Yang An immediately felt goosebumps erupt all over his skin. An intense feeling of revulsion welled up within him, as if the one before him was not some kind-faced, benevolent Bodhisattva, but an unknown, indescribably filthy being.

Yang An did his best to suppress this strange feeling, keeping his expression impassive.

Soon, a faint cyan light descended from the towering Buddha statue above, landing upon him.

The aura was indeed identical to the one from the technique De Hou had used in Yan'an Temple; there was no difference at all.

However, to prevent any accidents, Yang An mentally prepared himself. He was ready to activate a Technique at any moment to fake the phenomena, since he couldn't control what would naturally appear.

However, when the faint cyan light enveloped him, just as he'd expected—and just like back in Celestial Buddha City—a torrent of phenomena erupted uncontrollably from within him, one after another.

In the blink of an eye, Yang An was once again enveloped by the illusions of two Buddha's Golden Bodies. His entire being radiated a pure Glazed Light, and a solemn, holy Light Wheel hovered behind him.

When these phenomena manifested around Yang An, another uproar instantly erupted in the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall.

"Great Brightness Buddha! And East Buddha! How can he have the residual True Buddha Nature of two different True Buddhas?

"And the Glazed Pure Light! As well as the Buddha's Wheel of Light Appearance! What's that? The Burning Finger Offering Buddha Country! It's the Burning Finger Offering Buddha Country Phenomenon!"

Qing Yuan was completely stupefied, his gaze fixed on the phenomena surrounding Yang An, his eyes filled with utter disbelief.

Even Saint Child Ming Hui, the reincarnated Bodhisattva standing behind him, looked at Yang An, then back at his own phenomena, and was suddenly overwhelmed with shame. 'The gap is enormous.'

Glancing at the expressions of everyone present, an irrepressible smile spread across Qing Nan's face. Today, he had finally swept away the gloom and felt vindicated.

Even the face of Hai Shu Bodhisattva, standing before Yang An, showed a look of shock.

Others might not have been able to sense it, but as a Bodhisattva, he could tell with absolute clarity that the residual Buddha Nature on this child was incredibly rich and exceptionally pure—the purest he had ever encountered in his life.

'How could such a pure Buddha Nature exist?'

As this world's corruption grew ever more severe, the appearance of reincarnated Holy Children had become increasingly rare, their residual Buddha Nature growing weaker and more defiled.

The Holy Child named Ming Hui was a case in point. The residual Buddha Nature in his body was already extremely weak and quite turbid. Even so, he was considered a rare reincarnation of a Bodhisattva.

But compared to the Buddha Nature of the Holy Child before him now, Ming Hui wasn't even worthy to carry his shoes.

Not only that, but this child possessed not one, but two distinct strains of Buddha Nature.

The origins of both strains of Buddha Nature were recorded in the annals of the Great Virtue Temple. One was called Great Brightness Buddha, the other East Buddha. Both were renowned True Buddhas among the Three Thousand Buddhas.

As for the other phenomena surrounding Yang An—the Glazed Pure Light, the Buddha's Wheel of Light Appearance, and the Burning Finger Offering Buddha Country Phenomenon—even Hai Shu Bodhisattva could not fathom their origins.

Although these phenomena did not contain Buddha Nature themselves, the fact that they appeared alongside two types of True Buddha Nature meant they were anything but ordinary.

One thing was certain: this Holy Child was, without a doubt, the most promising True Buddha Reincarnation in the entire history of the Great Virtue Temple!

Feeling everyone's fervent gazes, and seeing even Elder Monk Hai Shu's expression grow increasingly solemn, Yang An felt his own anxiety skyrocket.

'Oh crap! Did I take it too far?'

'The man before me is an Insect Dao practitioner; I don't dare make a single rash move. But I can't control these phenomena. I only added a little special effect from the Lighting Technique—the burning finger thing—just to be more certain I could get into the Great Virtue Temple.'

He'd used it before in Celestial Buddha City in front of De Hou and Qing Nan, so it would've been suspicious not to use it now. That was why he'd forced himself to do it.

He looked nervously at Elder Monk Hai Shu. The old monk slowly withdrew his hand, and as the phenomena around Yang An faded, he took a deep breath. Yang An's Heart leaped into his throat.

The Ten Thousand Buddha Hall fell into an eerie, dead silence. No one dared to make a sound; they barely even dared to breathe.

After what felt like an eternity, Hai Shu Bodhisattva's solemn voice finally broke the silence:

"This child shall be the Buddha's Son of our Land of Great Virtue and Goodness!"

Hai Shu Bodhisattva's single sentence left everyone present utterly dumbfounded.
