Chapter 109: My husband wouldn’t like that

Li Jun felt like his ass was on fire. Well, it wasn’t literally on fire, but something was poking him really hard. Yu Wen was shameless enough to rub his crotch against him. He raised his hand to slap him awake, but his hand froze midair when he realized that would get him caught.

He finally managed to get out of Yu Wen’s arms, but it was incredibly difficult. Li Jun kept pulling him back while mumbling something. After fighting for his life, trying to get away from him, He glared at the culprit before putting on his shoes and running out of there.

The sun was already bright, but there was no way he was leaving through the door. He had to go back the way he came in. He closed the balcony door and attached the harness around his waist. Just then, he heard the door of the suite open.

"Fuck," he swore internally and ziplined down. When he reached the first balcony on the second lower level, he was met by two pairs of eyes looking at him. It was two older ladies. When they saw him, they yelped in surprise.

Li Jun smiled and said, "Sorry, I scared you, ladies. I was just cleaning some windows."

One of the older women said, "Well, you can come clean my windows any time." The two of them giggled like little high school girls.

He laughed with them before saying, "My husband wouldn’t like that."

The ladies seemed amused. They simultaneously let out an "Ohhhh."

One of them chimed in, saying, "He is a very lucky man." Li Jun ziplined down while smiling like a fool. When he reached his balcony, he was met by Yan Jia’s angry expression.

Li Jun, "..."

Could he just zip-line back up? She looked like she was going to kill him. "Umm, Sister Jia, I was wrong. Please spare me."

Yan Jia scoffed. "Get inside first, Your Highness. Everyone on the street can see you," she said, and Li Jun looked down. There were too many witnesses. He got inside in a hurry, and she asked, "Where is your ski mask?"

Li Jun touched his face and remembered taking it off last night. "Fuck, I must have left it in his room." To be exact, it was under Yu Wen’s bed.

"And what’s that?" she asked, her arms folded across her chest.

The clueless Li Jun asked, "What’s what?" Yan Jia pointed at her neck, and he looked down. When he saw the hickeys on there, he was genuinely shocked. That dog gnawed on him last night when he was sleeping.

She suddenly strode towards the door, her expression murderous. Li Jun had a bad feeling. He rushed over and blocked her path. "Where are you going?" he asked.

"I am going to kill him," she said as she tried to bypass him, but Li Jun stopped her each time.

"He was knocked out cold. I just slept beside him because he wouldn’t let go," he explained, trying to calm her down. If he had known that he would be bitten in his sleep, he would have kicked Yu Wen and gotten away much earlier.

Yan Jia knew that she couldn’t go and find Yu Wen to settle scores. It would only expose them. She knew that they couldn’t stay here any longer. When Yu Wen woke up and found that ski mask, he would undoubtedly investigate. People on the street had already witnessed him ziplining down the building.

She turned back around to pack their things, saying, "We have to go before anyone starts asking questions."

Li Jun also knew that she was right. They had to leave before Yu Wen started knocking door to door. "Yeah, let’s go," he said as he picked up a few clothes to change into. As soon as he stepped out of the bathroom, Yan Jia asked,

"The pendant... did you get it?" He didn’t even answer, but his expression said everything. Yan Jia sighed in exasperation. This was a terrible plan to begin with. He had risked being exposed and didn’t even get the pendant.

"Let’s go," she finally said, and they left the hotel in a hurry.

Three floors up, Yu Wen was now awake. Ever since Alex opened the door, he had found him sleeping peacefully on the bed. At first, he thought he should let him sleep a little longer, but when he thought of how he had called him several times and knocked on the door and Yu Wen didn’t wake up, he changed his mind.

"General... General... Yu Wen," he called out. He tapped his shoulder at first, afraid to piss him off, but when Yu Wen didn’t wake up, he became bolder. He shook him awake, but the best he could get out of him was a murmur.

Panicked, Alex called the physician, and the man who was already in the hotel rushed over. He was about to examine him when Yu Wen grabbed his wrist to the point of snapping. The doctor said, "General, it’s me," in a pleading tone.

Yu Wen let go and sat up with a jolt. For a split second, he was in a daze. Alex asked, "Sir, are you okay?"

Yu Wen looked around, and he suddenly remembered the person he was waiting for in the middle of the night. He had been waiting for them to intrude, and just as that figure appeared behind the French doors and curtains, he drew his plasma gun.

He was just waiting for them to show their face when gas was released into the air. Because the room was dark, he hadn’t initially noticed the tiny bots. By the time he noticed them, his eyes were already drooping shut.

While he was sitting there, the doctor had already drawn blood and was doing his tests. Alex asked, "What happened last night?"

He glanced over at him and said, "Someone broke in when you left. I was sitting in an armchair right outside waiting for them, but they knocked me out."

"So how did you end up in bed?" Alex asked before looking outside the door. Indeed, there was a plasma gun on the armrest, and there were multiple scorch marks on the carpet like someone had burnt it with something small.
