Chapter 1047 - 1046: Reflection
Yanran and Ba Lvluo glanced at each other and walked out of the drill team gate.
Outside the drill team, pedestrians continuously passed by. A few young girls were playing with skateboards by the roadside, and an elderly couple supported each other as they walked slowly.
A gentle breeze carried the scent of flowers, blowing through Yanran and Ba Lv’s long hair. Not far away, the grass was lush and green, the shadows of trees swayed gently. No matter who described this scene, they would have to admit that it’s a peaceful and serene world.
"You’re out!" Yanran and Ba Lvluo heard the voice they knew well and quickly turned their heads.
"Teacher! How come you’re here?" The two girls were extremely surprised.
They knew their teacher would find them here. That was not surprising. What was remarkable was that he was just waiting outside the drill team, seemingly unconcerned about them being inside, especially since they had just fought hard against their enemies.
Jiang Cheng appeared relaxed and smiled slightly, "Why wouldn’t I come here?" He led the way to a traffic spacecraft halted not far away. "Come on, we have some matters to handle."
Yanran and Ba Lv didn’t say much, quickly took a few steps to catch up to Jiang Cheng, and boarded the traffic spacecraft.
Jiang Cheng started the spacecraft, and Yanran and Ba Lv watched as the scenery outside quickly retreated. Ba Lv finally realized and exclaimed, "Teacher, are we heading to the gunboat now?"
Jiang Cheng nodded, "Yes, we are going there."
"But, we..." Ba Lv couldn’t continue and suddenly blurted out, "Teacher, are we in a hurry to die?"
Yanran let out a loud laugh, and even Jiang Cheng couldn’t help but chuckle. Ba Lv forced out a smile.
She was born in the Dark World and was an important figure in the Black Exhaust Group, yet she was a cold-blooded assassin who terrified many.
But, she still had a simple side.
However, she only showed this simple side before those she trusted, which indicated she was completely relaxed. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
That’s why she spoke without thinking, saying whatever crossed her mind.
This just confirmed the saying "Many words cause loss."
Yanran laughed and said, "Although I don’t know what we’re doing at the gunboat, I know we’re definitely not fleeing as you said." She turned to Jiang Cheng, "Teacher, am I right?"
Jiang Cheng nodded.
Ba Lvluo, unconvinced, said, "You say we’re not fleeing, so why are we rushing to the gun so urgently?"
She paused for a moment and continued, "Speaking of fighting, the three of us, even unarmed, are not afraid of those Delmar Planet trash, so why use a gunboat?"
Ba Lv wanted to speak further, but Yanran extended her hand to stop her. For a while, the two became a mess, and the spacecraft was filled with laughter.
Jiang Cheng continued to pilot the spacecraft, not stopping his two female disciples.
In truth, he enjoyed having them accompany him. He had always been alone in this world, free but sometimes inevitably lonely.
Being a strong man, he loathed loneliness but didn’t reject it. Sometimes, he even enjoyed it.
But, one cannot remain alone forever, right?
Now, with these two female disciples, he felt different.
These two disciples loved to talk, but they were very sensible. They brought Jiang Cheng joy without allowing him to feel bored. They were his disciples, but more often, they were his friends, good friends.
Thinking of this, Jiang Cheng couldn’t help but laugh at his thoughts. If one didn’t consider his appearance, who would know he was already a hundred-year-old "elder"?
After such a long passage of time, does someone his age still need friends?
Not so easily. Jiang Cheng gently shook his head.
He didn’t want his movements to be too obvious. Otherwise, those two young girls would ask why he shook his head, whether there was something troubling him that needed their guidance?
If they pursued him relentlessly, he’d be forced to flee, only then would they laugh and stop questioning.
Jiang Cheng restrained his mood, wanting to hear what Yanran had to say.
His female disciple was not only a rare sports prodigy with top-tier physical talents but also incredibly intelligent, nicknamed the "God" since childhood.
Yanran pondered for a moment, slowly analyzing, "Why are there no enemies outside the team, which differs greatly from our expectations? I think it’s all because of something you did, Teacher."
"Otherwise, the enemies would never let us escape so easily. They’ve invested a lot of effort, layering plans one after another. How could they let us escape without hindrance? Why would they give up easily?"
"So, it must be something you’ve done, Teacher! To that Shorty, or perhaps the highest leader of the team, maybe even their duplicity leader."
Yanran paused, organizing her thoughts, while Ba Lv beside her opened her eyes wide in wonder at Yanran’s analysis. Yanran’s reasoning was based on facts, not speculation, which Ba Lv deeply admired.
Yanran asked Jiang Cheng, "Teacher, am I right?"
Jiang Cheng nodded, "At least everything so far is correct. Can you continue?"
"Let me think." Yanran’s eyebrows furrowed as she resumed thinking.
"I’ll say, I’ll say. It’s my turn." Ba Lv waved her hand, interrupting Yanran’s thoughts. Yanran gently tapped her hand, "You can say it! But if it’s not good, watch how I deal with you!"
Jiang Cheng heard Yanran’s tone and couldn’t help but chuckle internally.
Long ago, in the Hua Family Country, there was a saying for Martial Arts and another for Jianghu. Back then, different styles of fists divided the realm into many sects, each with its own master, and accordingly, there were disciples.
Each master would have a first disciple whose position was always superior to other disciples. This first entry disciple was called the chief disciple, acting as a channel between the master and other disciples. In front of other disciples, they could be considered a partial master.
At least, they had the rights to substitute the master in supervising and even punishing the others in front of the other "830" disciples.
Earlier, Yanran’s tone towards Ba Lv, while filled with indulgence, also carried a slight threat, sounding very much like an ancient chief disciple.
Ba Lv heard Yanran’s words and responded with a mischievous face, then cleared her throat and slowly began to speak.
"First, I agree with Yanran; Teacher must have done something." Hearing this, Yanran stuck her tongue out at her, but Ba Lv ignored it and continued.
