The whole dimension began to tremble in the next moment, so Luke could tell that the enemy was about to finish him once and for all. He saw something like a purple sun appearing way above him, and then the sun began to grow in size... Before it fired a massive energy Cannon toward him.

Luke saw his life passing in front of his eyes, but in the end, he managed to summon a crystal from his own vault and absorb it. Thanks to it, he was able to transport himself there. Still, he only had a couple of seconds to return.

"Shit... This is a pain," Luke thought.

Soul Eater’s sword won’t work against the dark energy, so Luke had to think of something else. In any case, once he calmed down a bit, he used another crystal to buy more time, and he also used an essence sword on Aivern, making him recover a great deal of power. Still, he knew that just power alone wouldn’t be enough.

"I know now why this asshole failed so many times... I suppose he had some time to learn how to use dark energy, meanwhile, I am only alive thanks to this book," Luke thought.

In any case, the purple sphere couldn’t use mana, so Luke was safe for the time being and could heal himself. Still, he needed to learn how to control that energy more effectively. The enemy only used it to destroy, but since Aivern escaped when he couldn’t use mana, it means that it was a bit volatile. Luke did some training in his dimension, but he failed at obtaining any result... It was weird, though. Since he could use it for defense purposes and to enhance his body, he should be able to control it more freely.

Regardless, Luke used Clairvoyance to find a place outside where he would be safe. Just waiting there wouldn’t solve anything. He knew that he was someone who needed to be put against the wall to overcome his adversity after all.

Luke tried to appear as fast as possible from the enemy, and while he appeared around one hundred kilometers away, he still felt the eyes of the monster on him. That was its dimension, after all. Aside from dark thoughts, nothing was supposed to be there. So, sensing anything coming or around was supposed to be easy. Still, the monster couldn’t do anything since it had just used a world-destroying attack.

"Get angry and let the energy come in... And think of ways to use this better, you dumbass," Luke muttered. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢

Although the purple sphere didn’t attack, other shadows appeared, and they had the shape of the armored gorilius. While jumping from platform to platform, they approached Luke, and then at the last moment, they charged with all their might and opened their arms... they wanted to grab him to make Luke an easier target for their master.

Luke turned around and then used Flying Kick, making the head of one of them explode when he landed. He also used the body of the shadow that was crumbling to change his direction and then land another flying kick on another enemy. That worked for a while until the purple sphere began to bother Luke again.

"Let’s see if that can work..." Luke thought and summoned a sword made of yang energy.

Luke blocked the upcoming beam of energy with his weapon, but he still was pushed downward easily. Fortunately, his energy got strong enough to withstand those quick beams. That made Luke smirk since he also absorbed the enemy attack, but the monster didn’t like that.

The dimension began to tremble again, and while Luke prepared for another big attack, the purple sphere only made that to grow stronger and larger. That will never end... After thinking for a while, Luke had an idea. It was a bit risky, but it was the only thing he could do now.

The next beam of energy grew in size, power, and speed almost comparably with the size of the monster. Still, Luke used his sword to block the attack, but he didn’t do only that. While he was being pushed backward, he used space magic to send some of the energy to his dimension. Despite there being his domain, the shadows also began to corrupt the place. Until Luke covered it with his mana and then sealed it in a crystal. Although Luke didn’t use much, he still accomplished that and made him frown.

"I suppose this is one way to seal the energy, but... How much mana will I need to seal all of the energy produced by dark thoughts during who knows how many eons?" Luke wondered.

At least the current Luke couldn’t do that in his lifetime... Still, he had an idea. He absorbed with mana crystal with the dark energy and felt his power increasing again. He didn’t suffer any damage this time, but his mind was still getting hazy.

"If I can obtain more power by absorbing the dark energy, then does that mean that the lost voices had planned to make me get all the energy without losing my mind?" Luke thought. "I am certainly the wrong person for this job. I am anything but a calm person."

Still, Luke kept deploying that strategy in the hope that eventually, he would come up with a way to deal with that... He didn’t, and while his dark power was growing powerful, the enemy was also getting even more power. As if the limits of that thing’s power don’t exist.

It didn’t take long, and Luke lost his mind since he didn’t have the chance to adjust the dark energy that he had gathered. In the end, the purple sphere surrounded him with shadow armored gorilius. While Luke was busy dealing with them, the purple sphere created another planet-sized sphere of dark energy and then fired a massive beam toward him. At the last moment, acting purely by instinct and rage, he pointed both arms toward it.
