Chapter 811: Disposing of the corpse

5th Zone, City-A

Jeremy Night reached the Red Moon Organisation 20 minutes later. He paid the cab driver before going inside the building.

He passed by the members. He saw everyone busy discussing missions. They were ready to enter the wilderness again.

He was not surprised. The governors hadn’t broken the news yet. He didn’t know what they were thinking.

Jeremy then looked towards his chest. There was a chest wound caused by the spike earlier. He needed to treat it.

But he had urgent work before that.

He then went towards Head Harold’s office. He was in a hurry. In the blink of an eye, he reached the office.

He didn’t know whether Head Harold was here or not. Then he saw that the door unlocked automatically.

Then he received a text message. He got permission to enter. Jeremy smiled.

He then walked inside the room. He saw Head Harold behind the desk. He was going through reports.

Harold raised his head and saw Jeremy Night.

"What happened?"

"I saw your calls earlier," Harold said.

Hearing that, Jeremy sat down opposite him.

He was surprised in his heart. Head Harold had seen his calls, but he didn’t respond to them.

Harold was going through reports. Then he slowly raised his head. He saw the confused look Jeremy Night showed.

"I saw your calls earlier. But I was busy with other work. Tell me, what happened?" Harold asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night took a deep breath.

"I killed a Tier-6 Beast Tamer in the city," Jeremy said.

"Come again?" Harold asked.

He felt he had heard something wrong.

"A Tier-6 Beast Tamer tried to kill me. We had a huge fight inside the abandoned factory. I was able to kill him in the end," Jeremy said to him.

Harold paused his work. He looked towards Jeremy Night. He then spotted the chest wound.

The wound had stopped bleeding, but he could tell that it was a nasty wound.

Harold got serious. He stopped looking at the reports. He turned his focus towards Jeremy Night.

"Tell me what happened from the beginning," Harold asked.

Hearing that, Jeremy started telling him the events.

At first, Harold’s expression was calm. Then his expression began to get serious. He didn’t expect someone would dare to commit a crime inside the city.

What’s more, a Tier-6 Beast Tamer had done this. He had tried to kill this young man.

"Who could it be?"

"The Darkshade Organisation?" Harold asked himself.

Then he looked towards Jeremy Night with a serious gaze.

"Take me to the site." After saying that, Harold stood up.

Jeremy nodded his head. Then they left the building. He thought they would take a cab.

Instead, Head Harold used his flight ability and grabbed Jeremy’s shoulder to move through the air.

The members outside the building were all surprised. They had rarely seen higher-ups using the flight ability inside the city.

This time, they didn’t see just any higher-up, but they saw the Head of the organisation leaving with someone.

A few people recognized the second person. They knew it was the popular Tier-3 Beast Tamer in the organisation.

They wanted to know what was going on, but they didn’t know whom to ask.

A few of the members went inside and shared the news with others. Quickly, the news spread among the members and the staff.

It was more like gossip rather than emergency news.

On the other hand, Jeremy showed the direction. They quickly reached the abandoned factory. Then they saw a corpse lying in a pool of blood.

Harold knew all the important people in the city, so he recognized the face right away.

"Ronald Hill," Harold thought.

He quickly connected the dots. He knew that the deceased person belonged to the Hill Family, the same Hill Family which had problems with Jeremy Night.

He recalled seeing the face of the Family Head, Robert Hill, during the Beast Tide. He realized that it could be his work.

Harold then collected the corpse of Ronald Hill into his storage ring. Then he grabbed Jeremy Night and left the place.

Swoosh!

They left the city and went in the direction of the wilderness. They reached the city wall and flew over it.

In the blink of an eye, they entered the wilderness. No one saw it because Harold moved fast.

No one had the intention to look at the sky.

Harold didn’t move in the direction of the Governors. Instead, he moved in another direction.

One hour later,

Harold entered the unexplored region and he came across Tier-5 and Tier-6 beasts. He dropped the corpse of Ronald on the ground.

The scent of blood was alluring. It attracted the beasts roaming nearby to the spot. The higher-tier beasts rushed to the spot.

They saw the corpse of a Tier-6 Beast Tamer. It was an attractive meal for these beasts. They started eating the corpse’s flesh.

Head Harold and Jeremy Night stayed silent. Harold didn’t speak. He waited until the corpse was completely consumed by the beasts.

A few minutes later,

Harold poured some solution to erase the traces. Only then did he show relief on his face.

Then they left the wilderness. They came back to the Red Moon Chamber a few minutes later.

Once again, everyone looked towards them. The members were perplexed. They didn’t know what was going on.

Harold and Jeremy Night returned to the office. Then they entered the room. Harold sat behind the desk.

Jeremy sat down opposite him.

Harold took a couple of minutes to digest the information.

Harold then looked towards Jeremy Night.

"You have no idea what you have done."

"Fortunately, you didn’t hide the matter from me. We were able to dispose of the corpse on time," Harold said.

Jeremy was shocked as well. He knew it was a crime to fight inside the city. Not only had they fought, but he had killed someone.

It wasn’t the first time for him. He had killed criminal gangs in the city before. So, what was the difference?

Head Harold saw through his thoughts.

Head Harold said, "Robert Hill is a madman. If he finds out that you were able to kill a Tier-6 Beast Tamer, he will kill you at all costs."

"It’s also shocking news for me," he added with a slightly shocked tone.
