"Tell me you at least had surveillance in your room and checked what face he is using right now?" she asked, but when she heard his answer, she felt so frustrated. How could Yu Wen not think about this?

Yu Wen said, "Mum, why would I have cameras in my room? Who would have the guts to break into my suite." He felt stupid, too, for not setting up surveillance, but even if he had, he was sure Li Jun would have been prepared for that, just as he was prepared for the drones patrolling the two floors.

"That was your chance, and you wasted it. What if he doesn’t come back?" she asked, almost reprimanding him. Her son seemed to have wasted all of her efforts.

With an excited smile plastered on his face, Yu Wen said, "He will come back. He is looking for this." He showed her the pendant she was familiar with. That was Haku Ume’s pendant. The only reason she remembered was because she overheard some of those rich snobs calling it tacky and ugly. They were gossiping about her, saying how could an imperial queen wear something so cheap.

She couldn’t stand people gossiping behind Ume’s back, so she scolded them. It escalated to the point that the ringleader threw a drink in her face. Before hair could be pulled and faces scratched, her husband pulled her away.

The other day, when she sent Yu Wen’s picture, she hadn’t paid much attention. So that was what Li Jun was after, but could it just be an excuse? Lu Anu was sure that if he had asked her for the pendant, she could have convinced Yu Wen to give back what belonged to him. There was no need to make such a special trip. She concluded that Li Jun was just using it as an excuse.

"Next time, set up secret cameras and don’t let him run away. Oh, and don’t bother coming home if you don’t have him with you," she said, sending a stern warning. This was his chance, so he had better not waste it.

He looked at her and promised, "I will bring him with me. I just need my dating coach to teach me how to woo someone."

Lu Anu excitedly jumped out of bed. She pulled off her face mask and said, "That will cost you. I don’t work for free."

Yu Wen smiled as he said, "You can shop on StarNet at my expense. You can buy anything you want."

That’s what she liked to hear. "Good. Call me in an hour, and we will start classes," she said. After saying that, she hung up. She was so happy, you would think she had received news that she was going to be a grandma.

When an hour was up, Yu Wen called her. He was sitting there like a good student with a notebook ready. Lu Anu was happy that he was taking it seriously. The mother taught, and the son listened.

After absorbing all of his mother’s knowledge, Yu Wen was confident that this time he was going to get Li Jun. As long as he listened to his mother, he was sure he could win his heart.

The first step was to go to the mall and buy things that Li Jun liked and used often. He wouldn’t be able to get these things at the front lines, so he had to go and do some shopping.

Alex didn’t dare let him go out by himself, so he accompanied him. When he saw the general buying things he never used or liked, he was a little surprised. He wanted to ask, but deep down in his heart, he already knew who these things were for.

Yu Wen bought chocolates, long-shelf-life pastries, candy, drinks, tea, etc. The other things he didn’t think would be useful, at least not now. He didn’t think he would even be able to get Li Jun in bed in this current situation. But his mother insisted he buy them, so he did. On the list were scented candles, body oil, dry petals, lubricant, condoms, etc.

Yu Wen was about to say something when he suddenly looked back. He could sense someone was watching him. If he had to guess, that person could only be Li Jun. His lips curled into a charming smile that made the group of women nearby dazzled.

Li Jun was indeed watching him. He had been watching him ever since Yu Wen left the hotel. Yan Jia had told him it was a stupid idea, but that didn’t stop him. He had already forgotten how his stupid idea had almost gotten him caught this morning.

He followed him and watched as he bought things. He hadn’t been interested in what he was buying until he saw him go into an adult shop. Li Jun was extremely unhappy. His face was practically fuming. Gritting his teeth, he watched him put candles, then lubricant, then condoms. That was the last straw.

Li Jun mumbled, "Who the hell are you using them on?" He tapped the binoculars, and they zoomed in closer. Just then, Yu Wen looked in his direction and smiled. Thinking he had been caught, his heart leapt in his chest. But when he realized he was being stupid, he relaxed a little.

Yu Wen seemed dissatisfied with just one box. He put six more boxes in the basket, and Li Jun’s jaw dropped. Who the fuck buys that many? That was like a year’s supply. "You will get kidney deficiency having that much sex-"

Something was suddenly slammed on the table, startling him. He looked up and saw that it was an annoyed Yan Jia. "Your Highness, this isn’t appropriate," she said through her teeth.
