STRIKER: Independent Beast Tamer
Chapter 872: Accident
Time passed
The flight is now going to the special base. Head Harold continues to talk about the special base and the Beast Tamers.
Jeremy Night then came to know about those Beast Tamers. They are specially trained by the Beast Tamers in the Human Alliance.
He had forgotten that they were genius beast tamers. Not long ago, when he was at Central University 14th Zone, he had submitted his name for the genius list requested by the Human Alliance.
But he got rejected. Then he was recruited by Senior Gisela Reyes to the 10th Zone. From there, his journey started.
Now, he is going to explore the 4th zone from the 5th zone.
Head Harold was talking non-stop until night fell. Everyone was asleep. Jeremy tried to sleep, but he was feeling restless.
So he opened his eyes. He viewed the outside scene through the window. Jeremy Night saw the barren land on the ground below.
He had been seeing the same terrain over and over again. There were no green patches in between.
Alarm!
Suddenly, an alarm sounded from nowhere. The whole plane resonated with the alarm sound. Hearing it, everyone woke up from their sleep.
"What’s going on?"
"Why did the alarm sound?"
"It must be corrupted beasts."
"Be vigilant."
The passengers started crying out. Head Harold woke up from his sleep. Like him, there were other veterans on the flight.
They stood up from their seats and immediately tried to calm down the situation. The pilots and crew members were experienced.
They immediately descended the plane. Seeing that, Jeremy Night used his eye power to look through the window.
Then he looked above the plane. A massive aerial beast with three tails was flying above. The visual itself was impactful.
Gasp!
The passengers exclaimed in surprise. Apart from the veterans, it was the first time for the others to witness a flying-type beast.
The size of the aerial-type beast was massive. If the beast were to make contact with the plane, it would cause massive destruction.
The veterans were waiting for instructions. Suddenly, the lights went off. It was done purposely so as not to draw attention.
Everyone waited there with bated breath. Jeremy Night calmed his racing heart. He couldn’t imagine an accident happening here.
Boom!
Not long after, the flight went even lower. Everyone’s face changed drastically. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Head Harold’s expression turned ugly.
He turned towards Jeremy Night and said, "Get ready for a rough landing."
Hearing that, Jeremy Night felt a bad premonition. He looked through the window. He saw the plane was spiraling down toward the ground.
The pilots found it difficult. Then, the plane’s speed slowed down. The spiraling stopped.
A hint of relief flashed in his eyes.
Seeing that, he got ready for the impact. The other veterans instructed the rest of the passengers.
Boom!
Not long after, the plane made an emergency landing on the ground. Everyone felt the impact force. Fortunately, the passengers found themselves safe because of the earlier instructions.
Burning smoke came out from the tires. The emergency exit was opened. The passengers started to exit the plane.
When it was his turn, Jeremy exited the plane. Head Harold followed next.
Jeremy then came to the flat land. He looked around the place. He found out the area was a semi-desert.
The passengers were scanning the place as well. Jeremy then looked toward the plane. He hadn’t seen any attack earlier. Then why did it land?
"What are you thinking about?" Head Harold asked.
"What happened to the plane?" Jeremy asked back.
"The aerial beast’s slight pressure struck the front part of the plane. The pilots in the cockpit were injured."
"It was an accident. If the aerial beast had wanted to attack, then everyone else would have been injured as well," Harold said.
Jeremy then recalled the scene from earlier. The aerial beast with three tails flew above them earlier. To think that unintentional coercion had caused all this damage.
"You wait here. I’ll go check on the pilots." After saying that, Head Harold went to see the pilots.
Jeremy Night found a boulder to sit down on. He sat on it before trying to sense the natural energy of the place.
Unfortunately, the natural energy was not thick here.
The place was not good for practice. Jeremy didn’t know what the next step would be. He thought they were stranded right now. They needed support next.
It might take hours or days.
He then looked at the other passengers. He found out that there was no one his age. He was the youngest one, possessing Tier-3 Beast Tamer strength.
Jeremy Night then collected his thoughts. He stopped paying attention to them. He continued to watch the developments.
The pilots then appeared before everyone. Their bodies were blood-soaked. They were in no position to move.
Someone from the cabin crew was treating them. That person had a healing ability. Jeremy sighed. He knew about other professions as well.
Those who do not want to become Beast Tamers choose civilian professions. Yet, even such professions play an important role in society.
A few minutes later,
Head Harold came back. He wore a difficult expression.
Seeing that, Jeremy Night knew it was not good news.
"Kid, we are going to be stranded here for another few hours. It will take time for both the 4th and 5th zones to know about the incident," Harold replied.
"Can we not contact them?" Jeremy asked.
"The communication was cut off. There is some energy in this barren land that cuts off the signals," Harold said.
Hearing that, Jeremy Night was shocked. He was hearing about this for the first time. He hadn’t known about the special energy before.
No wonder they found difficulties sometimes during missions.
"So we can only wait from now on," Jeremy said.
Harold nodded his head and said, "Yes, but don’t worry. We have emergency supplies here. Similar types of incidents have happened before."
"Okay," Jeremy replied.
He had nothing to do. He decided to go and walk around the place. Head Harold didn’t say anything against it.
Jeremy was not the only one doing that. There were other bored passengers wandering around as well.
