Teasing Her Beast Husbands Until They Fall Hard
Chapter 25: Meeting a Big Shot After Getting Lost
Su Yaoyao’s mind was a tangled mess. She subconsciously tugged at her hair, each pull laced with frustration and anxiety.
The image of Pani’s shamed and indignant expression kept flashing through her mind, filling her with an urgent need to make up for her mistake.
’That’s right, I have to find him and apologize in person!’
Determination instantly filled Su Yaoyao’s eyes. She didn’t bother to fix her slightly messy hair, hastily getting into her smart wheelchair and quickly heading out the door.
Along the way, male soldiers continuously cast friendly gazes in her direction.
"Good afternoon, Honored Female!" the soldiers smiled, greeting her politely.
A few of them, young soldiers, blushed involuntarily as they greeted her, asking nervously and shyly, "Honored Female, do you need any help?"
Su Yaoyao always returned their greetings with a gentle smile and said softly, "I’m fine, but thank you for your kind offer."
She thought to herself, ’An apology is best done in private. If too many people knew, it wouldn’t just be me; Pani would be even more embarrassed.’
Besides, Bai Lian had given her a detailed tour of the base before, so she was confident she remembered the location of the medical department. As a military doctor, Pani was sure to be there.
However, the base’s intricate and complex routes still managed to get Su Yaoyao lost.
She went around in circles through one similar-looking corridor after another, and the flashing, high-tech lights around her began to seem harsh.
Fine beads of sweat gradually formed on her forehead, her eyes filled with confusion and helplessness.
Just as she was anxiously at a loss for what to do, a room with a half-open door appeared in her line of sight.
Feeling as if she’d seen a glimmer of hope, Su Yaoyao quickly steered her wheelchair inside.
The first thing she saw was an oval conference table, with chairs neatly arranged around it.
Directly ahead, a massive holographic screen floated in mid-air, dynamically displaying a complex interstellar route map. The flashing points of light represented different planetary coordinates, while lines connected them like invisible threads.
"Looks like a conference room," Su Yaoyao muttered under her breath.
In the very center of the room, a bust floated in the air, emitting a soft blue glow.
The bust was of a man with deep-set eyes, a high-bridged nose, and thin lips pressed slightly together, giving him an air of natural authority.
Deeply captivated by the bust’s handsome and unique appearance, Su Yaoyao reached out her small hand and gently touched it, as if on a strange impulse.
In an instant, the base of the bust erupted with an intense blue light, so bright that Su Yaoyao had to squint.
Before she could recover from this sudden development, the bust’s exquisite face appeared before her as a virtual projection.
"What is your report?" A deep, magnetic voice echoed through the conference room, carrying the unquestionable authority of a superior.
In a distant, resplendent palace, His Majesty the Emperor, dressed in magnificent attire, was seated upon a throne inlaid with countless jewels. Behind him, a massive crystal chandelier emitted a dazzling light, and everything around him highlighted his noble status.
He looked at the projected image of the empty conference room, his brow furrowed instantly, a flash of displeasure in his eyes.
Just then, his gaze shifted downward, and he finally saw Su Yaoyao, sitting in her smart wheelchair with a panicked and awkward expression.
Su Yaoyao was so embarrassed her cheeks were burning, and she wrung her hands anxiously. She had no idea what switch she had triggered, much less who this man—dressed in ornate clothes, covered in gems, and set against an incredibly luxurious background—could possibly be.
After hesitating for a good while, she finally braced herself and stammered, "Hi... hello..." Her voice was as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, barely audible in the spacious conference room.
A flicker of surprise crossed Augustine’s eyes, but it was gone in an instant. He mimicked the little human female’s way of greeting.
"Hi, hello." His deep, rich voice was a stark contrast to her delicate, soft tone.
Su Yaoyao was stunned for a moment. She hadn’t expected this seemingly aloof man to respond in kind, and her nervousness eased slightly.
She took a deep breath and said slowly, "Um... I think I must have accidentally touched the communication switch."
Augustine watched Su Yaoyao’s cautious and guilt-ridden expression, and his curiosity grew even stronger.
He raised his hand slightly, motioning for her not to be so nervous. "It’s fine," he said. "From the looks of it, you didn’t mean to barge into the conference room?"
Su Yaoyao swallowed nervously, her hands gripping the armrests of her wheelchair tightly as she said haltingly,
"I... I was trying to get to the medical department to find Pani, but I got lost and accidentally came in here. I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to touch anything."
As she spoke, the rims of her eyes reddened, and she looked as if she was about to cry, terrified that she had gotten into serious trouble.
Looking at the flustered and uneasy little female before him, Augustine felt a strange surge of tenderness.
His expression softened, and his voice unconsciously grew gentler. 𝗳𝚛𝚎𝚎𝘄𝕖𝕓𝕟𝕠𝚟𝚎𝕝.𝗰𝕠𝐦
"Don’t cry. I, the Em... I believe you didn’t do it on purpose. This base has a complex layout; it’s normal to get lost.
Since it was an honest mistake, you won’t be held responsible. It’s just that this conference room involves many classified matters, so you must be more careful next time."
Su Yaoyao nodded profusely. "I understand. I’ll leave right now." As she spoke, she frantically tried to operate her smart wheelchair to turn around and leave.
"Hold on." Augustine’s commanding tone instantly made Su Yaoyao freeze on the spot.
"Do you know where the medical department is?"
"I... I..."
Su Yaoyao scratched her cheek in embarrassment. She had been so confident before, but the reality was...
’Still, I should leave this awkward place first. I can take my time looking for it once I’m out. I’ll find it eventually.’
Augustine raised a hand to his lips and let out a soft chuckle.
’The little human female really is adorably dense.’
"I’ll send you the coordinates for the medical department, but I’ll need to add you as a Light Computer contact first."
Su Yaoyao’s eyes lit up. She looked at Augustine gratefully. "Thank you, big shot!"
’I don’t know who this man is, but he’s clearly someone important. Calling him ’big shot’ can’t be wrong.’
Augustine raised an eyebrow slightly, a glint of amusement in his eyes. ’Big shot? That title isn’t half bad.’
Su Yaoyao’s small hand touched the necklace around her neck, opening her Light Computer.
Suddenly, a video of an extremely provocative dance popped up on the screen without any warning.
At the same time, Lucy’s breathy moans echoed clearly from the Light Computer’s speakers, filling the conference room that had been so quiet you could only hear breathing.
Su Yaoyao’s face instantly flushed beet red. She fumbled to close the video, but her fingers were trembling too much from nervousness to obey, and her repeated taps failed to work.
Augustine, on the other hand, stared at the screen with great interest. ’So the little female is into this sort of thing.’
He looked down at his own ornate and complex attire. ’Am I perhaps wearing a bit too much?’
