SSS Awakening: I Can Steal Attributes
Chapter 93: Eerie
Desther looked at his profile and noticed the staggering amount of Free Attributes that he had yet to allocate.
As of this moment, he now has a total of 605 Free Attributes at his disposal. If allocated fairly toward all his main attributes, that would mean that each of his attributes would get an additional 121 points.
This amount was almost the same as what he currently had.
If he ever allocated this much, Desther did not know just how strong he would be by then.
Considering that half of the two Tier 2 Awakened Professionals’ attributes he marked before were around 148 or more, Desther assumed that as of this moment, he could be as strong as entry-level Tier 2 Awakened if he ever allocated all of his points.
Of course, that was only for their highest attribute. Since all of his attributes were of the same amount, it could be assumed that Desther was stronger compared to an entry Tier 2 Awakened Professional.
However, considering that they have Class and Tier bonuses that could enhance their attributes further, Desther felt that defeating them would be an easy feat either.
Feeling that he was being arrogant and getting ahead of himself, Desther shook his head to get rid of such thoughts.
His gaze shifted a little and saw that his experience points were now at 94% after earlier’s incident with the Ravenous Lizard.
By tomorrow, it was already a foregone conclusion that he would reach level 10 and get his Tier 1 Class ahead of the others.
Speaking of the others, he could not judge their leveling speed either.
The experience points acquisition was not fixed, and for all he knew, they could already be at level 10 right now if every kill they made gave them experience points.
Such a person would truly be blessed by luck.
Speaking of luck, he could not help but recall the fact that he was blessed by luck as well according to his title.
The effect seemed minimal, though. At the very least, Desther did not think that his luck had increased at all.
In fact, he even thought that it had worsened by a bit.
The gacha game he was playing now only points to ’try again’ every time. If it was before, he could at least get some rewards every now and then.
Anyway, the two of them quickly arrived near their tree house once again.
Looking around, Desther made sure that the trips and traps he set up were not triggered before they finally proceeded forward.
Being cautious was already second nature to him, and even Noah was now slightly contaminated with his attitude.
If it were before, Noah would surely not think about the consequence of entering the top 5 of the rankings and would gladly take it without hesitation.
For him to question and get worried about it showed his growth during the past few days that he was with Desther.
After eating dinner, Desther finally decided that it was about time that they went back to the main base and resupplied some of their items.
There was still a lot of food available due to them eating some monster meat every now and then. Coupled with Noah’s own supply, it would truly not be a problem for the two of them to survive for a month or two in the wilderness.
The thing that he wanted to change was obviously Noah’s baseball bat and shield.
Armors and protections would be a good addition as well, considering that from now, the battle will only grow more intense and bloody.
Aside from that, Desther also felt that a bath was necessary for both of them. Their water supply was, after all, just for drinking.
And it has been days since the two of them took a bath.
Although they changed clothes every now and then, the feeling of getting refreshed after taking a bath could still not be replaced easily.
With that being decided, the two of them did not waste any more time and set foot toward the main base.
The tree house was a little far from the base, and it was already night, so the two of them took their time moving forward.
Although faint, the moon hanging above lightly illuminated their path as well.
Some monsters popped out from time to time, but they would also be quick enough to escape out of their sight.
The situation was quite bizarre for Noah.
Didn’t they say that monsters were more aggressive during the night?
How come the monster we’ve encountered so far seemed to be afraid of something?
"Why do they always escape without hesitation?"
He could not help but asked after another monster freaked out and ran away the moment it noticed their presence.
In fact, Desther was quite puzzled too.
He witnessed firsthand just how ferocious monsters were during the night.
Or to be more precise, monsters that remained active at night, or chose to be active at night, were usually the most fearsome and fearless of them all.
"Who knows. It seems to me that they are afraid of something, or someone, though. Let’s continue forward."
Noah nodded his head and followed behind Desther.
His heart grew tense as the unknown crept into his mind and heart.
At the same time, Desther also felt a suffocating silence suddenly engulf the two of them.
Although faint, he also seemed to sense some unusual presence around them.
This was the first time in a while that he felt like this.
Whatever it was hiding in the shadows, he knew that it was not something to be taken lightly.
As they continued forward, Desther already began to allocate his attribute points.
He did not think about his future class for now. The most important thing right now was to neutralize the threat that he was feeling.
There was only one reason why he was feeling this way.
It should be because he was not strong enough to kill whatever presence that hid and scared the monster away.
To be more precise, Desther felt that he could not kill it as swiftly as possible.
If he increased his attributes, though, the situation should change.
And with that, 605 Free Attributes were poured toward his attributes one after the other.
