Jeremy Night returned to his room a few minutes later. Head Harold assured him that he would talk to the Governor about the breathing method.

Governor’s office

An old lady with a healing ability was watching the video evidence. Her expression turned cold. She then turned toward Governors Martin and Orion.

"The Tier-9 Beast is making a move. It must have felt that the wilderness has calmed down. Now it has started acting," she said.

"Yes, my lord. The beast is cunning. Earlier, it wiped out the human settlement before escaping."

"Now it’s doing the same thing again, as if the beast’s motive is to cause massive damage," Martin said.

"We cannot handle the casualties. Each time, the numbers are increasing," Orion added.

He expressed his support.

The old lady stood up. She looked at the wilderness through the window. She didn’t know what was taking the people in the Human Alliance so long.

She said, "Contact the alliance. Update them on the developments."

Swoosh!

After saying that, she left the place. In a flash, she reached the city gate. She stood in the sky. Her gaze fell on the wilderness.

She then flew to the core area of the wilderness. She saw that a greater number of corrupted beasts had spread across the place.

They were coming from the unexplored region. She had no doubt that the Tier-9 Beast was ordering this from behind.

She looked around before releasing her lifeline beast. A massive plant-type beast appeared on the ground. She knew that there could be Beast Tamers in the wilderness.

They had accepted the special mission. She decided to save them first. She then ordered her lifeline beast.

Boom!

The plant beast moved its roots. In a flash, the roots swept across the Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts. Upon contact, the beasts were pulverized.

They couldn’t stand against the pressure of the Tier-9 beast. Their bodies burst into pieces before they actually came into contact with the roots.

Boom!

In the span of a few minutes, hundreds of the Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts were killed. The lifeline beast was not attacking in the area of the Human Beast Tamers.

The old lady was dealing with the problem herself. Whenever she found a Human Beast Tamer, she began to rescue them.

Not long after, Governors Martin and Orion came to help. The old lady had killed most of the beasts. There were a few remaining. She left those beasts to them. She then took back her lifeline beast.

Swoosh!

She went to the border next. She had seen the footage earlier. When she appeared in that location, she saw Tier-4 and Tier-5 corrupted beasts crossing the border.

She stood in mid-air, slightly above a shade tree. She didn’t immediately attack the beasts here.

Because her goal was different. She wanted to find the Tier-9 Beast. They knew it was a poison-type beast, but they didn’t know what exactly the beast was.

Swoosh!

The next second, she entered the unexplored region. She flew over the beasts which were crossing the border right now.

She tried to lower her presence. She didn’t want to be seen by the Tier-9 Beast.

She quickly covered more distance and came to a point where she saw a large number of beasts converging.

From this point here, they were going to the border to cross it. She stayed in mid-air. She was using her mental power to find traces.

Suddenly, she sensed danger. She turned around and looked deep ahead into the unexplored area.

She had already come deeper. If she went further, she could find higher-tier beasts. She wouldn’t be surprised if she came across more than one Tier-9 Beast. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶

Because Tier-9 Beasts casually roamed in that place. She was hesitating. Her goal was to find the beast responsible for the attack.

She didn’t want to find the wrong one. She calmed her heart and decided to stay hidden. She quickly found a tall shade tree. She then stood on top of a branch.

She was going to wait here. She was sure that the Tier-9 Beast would make an appearance soon. Once she recognized the beast, she would come together with other lords to wipe it out.

The cunning Tier-9 Beast had had its run so far. It was time for them to put an end to the beast tide.

Meanwhile,

Governors Martin and Orion were killing the rest of the beasts. They noticed more and more beasts were coming from the unexplored region.

They knew the Lord had gone to the border. If she was not killing the beasts, then she must be waiting for the Tier-9 Beast to appear.

"What to do?" Orion asked.

"Let’s continue with the killing," Martin replied.

Only if they continued with the killing might the Tier-9 Beast feel restless and appear before them.

Time passed,

They easily killed the beasts which were entering the wilderness. They didn’t request help from the family heads.

Some of them had come to help, but they refused their assistance. They ordered them to go back. They should enter only if their help was requested.

Unexplored region

The Tier-9 Black Centipede was staying in the unexplored region. There were other beasts in the territory as well.

It felt that the corrupted beasts were reaching the border without any disturbance. It would be a matter of time before it sent the Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts.

The Tier-9 Beast didn’t bother to check the wilderness because it was the lower-tier beasts which had gone earlier.

One hour later,

The Tier-9 Beast ordered the Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts to reach the border. A large number of higher-tier beasts were going toward the gathering point. From there, they would enter the border.

The old lady was still staying in the same spot. She knew that the Governors were taking care of the beasts entering the wilderness.

But the Tier-9 Beast had yet to make an appearance. Just as she was thinking about it, she felt the presence of the Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts.

They were coming toward the gathering area from different directions.

She saw it with her own eyes. The beasts were coming in this direction. The old lady’s eyes flickered. She understood that the Tier-9 Beast had given out its next order.
