The hearts of the Clan Leader and Qingcao sank.

The Snow Tiger Witch looked at them. "What happened? Is Wu Yue in trouble?"

The Clan Leader had no choice but to tell the Witch what Qingcao had reported.

Upon hearing this, the Witch’s expression instantly darkened. She turned to Qingcao. "Are you sure they were Beastman Warriors from our tribe?"

Qingcao frowned. "I’ve never seen them before, but they said they had just transformed. Most importantly, their hair color was the same as our tribe’s Beastman Warriors."

The Witch and the Clan Leader frowned at her words. The females of the tribe couldn’t distinguish their own Beastman Warriors from outsiders by scent; hair color was their only marker.

But where on earth could these two Beastmen, with the hair color of Snow Tiger Beastmen, have come from?

The Witch turned to Qingcao. "Qingcao, you should go back for now. Don’t wander off."

Qingcao pressed her lips together at the command, but knowing she couldn’t do anything to help, she could only clench her fists and turn to leave.

"Witch, I’ll gather the tribe’s Beastmen and start a search party right away."

The Snow Tiger Witch nodded. "Take half of the Beastman Warriors. That will be enough. The remaining Beastmen and Half beastman Warriors will stay to protect the tribe.

According to Qingcao, it started raining not long after they left. With a downpour this heavy, they can’t have gotten far. They’re probably hiding somewhere to take shelter from the rain. You must search thoroughly."

With that, he turned and left. After gathering the tribe’s Beastman Warriors, he led them out of the main cave and into the rainy night.

Meanwhile, with Wu Yue, the two Beastmen finally woke up around dawn.

One of the Beastmen groggily opened his eyes, only to see his companion beside him still drooling, his face pale from the cold night.

Remembering how his partner had promised to wake him for his turn after a short nap, he was suddenly furious. He slapped his companion awake. "You’re sleeping like a dead Wild Boar Beast."

The slap to his head was hard enough to wake the dead. The other beastman yelped in pain as his eyes flew open.

"Who just hit me?"

The first Beastman sneered. "Me, of course. Who else did you think it was?"

After a cold snort, he turned to look in Wu Yue’s direction, only to see a circle of plump little creatures huddled around the fire they had lit the night before.

Seeing the rolls of fat on their bodies and remembering the roasted meat from the day before, the Beastman’s mouth instantly began to water. He stood up, ready to grab one to roast and eat.

Just then, his companion exclaimed in surprise, "Where did all these little beasts come from? Didn’t the little female sprinkle that powder at the cave entrance last night?"

The first Beastman shot him a look. "Maybe this powder doesn’t work on them. Stop wasting your breath and help me catch one to roast. Otherwise, we’ll have to go hunting in the rain later."

His companion thought that made sense, so he immediately stood up, ready to help the other beastman catch one of the creatures.

"What are you doing?"

The System had already notified Wu Yue the moment the two Beastmen woke up.

Seeing their obvious ill intent toward the Salt Crystal Beasts, she could no longer remain silent.

Hearing the little female’s voice, the two Beastmen immediately looked over. "It must have been too cold last night, so all these little beasts came into the cave. We’ll just catch and roast a few, and that should be enough food for today."
