Behind him, killing intent exploded from the Shun Yuan.

A few Fierce Beasts caught in the crossfire of their battle didn’t even have time to flee before the Shun Yuan Leader’s massive foot swept them aside. It kicked them more than ten meters away, and their flight only ended when they slammed into a large tree.

All that remained were their corpses.

The Fierce Beasts scattering about provided excellent cover for Yuan Lang. Weaving through the Fierce Beast Group, he continuously dodged and fled, managing to evade the Shun Yuan Leader’s grasp for the moment. The leader could only vent its rage on the surrounding beasts.

Yuan Lang couldn’t help but give a wry smile. ’If I can get out of this alive,’ he thought, ’I could probably collect a ton of Crystal Cores just from these Fierce Beast corpses.’

But there are always those who will try to fish in troubled waters. Perhaps seeing that the Shun Yuan Leader hadn’t spotted Yuan Lang, a few nearby Fierce Beasts decided to try and score a quick meal.

Growling, they began to encircle him.

"You’re asking to die!"

Yuan Lang’s voice was chilling as he looked at the Fierce Beasts closing in. Claws extended from his palms, carving sharp arcs through the air.

A few shrill cries echoed through the air, followed by a series of THUDS. In an instant, the Fierce Beasts that had been hoping for a feast were nothing but corpses.

Just as he was about to look for another chance to strike the Shun Yuan Leader, another immense aura erupted from behind him. This presence was definitely a notch stronger than even the Shun Yuan Leader’s.

In a flash, he leaped into a large tree. The smaller Fierce Beasts in the area had all vanished.

From there, he finally got a clear look at the massive figure confronting the Shun Yuan Leader. It was a giant black python.

When he saw the cave behind the python, he finally understood why it had come out to face the Shun Yuan. In its rampage, the Shun Yuan Leader had just smashed the python’s lair.

The python, whose lair had just been destroyed, was in no mood to tolerate the Shun Yuan Leader’s foul temper. With a flick of its long tail, it lashed out at the obnoxious ape across from it. A battle was about to erupt.

The python had been deep in slumber when its cave came crashing down, waking it up. For a moment, it was completely dumbfounded.

The python, which was known for its foul temper upon waking, had just received the most un-peaceful wake-up call imaginable. Its rage instantly shot up several levels.

’What was there to even say? Someone had come knocking, smashed my home, and was now just screaming its head off.’

’I can’t understand a word it’s saying, but judging by that arrogant ROAR ROAR ROAR, it definitely isn’t here to apologize.’

’Am I just supposed to take this crap?’

’Fuck it, I’m taking it down!’

’That little ape looks so filthy,’ the python thought with some disdain. ’You’re a female, and you look like *that*? Who are you trying to scare?’

The Shun Yuan Leader, of course, was oblivious to the python’s colorful inner monologue. It only thought, ’Any beast that stops me from catching that little male is a bad beast.’

It immediately let out an angry ROAR ROAR ROAR and attacked with a foul kick.

’I don’t know if the stench killed that little worm, but I definitely took a few hits myself.’

’Damn, that actually hurt...’

And so, while the actual target sat in a tree spectating the show, the two unintended combatants were locked in a furious battle.

One would lash out with its tail, the other would answer with a kick. Neither was gaining any advantage.

The Shun Yuan Leader was whipped until it looked a size fatter, and the python, too, seemed to have gotten thicker.

What was that saying again? ’I’m not fat, I’m just swollen from all the hits.’

Although Yuan Lang’s attention was on the two beasts’ battlefield, he was focused more on the Shun Yuan Leader.

As the fight dragged on, the Shun Yuan Leader’s movements grew increasingly stiff. Several times, it even staggered on its feet.

Hidden in the tree, Yuan Lang’s deep eyes suddenly brightened. ’Looks like the poison is starting to take effect.’

Just as he expected, the Shun Yuan Leader, which had been evenly matched with the python, grew more and more clumsy. It even started shaking its massive head from time to time.

’I slept fine last night, and I didn’t drink any bad booze... so why am I so dizzy?’

The intense battle had accelerated the spread of the poison through its body. Even a creature as powerful as the Shun Yuan Leader finally collapsed under the combined assault of the python and the toxin.

At that thought, it instantly felt incredibly badass. It slithered its body smugly toward the prone form of the little ape.

It extended the tip of its tail and poked the heavily panting ape. "Ssss~"

’Weren’t you so tough just now? Get up! Let’s fight another three hundred rounds!’

The Shun Yuan Leader bared its fangs. "ROAR!"
