Around midnight, a rustling sound suddenly came from outside the cave. Wu Yue’s eyes snapped open, and she could feel her witch power gathering within her.

"Host?" A familiar voice called from outside. She let out a sigh of relief. It was the System’s voice.

Getting up and walking to the mouth of the cave, she saw the System, dripping wet, squeezing its way inside with several equally drenched little Blue Fatties.

After shaking its fur dry, the System thoughtfully pulled some hay from Wu Yue’s pallet, fashioned it into a small nest, and dragged it over by the fire.

It wiggled its chubby little bottom until it found a comfortable position, then sat down.

The little Blue Fatties beside it saw this and followed suit. In just a moment, a chunk of Wu Yue’s hay pallet was gone.

Watching the Blue Fatties huddled in a circle to warm themselves by the fire, Wu Yue felt the corner of her mouth twitch uncontrollably.

The System shot a sly glance at the two pale-faced Beastman Warriors. "Host, are these the two who tricked you into coming here?"

Wu Yue deadpanned, "What do you mean, ’tricked’? They went so far as to use hair dye to abduct me. How was I supposed to see through such a professional disguise?"

The System chuckled and quickly introduced the little Blue Fatties cowering to one side. "Host, these are the Salt Crystal Beasts you asked me to find."

With that, it puffed out its little chest. "I put them all through a thorough evaluation. These are the best of the best among the Salt Crystal Beasts. Just give them the order, Host, and they’ll do a fantastic job."

Wu Yue nodded, pulled a few chunks of salt ore from her storage space, and tossed them to the Salt Crystal Beasts. "We’ll be needing them a lot from now on."

Then, she turned to the two beastmen. "I was pretending to be asleep earlier, and I heard them say they sent a ’bug’ out. More beastmen should be on their way soon. I want to deal with them all at once so I can go back and wait out the long rainy season in peace."

The System raised a small front paw to pick its nostril. "See? This just proves you can’t live without this System. I was barely gone, and you already got yourself kidnapped. *Sigh*~"

Wu Yue laughed dryly. "Oh, well, I guess I should thank you then!"

The System chuckled and scratched its head. "You’re welcome, you’re welcome! We’re all family here."

Wu Yue looked at the utterly shameless System, feeling an unparalleled level of disgust.

While the two were talking, the remaining little Blue Fatties had already flopped onto their backs and started snoring. Their little mouths hung open, and some were even drooling.

"You can go back to meditating, Host. I’ll take care of things from here."

Wu Yue nodded, smoothed out the torn section of her hay pallet, and once again entered a state of meditation.

While the human and the System leisurely warmed themselves by the fire and cultivated, they had no idea that the Snow Tiger Tribe had been thrown into a panic by her disappearance.

Qingcao finished helping her family move their belongings, then took care of arranging living quarters for the slaves.

Thanks to Wu Yue’s prior instructions, the tribespeople didn’t put up much resistance to the slaves moving into the caves.

Once everything was arranged, she cheerfully made her way to Wu Yue’s cave.

Moving into the main caves meant they just had to wait for the long rainy season to pass. They wouldn’t need to gather or process food, so they would have a lot of free time.

So, she decided to find Wu Yue’s cave to make it easier to visit her later.

She asked for directions from tribespeople along the way, but when she arrived at Wu Yue’s cave, she found it cold and deserted. It didn’t look lived in at all, and she couldn’t help but feel confused.

’That doesn’t make sense. Yue came to the main caves even earlier than I did, and she had two Beastman Warriors to help her...’

Suddenly, her eyes flew wide. As she recalled the two Beastman Warriors who had supposedly just gained their forms, panic flooded her heart.

She spun around and ran toward the Clan Leader’s cave.

The Clan Leader, like his fellow tribespeople, was tidying up his cave when a chubby figure rushed in from outside.

"Clan Leader, Yue... Something’s happened to Yue!" 𝙧𝙚𝙚𝔀𝒆𝓫𝓷𝙤𝓿𝒆𝙡.𝒄𝙤𝓶

Qingcao’s words made the Clan Leader swallow his question. His heart clenched, and he strode forward. "What happened?"

Qingcao was so worried that the rims of her eyes began to turn red. "Today, Wu Yue and I were packing things at her home when two Beastman Warriors came in..."

She quickly recounted what had happened that afternoon.

The Clan Leader’s expression grew heavier the more he listened. Finally, he turned and headed straight for the witch’s cave. "I’m going to ask the witch if they sent any Beastman Warriors to help Wu Yue move her things."

Hearing this, Qingcao quickly followed the Clan Leader out of the cave.

The witch was currently sitting leisurely at the entrance of his cave, warming himself by a fire, while two Half beastman Warriors tidied up the cave for him inside.
