STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 860: Part 2: Hunt (Tier-9 Beast)
Wilderness
Governor Martin and Orion were doing their best. Yet the number of beasts was increasing. They were wondering what the Lord was up to.
It didn’t take long for them to find the higher-tier beasts entering the wilderness here. The Governors didn’t wait any longer.
They requested help from the heads of the various Beast Taming Families. Most of them were already standing above the city gate.
They had never left the place. They were waiting for orders. Now, they have received the order.
Swoosh!
One after another, the Tier-8 Beast Tamers answered the call. The Governors requested assistance from the Tier-7 Beasts. They would enter the wilderness soon.
From the Red Moon Chamber, Head Harold received the order. He and a few elders left the organization. They were going toward the wilderness.
Similarly, the others who were in their homes and organizations left as well.
The Head of the Beast Taming Association and the Dean of the Central University left their place together with a few elders.
Both organizations got help from the other zones. They had requested manpower, so their headquarters had sent a team under a Tier-8 Beast Tamer.
So, there were four Tier-8 Beast Tamers going to the wilderness right now.
Time passed.
The wilderness had become hot once again. The clashes started to occur. The Beast Tamers were fighting against the higher-tier corrupted beasts.
The old lady was at the gathering point. She was really patient. Instead of eliminating the beasts, she was waiting for the Tier-9 Beasts to appear.
She knew that without identifying the Tier-9 beasts, the problem would continue to occur.
So, she ignored the Tier-6 and Tier-7 Beasts. Eventually, she spotted the Tier-8 Beasts making an appearance. Her expression slightly changed.
If the Tier-8 Beasts were to enter the battlefield, it would add to the pressure on the Tier-8 Beast Tamers. Now, she thought it had become a Beast Tide-like situation.
She watched the Tier-8 Beasts crossing the border in the end. If she made an impulsive decision and attacked the Tier-8 Beasts, then the Tier-9 Beast would know.
Time passed.
Governors Martin and Orion were under pressure because of the Tier-8 Beasts. Now that the Tier-8 Beasts had appeared, they were wondering what the Lord was doing right now.
If she had wanted to, she could have squashed the beasts at the border.
But she didn’t let it happen. They could understand that the Lord was determined to find the Tier-9 Beast. She won’t come back until it happens.
The Governors made a decision. They requested the special team to appear on the battlefield.
If they took care of the lower-tier beasts, then others could focus on dealing with the higher-tier beasts.
...
In the Red Moon Chamber, Jeremy Night was disturbed by the sudden alarm. He woke up and saw the time was midnight.
"What’s going on?" he asked himself.
He then saw the message. It was sent by the administration. He opened the message and read it.
"Request for help," Jeremy uttered.
The next second, he got out of bed. He began to get ready next.
Twenty minutes later, he left the room and went to the lobby. He saw there were Beast Tamers like him. They were ready to go to the wilderness.
But they were not summoned. On the other hand, he got the call. His appearance drew attention. He looked at the administration office.
The staff nodded to him. Seeing that, he nodded back to them before leaving the building.
Right then, a commotion occurred.
"What happened here?"
"Was he summoned to the battlefield?"
"He is just a Tier-3 Beast Tamer."
The Beast Tamers in the lobby started asking questions. They were demanding answers from the administration staff.
But the administration staff clearly told them they were following the orders of the city governor’s office.
Hearing that, everyone quieted down. If it was an order from the governor’s office, then they could only remain silent.
Ten minutes later, the flying car landed in front of the city gate. He then stepped out and paid the fare to the driver.
He then rushed to the city gate. The guards allowed him to pass. They didn’t mind his Tier-3 strength because they had orders to let the special team enter. Jeremy Night entered the wilderness.
Boom!
He heard a loud booming sound. It sounded as if it were coming from every side. He collected his thoughts and went to the inner area.
There, he came across Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts. The beasts were finding a place to stay, as other areas had become a battlefield for the higher-tier beasts.
It didn’t take long for the beasts to notice the human beast tamer. The next moment, they charged at him.
Boom!
Jeremy unsheathed his blade. He was going to use blade moves. He had long been practicing precise attacks.
So, he didn’t randomly swing. He waited for the beasts to get near him. When the beasts got near, he didn’t use his eye power.
Cut!
He simply slashed at the neck of the beast. The blade moved fast before striking the neck of the beast.
Puchak!
The blade severed the blood vessels before going deeper into the neck. Blood spurted from the blade wound.
Slash!
The beast collapsed onto the ground.
He then withdrew the blade before making a reverse strike. The blade swept across the beast.
Puchak!
The blade cut through the abdomen. The internal organs were revealed. A huge pool of blood formed. The second beast dropped to the ground with a heavy injury.
Slice!
Whenever the blade moved in his hands, a corrupted beast fell to the ground with heavy injuries.
As time passed, he killed all the beasts. Then, he used his eye power to scan the surroundings. He didn’t want to encounter Tier-6 and Tier-7 beasts.
He understood the reason behind their summoning. He thought they were here to handle the lower-tier beasts and keep them from hindering others.
Even if he wanted to target a Tier-6 Beast, it was unnecessary. If other higher-tier beasts decided to surround him, it would become troublesome.
