The Assassin's Redemption: A Princess's Journey to Forgiveness
Chapter 178: Cost Of Spilling Royal Blood
Countless bodies lay on the ship as Alexander crazily swung his sword, each of his attack precise. Contrary to the Crescians, not even a strand of his hair was out of place. He was skillfully executing his attacks, a proof of unparalleled swordsmanship. This angered Griffin to the core. More and more Crescian knights were boarding the ship that Alexander was in, emerging from the waters like mermaids. Alexander was certain these were Griffin’s elite men. They were trained to survive in the harshest of conditions, even underwater! His men had been reduced significantly and chaos had already ensued in the backup ships. Unless reinforcements came from the capital now, they’d die if not stay here forever. He slashed an incoming Crescian knight effortlessly and dodged another attack that almost got his hair cut. Angrily, he slit the knight for attempting something stupid. Countless bodies of both Crescians and Valorians lay on the ship, the smell of fresh blood replacing the cool breeze of the sea. The once clear waters had turned scarlet with floating bodies scattered everywhere. Alexander suddenly felt the urge to kill everyone. He was craving for more blood now that it somehow scared him! Running his fingers through the edge of his sword, he effortlessly dodged an incoming attack before slicing the attacker into two pieces. He had never killed anywhere else like that before but it felt too good. Ripping organs apart suddenly turned to a hobby. He gave the Crescians the most gruesome deaths ever! "Argh!" Griffin cursed. His men had significantly died leaving only a few countable and the most formidable ones. It was time to test Alexander’s strength. He smirked at that. "You two," he said turning to a pair of twins crazily licking their knives. One had a pin on his nose and had daggers all over his body while the other had short hand swords and a Mohawk hair style. "Bring me his head!" He ordered. Having him alive was not a good idea right now. He had seen how mercilessly his men had been butchered. "Is that all you got?" Alexander roared slicing the last Crescian on board. Gods! He was dying for more blood. This feeling! He looked at his hands and his nails had elongated piercing through his palm yet he felt nothing. Blood was dripping down his hand at the tightened grip of his sword, his long nails sinking deeper in his flesh. Unbeknownst to him, his eyes had turned a vivid red. He turned around and saw two people materialize in front of him. He could feel their aura. At least this was what he wanted, someone strong and formidable. The twins lurged at him simultaneously giving him no time to react but his reflexes were quick. He almost lost balance evading a slash that flew inches closer to his face. That was close! The twins didn’t give him the luxury to compose himself, even materializing behind him. Alexander blocked the attack effortlessly but the other guy had already made his move making him react a second late. Blood was dripping down, his own blood! Who had the guts to hurt him? He looked over his shoulder and saw a flesh wound. This was serious now! No one spills Royal blood and goes scot free. He lifted his gaze, his eyes burning red that it scared the twins. Was the guy human? He dropped his sword on the wooden floor making the twins gasp in surprise. He had the longest nails they could ever imagine. Was he going to attack them, with bare hands at that? Then he had made the job easier for them, right?Wrong! One of the twins charged at him but ended up dropping his sword as he looked at Alexander with a pained expression. A pool of blood formed on his feet before Alexander threw him down, lifeless! In his hands he was holding a beating heart! Anger built in the other twin’s being on seeing what Alexander had done to his brother. He let out a scream before launching his attack towards an unmoving Alexander who smiled sinisterly at that. He looked like the devil himself. Not an ounce of humanity could be seen in his bloody red eyes. The other twin received an even more gruesome treatment. Alexander held his sword with his long nails and drove his other hand through his belly. And as if that was not enough, he twisted his nails inside before ripping his whole stomach and intestines apart. The twin lay next to his brother in a pool of blood. "Damn it!" Griffin cursed. Only one person had been left standing beside him now. And as if Alexander had noticed his presence, his gaze shifted towards the forest, their eyes locking. Griffin swallowed gazing into those devilish eyes. It was like Alexander was wishing him death by just staring at him. He needed to run or else! Who knew what the devil might do to him. He needed reinforcements, badly at that! He had underestimated the devil! How ironic! "I don’t like his eyes at all," he said without breaking contact with Alexander. "Go and kill him!" He sent his last man. Of course he was not foolish to stand and have hopes of Alexander getting defeated. Running was the option he had now. He clapped twice calling his horse, something that didn’t go unnoticed by Alexander. He narrowed his gaze at his target, his instincts heightening. He needed to end this bastard’s life once and for all. Only then could he feel content. "Holy cow!" The knight exclaimed looking at the direction of the sea. Griffin craned his neck gasping in surprise at what he saw. Even his horse galloped in fear almost bringing him down. Alexander was literally running on water headed to Griffin’s direction. "Go! Go! Go!" He clapped his horse charging murderously into the woods. The knight left behind stood there shaking in fear. He had seen Alexander kill all his counterparts mercilessly and dying was not on his wish list. But what would that make him? A coward! Crescians were proud beings! Would Alexander spare him though? He had no other choice but to fight for his life.
