 500 points...’

’Should be doable. The only problem is that there is not much in stock. I need to get one before the others.’

Unfortunately, there were no other sizes available aside from the 10 cubic meters one.

The night passed in the blink of an eye.

With Desther standing guard, morning came without any unusual event happening.

After doing his workout, Noah woke up and prepared their simple breakfast.

The rankings had once again begun to shift. Noah was still in the top 50, so it was of no concern to them.

This was already the third day in the wilderness. Most of the students had already gotten used to their life here.

Slowly, they were introduced to the life outside of the shelters.

Desther did not know if there were any casualties or injuries among the students as of this moment.

But considering they were well-trained and were prepared for this activity, the injuries and accidents should be in the minority.

In the points exchange system introduced yesterday, there were also supplies available for treating wounds and other injuries.

If a harsh incident occurs, there should also be teachers that are ready to assist the students.

Anyway, it was yet another brand new day in the wilderness for the freshmen of Radiant Dawn College.

The points began to surge as the students began to hunt early in the morning.

Desther and Noah did not want to lose out that much as well.

Right after eating breakfast, the two of them began their journey deeper into the Veldora Woods.

Desther checked the dumping site along the way. He noticed that the Ravenous Lizards were still feasting on the corpses of the Demon Bunnies they hunted. Their numbers had doubled compared to yesterday as well.

Desther planned to harvest them later.

With their growing familiarity with each other, Demon Bunnies after Demon Bunnies fell one after the other.

Noah had obviously grown compared to the first time they faced a Demon Bunny.

At least he could now contend even with a Level 5 Demon Bunny even without Desther providing support right off the bat.

By noon, his accumulated points were already at 70 points. Desther added some points to his total as well, accumulating 15 points in total. He was finally no longer in last place in their Class A ranking.

Speaking of rankings, Arthur still firmly held first place with 98 points. Lexie was following closely behind with 95 points while Victor was at third place with 90 points.

With 70 points, Noah was now in the top 20.

Even Noah himself could not believe that they could earn and kill that many monsters in just a span of a few hours.

It must be noted that searching for the monsters was the most time-consuming when it comes to hunting.

It was the same even for them.

However, he noticed and realized that their hunt seemed to have become easier, requiring less time for each monster they killed.

"Have I actually grown this strong?"

Noah felt that he was at the top of the world. His confidence rose as he looked forward to the next prey they encountered.

Desther, on the other hand, remained silent. He did not tell Noah that he was actually using Attribute Theft right off the bat instead of using it a moment before the monster was killed like before.

His reasoning was simple.

In order to get that Space Bag, Noah’s point must reach 500 points as soon as possible.

The middle claws of the Demon Bunny should be able to fetch some points as well. But Noah still needs to change his gear. His bat was now almost deformed, with his shield now bearing a lot of claw marks.

It would become dangerous for him if it were not changed any time soon.

To avoid pressuring Noah, Desther did not tell him regarding his plan of acquiring that Space Bag either. He will know when the time comes.

’If he won’t buy it at that time... then so be it.’

Desther was not the type to force someone to do something anyway.

It’s just that every action has its own consequences. As long as the other party was ready for the consequence, then all was fine.

After they ate lunch, the two continued their hunt.
