Kalel’s hands tightened into fists. This is why he took Drea’s place. His father has been threatening him, it’s clear from their short interaction that he is abusive.

He looked at A-Xuan’s reluctant eyes on the screen. Does he not want to involve him because he doesn’t want to lie or because he just doesn’t want anything to do with him?

No matter what it is he’s not letting him go. He closed his computer and looked up when he heard a knock.

"Come in."

A-Xuan entered and said:

"I’m sorry to bother you, I just wanted to introduce you to my father."

Kalel smiled at him and waved them to sit.

"Kalel this is Lex, my father."

Lex reached out his hand but pulled it back when he saw that Kalel had no intention to shake it. He coughed and said:

"Thank you so much for letting my son stay here."

Kalel looked at A-Xuan smiling and said:

"It’s my pleasure I like spending time with him."

A-Xuan’s eyes softened. The rumor that Kalel always says what he thinks is indeed true, I like it.

Kalel’s heartbeat quickened when he saw his soft eyes. How can someone I met 10 days ago have this much impact on me?

But that’s the thing he feels like they’ve met before when they haven’t.

Lex looked at Kalel’s fixed gaze on his son thoughtfully. Seems like he truly likes him. Kalel looked at Lex ordering:

"I bought a piano for him, he’ll come every day after school to play for me."

It was an order and Lex had no say. He felt it too but he was too happy about A-Xuan having an in with Kalel to think about it.

He smiled wide.

"Of course, it’s no problem. That’s what he does when he comes back from school anyway so he might as well do it here."

A-Xuan looked down not saying anything and Lex felt like shaking him. He honestly can’t understand what Kalel sees in him.

Kalel asked gently looking at A-Xuan:

"Do you mind?"

A-Xuan looked up meeting his hopeful eyes. He can’t understand how he ever thought his husband was responsible for his suffering.

Even if he said it as an order he still asked for his permission. His blue eyes were gleaming with expectation and A-Xuan couldn’t stop himself from smiling.

He mused with a raised eyebrow.

"I’ll come, it’s my piano anyway right?" 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Kalel laughed and agreed:

"It is."

He looked at A-Xuan as if looking at the most precious thing. A-Xuan felt like he wanted to kill him. Husband, you can’t look at me like that.

Lex was starting to feel uncomfortable, he could feel some kind of tension between the two. Even a blind man would be able to see how much Kalel cares for his son.

If Kalel likes A-Xuan then once Drea comes back they can be together. Like that he’ll have the president of Grey Media as a son-in-law too.

With this turn of events, he feels grateful that Drea ran away.

"I wanted to ask if you could play the piano tomorrow night at the gala?"

A-Xuan asked:

"What do you want me to play?"

Kalel handed him a music sheet and looked at A-Xuan attentively to see his reaction.

A-Xuan scanned it and looked at Kalel, he looked nervous. A-Xuan swallowed and nodded, he appeared emotional.

Lex looked at the title memorizing it.

"I shouldn’t bother you any longer Mr. Grey it was nice to meet you."

He got up thinking he would say something but he didn’t. He only had eyes for his son who was looking at the music sheet.

He left and said:

"Son I’ll see you tomorrow."

He waited for his answer but when it never came even after a while he left cursing inwardly. He is still extremely happy he came today.

Now he knows how much Kalel cares for his son. You’ll have to get past me if you want him. His eyes flashed with intentions as he left.

Once Lex was gone A-Xuan left as well, he just didn’t want to have to talk to him.

He went into his suite carefully putting the music sheet next to his computer. He smiled caressing the title "Amour Eternel".

That partition was created by a famous pianist who died 20 years ago. He was married to a ger who died of illness 2 months after they met.

Even if he knew he didn’t have much time left in this world he wanted him to be his wife. After he died he took care of his funeral arrangement and followed him to the afterlife.

He wanted them to meet at the same time and have a long life together in their next one.

Over the years it became a hymn to love and being unable to live without your soulmate.

He smiled and looked at his computer. He hacked Kalel’s computer to find out how much he knows.

He’s sure he’s aware of the switcheroo and that he’s not the real Drea.

A-Xuan laughed when he saw that he was looking for his twin. Of course, he would never accept someone else laying a hand on him.

He already saw his frustration at the restaurant when Elwyn caressed his head. He doesn’t care he wants Elwyn to fall for him and it’s headed in the right direction.

That being said he would react the same way if someone did that to his husband...

Elwyn was in his office at Grey strategy working. He looked at his closed office door lost in thought.

He’s been confused those past 2 weeks. During their time in Hawaii, he realized that he knew nothing about A-Xuan before they got stuck in this arrangement.

After the first night, they coexisted in the house and got along pretty well. Even if he would lock himself in his room he would always eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner with him.

At first, it was in silence but over the days they would talk about their lives and the things they liked.

After the first week, he wouldn’t lock himself anymore and would even search for him in the house.

After more than 2 weeks with him, he feels closer to him and the need to protect him.

He knows how cold and self conscient he is and he doesn’t want to see him cry ever again. When he saw the way Kalel was looking at him he felt protective.

At first, he told himself it’s because he knows how unfeeling and cruel his cousin his but today when he saw the way he was looking at him he knew how much he cared for him and that he would never do anything to hurt A-Xuan.

As crazy as it is he felt like he was in love with A-Xuan. When he saw that he put him in the suite on the third floor he knew for sure that he indeed was.

The third floor is only reserved for him and he would lose it when someone went without his consent.

He felt anger when he saw A-Xuan hugging him. That’s why he didn’t leave directly. He followed them and saw the piano Kalel bought for him.

That piano is worth millions, it’s basically worth Grey strategy. The only thing he doesn’t know is if A-Xuan likes Kalel.

But why does it matter? I’m married to Drea and A-Xuan can be with whoever he wishes. Or maybe I can be with A-Xuan for real.

Elwyn closed his eyes for a few seconds and opened them. He smiled as his eyes flashed with determination.

A-Xuan spent the rest of the day working and had his dinner sent to his room. He checked the status of his request and smiled when he saw that it had been approved.

After doing some digging he found out that Lex built his hotel on a massive gravesite that dates more than 500 years ago.

The body buried there are the kinds that should be excavated and put in a museum.

A-Xuan checked with CF and saw that the people buried there were from a tribe who disappeared without leaving any trace.

Archaeologists have been looking for that lost tribe for decades but unfortunately, they’VE searched at the wrong place.

Now that he knows where it is he has to help them. One would say it’s my duty. A-Xuan checked CF and went down to the kitchen.

He opened the fridge and took out a bottle of water. When he closed the fridge he stepped back startled.

Kalel mused:

"Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you."

A-Xuan rolled his eyes putting the bottle of water on the kitchen island.

"I don’t believe you."

Kalel smiled, he put him on the kitchen island then looked in the cupboard for a glass and poured water into it. He handed it to A-Xuan with a smile.

A-Xuan smiled as he took it.

"Thank you."

He took a sip asking:

"Why are you up?"

Kalel put his hand in his pockets.

"I was looking for something, it took me longer than I thought."

A-Xuan inquired:

"So did you find it?"

Kalel approached him and put both of his hands at his sides.

His eyes flashed as he answered:

"I have."

A-Xuan chuckled at his silly husband. He knows what he has planned for tomorrow and he can’t wait for it.
