SSS Awakening: Starting With Infinite Soul Copy
Chapter 103: Meeting With Supernaturals (I)
It was a gigantic body, pitch black in color, floating amongst the clouds.
The crimson rays shining from it onto White were so bright that he could barely make out the lines of purple that stretched across its humongous body.
Before he could glimpse anything more, he felt the ground beneath him suddenly grow light as if gravity had stopped existing.
A powerful force followed next, dragging him along with Huracan into the metallic surface.
It opened as they got close, swallowing them both before turning invisible, disappearing as if it never existed.
"Identification!"
The words woke up White, who felt a bit of lightheadedness in his head.
With the world getting into focus, he could see three things.
The Otherworlder called Huracan, who was still by his side, and the two new people standing before him.
Seeing the dark veins that stretched across their necks, White could easily decipher.
They were also Otherworlders.
To the question, veins also appeared all over Huracan’s neck, and that seemed to confirm things for them.
Then, their eyes turned to White.
"He’s a Human. They’re not allowed on this ship, so we kill him."
One of the guards said, his hands reaching out towards White, but Huracan’s hands reached faster, stopping him in his path.
Then, he walked towards the guards, whispering in his ear.
White couldn’t hear what they said, but based on how the Otherworlder guard’s eyes widened in shock and his head quietly fell whilst he shifted to the side to allow them entry, he could guess Huracan had told them of his identity...well, almost his.
The thought of that made him unconsciously turn to the corner of his gaze, where the golden light was still quietly blinking.
’I wonder what you’re up to this time, system.’
"Please come in."
The words awoke White, who stepped through the door.
Inside was a simple room that contained one thing: a teleporter.
White and Huracan stepped onto it, and in the next moment, they both disappeared.
Successfully, he had infiltrated the Supernaturals’ base.
__________
When they reappeared, the scene before them was a bit deafening.
He and Huracan stood over what seemed to be a floor, from beneath which he could see a group dressed in suits dancing on the floor.
There were round tables and chairs where some sat in twos and threes, drinking, eating, and chatting.
"A party!?"
White mused beneath his lips, but then Huracan called to him.
"My King. Those are the more powerful Otherworlders temporarily made leaders."
He said, pointing up.
There was a glass building sticking out slightly and a bit dark.
White could barely make out the halo of about seven people inside.
"They’re discussing important topics with the Supernaturals. Maybe once they’re done with the meeting, you can meet with them."
He said, and White nodded before speaking.
"You’ve been of good service, Huracan. Consider yourself forgiven, and...I’ll take things from here."
White said as Huracan bowed before he turned his back, disappearing into the crowds of...Supernaturals!
Yes.
Every single being in this place were Supernaturals, and the sight of them made White’s jaw grind in anger.
"You didn’t come all the way here just to lose yourself to anger, did you?"
The Otherworlder’s words rang in his ear, but how could White keep it down?
He could see the liquid in the cups on those tables that those Supernaturals were sipping.
It was human blood!
Even the steaming meat on the table was human parts.
The damned Supernaturals were celebrating the fact that they took down one of Humanity’s top academies, and they were doing so by sipping the blood and meat of students and Instructors.
"They’ll die a worse death."
The Otherworlder’s words echoed in his head.
"In the cruellest way possible. Trust me."
"Just don’t lose yourself to the anger. Stick with the plan, and you’ll have your revenge soon."
The words made White shut his eyes, inhaling and exhaling to quell his pounding heart.
After almost thirty seconds of conviction, he was finally able to keep the anger away, though his eye color had changed once more.
From that clear black to a crimson-dark.
Though in such a setting, with almost everyone having fully red or pitch-dark eyes, it only made him fit in better.
"Care for a drink?"
The words echoed by his side, and he turned, finding someone stretching a cup to him.
At first, the sight of it almost made him want to rip out the figure’s neck, but then his eyes narrowed at the liquid in the cup.
Though it was red, it wasn’t human blood.
"Don’t tell me you prefer human blood?"
She asked him as White turned from the cup to the figure...It was a her.
Long black hair that glistened with an unnatural black, along with clear golden eyes.
She seemed absolutely no different from a normal human lady.
"Why not blood, though?"
White said with a cordial smile, taking the cup.
"Everyone here seems to greatly enjoy it."
He added, turning his sight down below, and true to his words, that was what filled the majority of the cups. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"Only Vampires enjoy the blood. The rest are just drinking to keep face."
She said with a shrug, taking a sip of her juice.
"To have so many people trying to please them, I’m guessing they must have quite the hierarchy amongst your Supernatural Order."
He commented.
"Of course. This victory against the Humans was owed mostly to the Vampires."
"They had the inner connections with some of the humans in the Academy that made invading them easier."
She said with no emotion.
"So there were humans involved, too?"
White mused,
"To think they’ll be responsible for the destruction of their own. I’m guessing these humans must be quite dumb."
He commented, taking a long sip of the liquid.
"I wouldn’t call the Humans dumb."
She replied, and he paused.
"I think the quote ’Everyone has a price’ would be more qualifying."
"Humans aren’t dumb. They are just...cheaper."
