Chapter 377: Law of Mind Realm
When Moku unlocked his fourth evolution gate, he gained the right to possess Pandava and the entire territory of the Mind Realm within it.
This full ownership enabled Moku to bring Pandava’s Orb Intent to the Astral Realm and create a domain similar to that of a mage.
He named this new power Vivid Dream because with the assistance of the Mind Realm’s power, he could create anything that existed in his mind.
However, reality differed from what he had known so far.
When he used Vivid Dream: Bhayangkara Squad, what happened was that Moku could only summon them instead of creating them with his imagination.
The Bhayangkara Squad had their own consciousness and perhaps even their own egos. This left Moku completely baffled about what the Mind Realm truly was.
He still remembered Garuda’s explanation that the Mind Realm is a dimension where all ideas, dreams, imaginations, and thoughts of all sentient beings converge.
Initially, Moku didn’t consider the creatures within the Mind Realm as living imaginations. They weren’t real, but rather a collection of ideas, dreams, imaginations, and thoughts from all sentient beings coming together to create a form.
However, after acquiring the Mind Body, Moku could explore the Mind Realm even though under Garuda’s supervision.
There, he encountered many anomalies that made him rethink the concept of the Mind Realm.
He met the legendary witch Mak Lampir, who turned out not to be a native inhabitant of the Mind Realm but merely a refugee who moved to this dimension from the Astral Realm.
Although she lived in the Mind Realm with a Mind Body like Moku’s, the passage of time eroded Mak Lampir’s body according to the laws of the Mind Realm. This caused her to lose her desires, or what the creatures of the Mind Realm referred to as Sin.
After that, Moku also encountered other legendary figures that astonished him.
Each of them had a great legend in their previous world.
Like the seven tiger guardians, renowned as guardians of Mount Merapi, and other legends. Each of them was either a native inhabitant of the Mind Realm or refugees living in this dimension.
However, the commonality among all these legendary figures was that they lacked desires like they had in their previous lives or in their legends.
This was because the Mind Realm itself had its own laws that eroded all those who lived within it.
But if it’s true that every creature in the Mind Realm lacks desires, then what about Moku? Would he also be eroded by the laws of the Mind Realm?
When Moku asked Garuda about this, he received an answer that it would not happen to him.
Before Moku obtained his Mind Body, he first had to unlock the second evolution gate.
To unlock this gate, Moku had to pay with one of his sins.
The sin Moku gave to Garuda was the sin of sloth, which made him live without being able to sleep and feel peace.
According to Garuda, the law of the Mind Realm would erode this sin of sloth until it was completely depleted before eroding other sins that Moku possessed. Eventually, Moku would transform into the same state as other creatures in the Mind Realm, living without desires.
However, this would never happen to Moku.
The reason being that Moku is the progenitor of his race, the asura. Thus, the more orcs open second evolution gate or asura babies born into the world, the greater the number of sins of sloth that the law of the Mind Realm would have to erode.
Like a business pyramid where the money earned at the top of the pyramid will never run out as long as the number of people beneath continues to increase.
But if Moku is saved by the sins of sloth of other asura, what about the other asura?
The answer is that they will be eroded by the law of the Mind Realm just like the refugees in this dimension.
The further generations of asura born from the moment Moku opened his second evolution gate will be eroded by the law of the Mind Realm at a faster rate. So, in a future generation, all born asura will have no desires at all and live like robots.
However, the actual reality is not like that.
The lower down the pyramid, the greater the number of asura. So, if it takes one month to erode one asura, it would take more than that to erode two asura.
Thus, if their numbers reach billions or even trillions, the erosion by the law of the Mind Realm no longer needs to be feared.
Moku also tried to alleviate this erosion by instructing all existing asura to connect their consciousness with Pandava.
This way, every asura who arrived and opened their fourth evolution gate would no longer need to have their own territory in the Mind Realm.
They only needed to occupy a small part of Pandava, which continued to grow over time. This limited the contact between an asura and the Mind Realm. Only when they used Mind Body or the power of Pandava would they have contact with the Mind Realm.
From this case, it can be said that the true power of the Mind Realm is not the ability to create anything the user imagines.
Instead, it is the power to erode all desires and consume anyone who enters it without being able to escape.
Vivid Dream is the ability to bring Pandava’s Orb Intent into the real world. Therefore, Pandava, which is a part of the Mind Realm, should also have the ability to erode desires.
However, in reality, Vivid Dream is not capable of copying the law of the Mind Realm, and Moku can currently only use the power to materialize the imagination of the Mind Realm.
Because of this, Moku cannot say that his Vivid Dream is a domain like those owned by mages.
Every domain a mage possesses will have specific effects on those who enter it.
For example, Raiden’s Domain: Grave of Suffering can control weaker enemy souls within it, or Foras’ Domain of Doom: Amalgam of Death can kill weaker enemies within it by infusing them with the essence of doom.
Based on Garuda’s explanation, the Domain ability used by mages is the ability to control a fraction of the Power of Law.
Every world has its own laws, and those laws are controlled by something. In this world, the laws are controlled by Mana. The closer a mage is to Mana, the stronger their control over the fraction of the Law Power.
However, a fraction is still just a fraction.
Mana doesn’t fully trust them to wield the Power of Law, so its usage remains limited.
In this case, the usage of the Power of Law is restricted to the extent of the domain that the mage is capable of creating.
Even though it’s only a fraction of the law, within a mage’s domain, they are like gods who control everything within it.
The laws within the domain follow the laws controlled by the mage.
So, even though the effects of the domain don’t affect Moku because he can counter them with dragon prana, it doesn’t mean Moku is unaffected.
Especially if the domain has effects that amplify the power of spells used by the mage or fulfill the requirements for spell usage, such as Foras’ Palm of Wrath.
In that case, Moku can’t do anything because it puts him at a disadvantage.
*BOOM!
Foras’ blow strikes Moon Blade hard once again, and this time Moon Blade, already filled with large cracks, shatters.
Moku no longer has a shield to limit him from Foras’ deadly attacks.
As a result, Moku is forced to once again use Padakacarma: Shadow Form, consuming a lot of his dragon prana.
Moku emerges again from behind the shadow of a large rock.
He looks exhausted, his body covered in wounds.
However, as if not wanting to give Moku any rest, Foras suddenly appears beside him and delivers a hard blow containing the essence of doom.
Moku could only cross his arms to block Foras’ powerful blow.
His body was thrown backward, crashing into dozens of boulders, shattering them into dust.
The essence of doom seeped into his hands, causing them to tingle. Moku gritted his teeth hard, resisting the urge to instinctively use dragon prana to cleanse all the essence of doom that entered his body.
The dragon prana he currently possessed was already very thin and would be dangerous if used further.
A Mana Demon’s thigh appeared in front of him, and Moku immediately devoured it. His reserve of dragon prana increased slightly but still wasn’t enough to cleanse all the essence of doom that entered his body.
"What am I lacking?" Moku asked himself.
But Foras, maybe hearing him, replied, "The domain you’re using is called Vivid Dream, right? Why does it feel like it’s not a domain?"
Hearing that, Moku’s eyes widened.
