The Blue Fatty System was on the verge of tears. ’What kind of trashy host is this? She’s always smacking my butt.’ 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎

But this interaction between the human and the System was completely misunderstood by the few Beastman Warriors up ahead.

They couldn’t help but shudder, clapping both hands over their butts.

Then, sympathetic glances darted toward Yuan Lang, who was beside them.

’Their leader’s tastes were pretty intense. Could he really handle a little female who’d smack a mighty Beastman Warrior’s butt at the drop of a hat?’

At their side, Yuan Lang lifted his chin, forcing himself to look like he was totally into that sort of thing.

He then sidled up to Wu Yue and asked, "Is there anything we can do?"

Wu Yue glanced at the baskets on their backs. "Isn’t picking mushrooms a perfectly good job?"

Yuan Lang wrinkled his handsome face. "This kind of rough work... it isn’t something handsome Beastman Warriors like us should be doing, is it?"

Wu Yue gave him a deadpan look. ’Is he completely delusional about himself?’

She leaned closer to Yuan Lang, her eyes crinkling into a smile. "Every time you finish bathing, do you look at yourself and think you’re especially tall and handsome?"

Yuan Lang brushed the hair from his forehead. "How did you know? Have you finally succumbed to my charms?"

Wu Yue chuckled drily. "Because your brain is full of water."

Yuan Lang retorted, "Don’t think for a second I don’t know you’re insulting me."

"CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK! CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK!" Just as the two were bickering, an unusually familiar sound came from the bushes beside them.

They exchanged a look. Wu Yue said, "That was a chicken, wasn’t it?"

Yuan Lang hesitated for a moment before replying, "I think so."

Wu Yue lifted her chin, expertly ordering the Beastman Warrior around. "What are you waiting for? Part the bushes and take a look."

Fate works in mysterious ways. The moment Yuan Lang parted the bushes and they both peeked through, their eyes met with a pair of beady chicken eyes.

The coloration, the size... Ahem, well, the size was a bit different. After all, Wu Yue had never seen a hen this big before.

"It’s a chicken."

"Should we take it back?"

Wu Yue’s eyes twinkled as she looked at Yuan Lang, her gaze shining. "As powerful Beastman Warriors, how could you possibly be satisfied with just gathering mushrooms?"

She pointed a small hand toward the hen that was diligently foraging in the bushes. "You should be hunting, of course."

The corner of Yuan Lang’s eye twitched. "You call this hunting?"

His own well-defined finger also pointed at the hen.

The hen, which had been looking for food, looked up at the two fingers pointing at it. "CLUCK CLUCK CLUCK!"

’Freaking hell, is it polite to point at someone like that?’

Whether it was polite or not was unknown, but when the powerful Beastman Warriors emerged from the bushes covered in chicken feathers, they just felt that this prey—barely a mouthful—had been very impolite to them.

Yuan Lang stared at the chicken droppings on his Beast Skin boots, his handsome face so dark it could have dripped ink.

’What was wrong with my brain just now? Did it short-circuit? How could I have agreed to catch chickens for the little female? And she wanted them alive?’

’Isn’t picking mushrooms a perfectly good job?’

One of his companions at his side grabbed a chicken and was about to put it in his basket when, with a faint CRACK, the chicken in his hands went limp.

Yuan Lang’s face was pitch-black as he looked at him. "Can’t you be a little more... gen-tle?"

The Beastman looked utterly baffled. "What’s ’gen-tle’?"

Teng Qian clapped the Beastman on the shoulder with a profound expression. "He means be lighter. A chicken’s neck is only so thin. If you use your brute strength on it, how is it supposed to live?"

The Beastman awkwardly scratched the back of his head. "Well... I was already being very careful."

Teng Qian looked at him with disdain. "When you have your own little cub someday, are you going to hold it with that much force? A tiny, soft little cub... one squeeze with your strength and CRACK..."

He stuck out his tongue and rolled his eyes back. "Gone."

The Beastman Warrior’s face paled. "N-No way."

After hearing that damn Teng Qian’s words, he could almost see the tragic future awaiting his own cub.

Teng Qian nodded seriously. "A Father’s training starts with the little things."

The Beastman Warrior looked skeptically at Yuan Lang. "Boss, I’ll listen to you."

That guy Teng Qian was just too unreliable.

Yuan Lang glanced at the little female in the distance, then at the dead chickens in Teng Qian’s basket, and nodded solemnly. "Mm, Teng Qian isn’t the type to fool his brothers."

Teng Qian looked at his boss, completely disillusioned. ’You must have some serious misunderstanding about me.’

Yuan Lang smiled, his eyes narrowing, and silently mouthed the next part to Teng Qian: "When you start tricking your brothers, you’re not human at all."

Teng Qian’s expression froze. He decisively turned his head away and pretended to get serious about catching chickens.

A moment later, his eyes suddenly lit up. ’But I’m not a human right now anyway! I’m a tiger!’

’A mighty and domineering Snow Tiger Beastman Warrior!’

"CLUCK CLUCK, come on now, Father loves you! Come into Father’s basket!"

Teng Qian, having just reaffirmed his identity, didn’t even have time to feel smug before the Beastman Warrior he’d just tricked cooed the same line to a large rooster.

It nearly made him cringe out of his skin.

Looking at the way the big rooster was staring up at his brother, its beady black eyes seemed to convey a single message: ’Is there something seriously wrong with you?’

The slaves gathered mushrooms quickly, and with several people to a basket, they were soon filled.

Wu Yue gathered everyone together, teaching them how to identify the mushrooms while separating out the poisonous ones.

Seeing that there were only a few poisonous ones, Wu Yue felt quite pleased. Today’s harvest had been a great success.

"Alright, that’s all for today’s gathering. We’ll head back for lunch, and this afternoon, I’ll teach you how to process these mushrooms.

You all rest for a bit. I’m going to check on the Beastman Warriors."

With that, she turned and walked in the direction of Yuan Lang and his men.

When she saw the Beastman Warriors, each with their butt in the air while clucking like chickens, Wu Yue felt her illusions shatter a little.

Nearby, Yuan Lang, who was holding several chickens, was even more disillusioned. ’Can anyone tell me why the elite Beastman Warriors I’ve spent so long training are all behaving like this?’

’Could it be that my training methods are wrong?’

Wu Yue walked up to Yuan Lang, glanced at the chickens in his basket and in his hands, and said with a look of admiration, "As expected of powerful Beastman Warriors. You’re truly amazing."

Yuan Lang lifted his chin, his expression full of pride. "Even when I wasn’t a Beastman Warrior, I was an invincible Great General."

Wu Yue nodded. "You’re incredible, you’re incredible!"

The Beastman Warriors, now addicted to catching chickens, were quite reluctant when Yuan Lang dragged them out of the bushes. They even made plans to come back and catch more another day.

After leading the slaves back to her small courtyard and teaching them how to wash and process the mushrooms, Wu Yue began directing the Beastman Warriors to build a chicken coop.

Although that guy Teng Qian was a smooth-talker, he was very reliable when it came to certain things.

She had only just put him in charge of the chicken coop, and he was already leading two other Beastman Warriors away to gather materials.
