The People's God: Sacrificing Trillions to Ascend
Chapter 752 - Target: Lady Huang
Master Ou told Han Wu and Qin Shuang about the compiled information from the various records.
Unfortunately, the latter half of the scroll that likely depicted the time after the fall of the kingdom had been torn off. Still, some of the little information they had scraped together was vital—the fact that this secret realm once had a king, for one.
A king meant a palace, a place where a priceless item like the legendary Armament Spirit would surely be hidden. However, there was still the matter of figuring out the location of said palace.
After a period of fruitless wandering, Master Ou told them his mission. He wasn’t here for the legendary Armament Spirit but to avenge his master. The three people he wished to exact vengeance on were part of the Divine Weapon City’s team.
The chances of him completing his mission were low if he were to continue wandering aimlessly. Coincidentally, Han Wu had a Divine Weapon that allowed him to locate people: the compass. Master Ou named his three enemies—General Liu, Lady Huang, and Baili Changhe—and Han Wu checked their names on the compass.
Only Lady Huang’s name elicited a reaction, meaning she was the only one in the secret realm. The other two weren’t here yet.
“I hope you two will help me. As long as I avenge my master, I’ll give everything I obtain here in this secret realm to you two.”
Both Han Wu and Qin Shuang carefully considered his offer before eventually agreeing to it. After all, Master Ou was a good ally. Not to mention, Lady Huang’s name sounded familiar to Han Wu.
After he had killed Master Huang, Lady Huang had sent two of her guards, Huang Pi and Huang Mao, to assassinate him. He had already dealt with the pair, but the grudge against her remained. Thus, not only was he helping Master Ou, but he was also removing an enemy for himself.
At his command, Ah Mao used the compass to lock onto Lady Huang’s position, and the trio set off on the Firebat King, with Qin Shuang continuing to map the land below on the way.
They soon neared Lady Huang. She was hunting down the mummies en masse, her Celestial Shackles capturing every mummy within a fifty-meter radius. Those bound lost all manner of resistance, helpless to do anything but wait for Lady Huang’s Divine-grade trident to stab their hearts.
As the trio observed her, she noticed the compass’s presence in her vicinity. There was no mistaking the Divine Weapon she had forged with her own two hands.
Glancing up, she noticed the trio. Her eyes then fixed onto Ah Mao’s soul. The Locust Soul Orb controlled Ah Mao’s soul, forcing his loyalty to Han Wu.
Yet, when Ah Mao saw Lady Huang, his body started trembling. His fear of Lady Huang had been etched deep into his soul. There was a chance that he would lose control and attack the trio if it remained outside, so Han Wu hastily recalled him into the Locust Soul Orb.
Ah Mao’s soul was more than enough for Lady Huang to figure out that the trio was likely responsible for her son’s death. Master Huang was her favourite child, and his death had hurt her deeply.
“You three!” she shouted angrily. “One of you killed my beloved fourth son!”
“His death was a result of his actions,” Han Wu replied.
“Bullshit! I’ll bury your body with him!” With that, she tossed all the mummies still bound in her Celestial Shackles toward them before summoning her Divine Weapon.
A handkerchief appeared, growing and growing until it was the size of a rug. It then carried her up into the air towards the trio.
“Don’t let her get fifty meters within us,” Master Ou warned. “Her Celestial Shackles block the connection between us and our Divine Weapons.”
“Alright, we can just shoot her from far away,” Han Wu said, summoning his Small Locust Blades.
Considering Lady Huang’s strength, he decisively summoned all his 20,000 Small Locust Blades, which multiplied to 30 million after Triplicate and Seven Killings. The sheer number blotted out the sky like a huge cloud.
“Kill her!” The Small Locust Blades rained down onto Lady Huang.
As they entered the radius of her Celestial Shackles, chains shot out from her body and automatically deflected them.
The number of chains also increased in response. A rough count revealed a whopping 560 chains in total—enough to envelop her body and deflect all of the Small Locust Blades.
Han Wu summoned Locust-V.
“I never thought you would actually make it here!” it exclaimed, peering around gleefully, evidently knowing where they were.
“I don’t have time for idle chit-chat. See her? Blast her head off!”
Locust-V pouted, but still heeded Han Wu’s orders. Armor Piercing Rounds and Explosive Rounds were unleashed in rapid fire from its arms-turned-barrels.
Lady Huang’s Celestial Shackles blocked all of them.
Fortunately, the effects of both bullets still drained the durability of the Celestial Shackles. Seeking to exhaust it faster, Han Wu retrieved his Heavenly Demon Spike, rolling it in his palm before throwing it at Lady Huang with Spiral Pierce.
Several chains blocked it, but under the effects of Sure-Hit, it simply rotated ever faster, causing the durability of the Celestial Shackles to suddenly drop.
Lady Huang panicked for the first time since the battle began.
