Chapter 576: 576. Kicked out of Hero’s Party

Tyler opened his eyes slowly. A cool breeze brushed against his face. When he looked around, he realized he was standing in the middle of a forest. It wasn’t dense or dark forest but it was filled with strange trees he had never seen before.

"So this is my trial, huh..." Tyler muttered.

He took a breath. "Alright... Gacha."

The moment he said that, something rustled behind him. Tyler spun around out of reflex.

A small creature, a Kobold, jumped straight at his face, claws out and teeth bared.

Tyler didn’t even think. Something heavy was already in his hand. He swung it down with his full strength.

CRACK!

The Kobold smashed into the ground, twitched a little, then went still.

A faint line of text appeared in front of Tyler.

[You got 1 EXP.]

Tyler blinked. "Huh...?"

He looked at his hand and saw a copper pot. He got the Infinity Cauldron from the Gacha pull.

"As expected... all three sets of Infinity Copper Pot got selected," Tyler said with a small smile.

He turned his attention back to the glowing lines floating in front of his eyes.

"Is this... some kind of hologram?" he muttered. Then he shook his head. "No. It feels more like... a power system. Like those video games."

He hesitated for a moment, then said, "Open.... huh... window? Hmmm... Status?"

A blue window instantly opened.

---

Tyler stared at the screen.

"DNA Fertilizer...? What kind of weird skill is that?" he muttered, rubbing the back of his head.

He checked the stats again. "All my stats look weak except Vitality... and what’s MP supposed to be? Mana Points?"

He clenched his hand. It felt light, weak, almost fragile. Even killing that small Kobold made his arms feel tired.

"So I’m stuck in this weak body... with a strange skill... in the middle of an unknown forest." Tyler sighed deeply. "This trial is already annoying."

Then another thought struck him.

"Wait. Where’s Serena?"

He looked around, turning in circles, trying to sense her presence, but nothing happened. His divine sense didn’t activate. His usual powers were completely gone.

"I forgot, my divine sense won’t work here... Serena should have transmigrated somewhere near me, right?" Tyler muttered.

He paused. "...Why am I talking to myself so much? Is this Richard’s habit?"

He shook his head again and started walking deeper into the forest. His steps were slow and cautious, and he kept gripping the copper pot tightly.

’My divine sense is blocked... my cultivation is gone... I can’t feel anything from my old world’s power. Just how am I supposed to complete this trial like this? I got no hints on what to do.’ Tyler wondered.

The forest was quiet except for the crunch of leaves under his shoes. Then something caught his eye.

A skeleton lay half-buried in dirt, armor cracked, and a rusty sword stuck beside it.

Tyler froze.

"Ah? Is that... Serena?" he said, completely dumbfounded.

---

"Hero-dono... are you sure we should really leave him behind in this forest?" The girl in the nun outfit asked nervously. She had soft blue hair, a curvy busty body, and held a long staff decorated with holy symbols. She was the party’s Holy Priest, "He’s not even a combat class... and his skills are so weak..."

"Hmph." A tall, bald man with thick muscles scoffed. His skin was dark, and a giant shield rested on his back. He turned away from the priest with a snort, "It’s his fault for staying in the party. We are the chosen hero’s party sent to defeat the Demon King. Why would we need a Farmer? What can a Farmer even do in battle?"

Another girl, this one with long elf-like ears, twirled a small knife between her fingers. She was the group’s Rogue, sharp-tongued and impatient.

"Well, he probably thought he could leech off us. Good thing we got rid of him. We’ll just tell the princess that we ’lost him’ somewhere in the forest." She smirked coldly. "Like an accident."

Finally, the blonde man who walked in front of them stopped and looked back. He wore polished armor and carried a shining sword — the mark of a Chosen Hero. A symbol glowed faintly on his forehead, given by fate itself.

He sighed dramatically. "Don’t worry about that kid. Now that he’s gone, we can recruit a high-level Crusader or Archer to replace him. Honestly, what were we supposed to do with a Farmer? Ridiculous."

The others nodded in agreement.

And just like that, they left Richard (Tyler) behind in a dangerous forest. Not because he did anything wrong, but because they didn’t like him. They hated that he was weak, that he wasn’t flashy or powerful like the rest of them. And also he is just a peasant from a country side village.

They didn’t just kick him out. They abandoned him where monsters roamed freely, making sure he would never return.

---

Meanwhile, Tyler stood in front of a skeleton, staring at it with a blank expression.

"I’m an idiot..." he muttered. "This skeleton looks like it’s been dead for years. So of course it’s not Serena..."

For a moment he’d almost panicked, thinking the skeleton with patches of green weeds around its skull, (weeds that looked like green hair), was Serena. But now that he looked closely, he felt embarrassed.

"Maybe it’s because Richard’s thinking habits are mixing with mine... I feel slower." Tyler rubbed his temples.

Then suddenly —

"...What is this nostalgic feeling?"

A strange, uncomfortable sensation crawled through his body.

He froze.

"...I want to pee."

He stood there in disbelief.

After becoming a cultivator, Tyler never had to deal with basic bodily needs anymore. With one thought, cultivators expelled all toxins from their bodies. But now... he was back in a normal human body, weak and mortal.

"Great. Just great." He sighed and walked behind a tree.

"Damn it, how many times has my power been reset ever since I entered the Boundless World?" Tyler complained as he did his business.

He finished peeing and turned to leave, then stopped mid-step.

"Wait..."

He quickly opened his status window again.

Skill: DNA Fertilizer

Tyler narrowed his eyes. "DNA... Fertilizer? DNA... ? Hmm..."

Then he noticed something else in the status window.

MP: 4/5

"I lost an MP too... But all I did was..." His eyes slowly turned toward the patch of ground he had just peed on.

"... As expected I used my DNA?" He walked over to a small area where tiny grass weeds grew.

"I can fertilize plants by peeing...?" To test it, Tyler took out a small knife from his waist. He pricked his finger, letting a single drop of blood drip onto the weed.

"Technically, I could have spat," he muttered. "Spit has my DNA too... well, whatever."

The drop of blood fell.

Tyler checked the window again.

MP: 3/5

"Lost another MP... so yeah, this skill is activating automatically whenever something with my DNA touches plants."

For ten long minutes, he crouched beside the weeds like a weird gardener.

Then, very slowly, the weed sprouted a little taller.

Tyler’s eyes widened, "It actually grew."

He stood up and dusted off his knees.

"So that’s the skill. DNA Fertilizer... it makes plants grow faster. But using this skill costs MP every time my DNA touches them." He rubbed his chin. "And with only five MP at max, I can barely grow anything."

Just then —

[You got 2 EXP.]

Tyler blinked. "Huh? Two EXP? But killing a Kobold gave me only one. Why does this give more?"

He opened his status again.

"Ah... I get it now," Tyler said. "It’s probably because of my Occupation. Farmers gain more EXP from farming-related actions."

He sighed again, though now a small smile appeared, "Looks like I have a lot of work to do..."

He lifted his copper pot and smirked.

"Or maybe not. With this, I can easily—" His words stopped.

The bushes ahead rustled.

Tyler tightened his grip on the pot, eyes narrowing.

An orange cat suddenly popped out from the bushes, its fur bristling slightly. Both the cat and Tyler froze when they saw each other.

They blinked at the exact same time.

"A cat... in the middle of this forest?" Tyler muttered, confused.

The cat’s gaze dropped to the copper pot in Tyler’s hand. Its eyes widened in surprise, as if it recognized the item. It took a cautious step forward, staring at the pot with almost human-like curiosity.

Then, without warning, the cat opened its mouth and dropped something onto the ground, a small pearl.

The pearl glowed faintly, and inside seems like it has its own world.

Tyler’s heart skipped a beat.

"Serena...?" he whispered.

The orange cat nodded and meowed.
