The transelation is a bit confusing because some term issues when it comes to his, her, dad, grandfather and aunt, and mother but despite that, this story is a page turner.  While it is a classic troup, the stroy is well thought out with few plot holes and even when I thought ha why did the character not do this or that it would explain logically why in a few pages.  If you like a fairy tale setting where the heroine is smart and the hero is actually kind then this is the book for you.  It read like a long fairy tale and it makes for a more realistic view of ancient China instead of it being everyone in power being bad and all the poor being good it treated the characters as individuals with thier own thoughts and ideas.
