Transmigration: From Farmer To Empress
Chapter 2129 - 34: The Grand Finale
After waiting for more than another Shi Chen, Chang Mei and Brother Ying still hadn’t returned, and Cai Wei couldn’t reach them. Finally, she couldn’t hold back her anxiety any longer.
Although Brother Ying and Chang Mei were merely two Divine Beasts, over the years, Cai Wei had come to see them as her family. She was very protective, especially since they were the ones she had sent into the Cave, and now with their fates unknown and no news, how could she be at ease?
"No, I must go in and see." She stood up and stepped towards the Small Cave.
Nangong Yi was a step ahead of her, blocking her path, and said, "Wait here; I’ll go."
Cai Wei knew he was concerned for her, and softly said, "Yi, listen to me. Although you are a man and your Martial Arts skills exceed mine, don’t forget I have Space. If any difficulty arises, I can flee into Space, ensuring nothing goes wrong. But you can’t do that. The situation here is complex, and we don’t know what is inside the Cave—whether monster or demon, ghost or deity. You’re but a mortal man; if anything happens, how can you handle it? So, let me explore; you stay here."
Nangong Yi was not at ease letting her go alone; after pondering for a moment, he said, "How about we go together? I’ll lead, and you follow me."
Seeing his determined expression, leaving no room for argument, Cai Wei agreed. The two of them entered the Cave, crawling one after the other.
The Husband and wife crawled in this narrow and winding Cave for about six to seven days, resting when tired, sleeping in Space when sleepy, and eating a bit before continuing. On the seventh day, they suddenly saw a faint star-like light ahead. Nangong Yi, in the lead, seeing the light, said, "Madam, there is a way out."
Cai Wei was overjoyed at the news, and with renewed energy, she crawled vigorously forward.
Out of the Cave Entrance, they saw green Mountains and lush Trees; it was a different realm.
Nangong Yi stretched his back, stood and adjusted his attire, then turned back to help Cai Wei up, saying, "We finally made it out."
Cai Wei was also very happy. Relying on the main road, the two walked and observed, covering fourteen or fifteen li, gradually growing hungry. They saw blue and green Streams beside the road, with Chrysanthemum covering both banks, and went to scoop some water to drink. Little did they know, this water wasn’t easy to drink. The Immortals called it "Chrysanthemum Spring," most effective for longevity. After a few sips, Cai Wei and Nangong Yi felt refreshed and light-footed, as though it tasted even better than the Lingxi River Water In Space.
After drinking water, they walked another ten or more li, when they suddenly glimpsed the top of a tree revealing a Glazed Tile Roofed Ridge, golden and brilliant, not knowing what place it was. Hastily hurrying to see, they discovered a Blood-red temple gate, surrounded by white Jade platforms. There were nine levels, each more than a zhang high, with no steps or ramps, only vines and wood to climb. Nangong Yi, being a martial arts practitioner, lifted Cai Wei and with a light leap, flew to the top.
The door was closed, and Nangong Yi went to knock. After three knocks, a Green-dressed child opened the door and said, "Two donors, my Master has been waiting for you for quite some time. Please follow me to pay respects to Master."
Nangong Yi said, "Who is your Master? How did he know we were coming to see him?"
The child laughed and said, "In matters under Heaven and Earth, what doesn’t my Master know? Donor, don’t ask. You’ll know when you see him."
The three of them walked in the temple to the Jade Steps below, looking up at the wall as magnificent as the Heavenly Palace, truly a worthy place. What met their eyes: Vermilion Roofs dazzling in the sun, emerald tiles marking the clouds. A hundred-foot Glazed Tile Palace, nine-level white Jade rock terrace. Intricately carved beams, engraved with Dai Man, rows of embroidered columns inlaid with Coral. A palace of pearls and shells, flying eaves connecting floating clouds; Jade mansions, painted pillars always cloaked in a pale mist. Serpentine balustrades enclose agate, deep curtains hang pearls. Blue Phoenixes and Black Cranes dance in pairs, White Deer and Red Unicorns roam together. Thousands of wildflowers bloom bright, with hundreds of Birds chirping tranquility in the woods.
When the couple looked inside the Hall, they saw a Fairy maiden sitting in the center, wearing a green Jade Lotus crown, draped in a Gold-threaded Feather Dress, with a Yellow Rope tied at her waist, Vermilion Shoes on her feet, holding a Ruyi in her hand, with an aura of roaming the Eighth Extremities. On the East-West sides, sat four on each side, with a celestial demeanor, each with a different colored robe. The entire Hall was enveloped in auspicious clouds, misty with fragrance, truly silent among the myriad things, with not a speck of dust, very solemn.
Cai Wei and Nangong Yi, both knowledgeable people, saw the appearance and aura of these figures, knowing they were not ordinary. They stepped forward to bow, met each, and recounted the circumstances of their accidental arrival.
The Fairy maiden in the center said, "All things have causes and conditions. Your presence here is not by mistake but because you are fated with the Immortal Realm. Why not stay?"
