It was a highly unpleasant feeling for White to have the control of his own body lost.

It was too fast for him to try to resist.

One moment, he was trying to dodge an impending strike, and in the next moment, all movement of his shut down for good.

Less than a second later, and it was like he had been switched away from the controlling seat.

The sensation was still the same.

He could feel the wind whistling past him as he floated meters off the ground, the inexplicable power pulsing through every cell in his body.

But, he wasn’t in control.

Like he could only feel and not control.

It was a sensation that sent a crippling fear, leading to his heart pounding in his chest.

That, however, seemed to translate to his body as the Otherworlder felt his heart rate spiking.

The boy’s performing actions that weren’t under its control would lead to more soul corruption, so it turned to the bowing Otherworlder, pulling his head up.

"Bring me to the Supernatural’s gathering, and your sins are forgiven."

He said, and Huracan watched as the dark blood flowing out of the man’s eyes receded.

The circular dark halo hanging over his head slowly faded away, and then he dropped quietly to the ground.

"There... you have your body back."

The Otherworlder’s words echoed in White’s head, who unconsciously folded his hand and unfolded it repeatedly.

"This way, please, My King."

Huracan said as he resumed walking into the distance, and White quietly followed.

’I didn’t know you could take over my body.’

White said to it.

"I can."

"But...the more I do so, the more your soul gets corrupted."

"Your Spirit has increased, but it’s not nearly enough for a non-harmful takeover."

It explained.

"Besides, it’s a sickening feeling taking over your body."

It said, the evident displeasure echoing in White’s head.

’And why is that?’

"Your body is too weak. Imagine trying to force a sea into a little pond. How tight and uncomfortable the sea will feel."

"That doesn’t even make sense."

White mused beneath his lips.

"So far you get what I’m trying to say."

"Hey,"

White called to it.

"Next time you want to do that, I’d appreciate an early request. It’s not exactly pleasing to suddenly find my own body hijacked from me."

"Is it that bad for you, too?"

The Otherworlder asked.

"It’s as bad as me now, starting to welcome the thought of getting rid of you."

White replied.

"Got it. Though it’s almost impossible to get rid of me."

It added, and White picked up on the word.

"Almost...impossible? As in, there’s a way to reverse the fusion?"

The manual didn’t mention anything like reversing the fusion with an Otherworlder.

"Yes. There are a couple of ways to reverse the fusion."

White almost paused in his tracks.

"And what is..."

He was asking, but then paused, rolling his eyes.

"I’m guessing you’ll never tell me that."

White said.

"Actually, I can if you want."

"Really?"

"Yes. I have to mention that most of those processes will lead to you dying, though."

It said, and his expression plummeted.

"What use is defusing if it’ll lead to my death?"

"So, you’ll get buried whole."

It replied, continuing,

"There are some races in this world who believe a soul comes to this world whole and must leave whole."

"So, when a person is about to die, they extract the Otherworlder from them, allowing their soul to die whole again."

"They made the majority of the defusing techniques, and it works quite well."

"Forget it."

White interrupted.

He wasn’t a believer in the ’die whole’ bullshit.

If he were dying, he’d rather drag down as many victims as possible with him.

Silence resumed as they continued their journey, though White’s eyes were narrowed the whole while.

He noticed that ever since the soul takeovers from the Otherworlder had happened, the system was blinking a golden light at the far corner of his eyes.

"You look confused about something."

The Otherworlder said before he could ask the system.

"I am."

White responded.

"What’s that?"

Quickly, he thought of an answer and replied.

"This Otherworlder called you a King Otherworlder."

"And even now that it’s clear that you’re not the one in control, it still doesn’t try to resist your command."

"What’s with that? Are you really his king?"

White asked a question that had crossed his mind faintly when that happened.

"We Otherworlders have a clear hierarchy that is never disobeyed, irrespective of power."

"I’m a King Otherworlder, and he’s a Warrior Otherworlder, lower in hierarchy still."

"My words won’t be disobeyed, even if he’s the more powerful...which he never is and will never be, of course."

It added.

White understood that a bit.

A Warrior, of course, listens to the King, even if they’re very much stronger.

That happens even back in the UEF.

There were some commanders who were weaker than White, yet he had no choice but to listen to their orders.

Though kneeling to them just because they said so would be impossible.

Still, he had noticed that those words by his Otherworlder weren’t a simple command.

They seemed to carry a pressure of some sort, making it impossible to refuse.

"Are you really a King Otherworlder?"

White suddenly asked, not even sure why he asked a question that he already knew the answer to.

"No."

It said to White, whose thoughts paused.

"But I thought..."

"No."

The Otherworlder said.

"I’ve long superseded my own race..."

"We’re here..."

Huracan’s voice echoed in front, and White paused.

They had long walked past the broken vestiges of the academy, arriving in a blank area with nothing but cracks and abyssal marks lingering everywhere the eyes could see.

"So... where are they all?"

White asked, and his answer came when an incredibly bright crimson light shone down upon him.

His gaze snapped up to the sky, and his eyes widened at the sight.

"What...what is that!?"
